With the unpredictable weather we have in maine, this lake house was perfect to offer a place to enjoy in any weather type. In the sun on the dock, by the. fire in the shade, on the patio or deck with a beautiful lake view. The spacious interior allowed for our group to spread out and relax.
This is a very nice property. I would recommend to friends and I would return myself as well if I am back in the area. They took extra effort having decorated the place for Christmas. Very clean, well stocked with basics you expect.
Lovely stay. House was clean & well equipped. The downstairs game/TV area great for kids. Kayaks & life vests were ready to go & in all sizes. Furniture was well thought out & comfortable. The sound system around the house was great. The floor to ceiling windows really define this house. We watched beautiful sunsets and really enjoyed our stay! Thank you.
The property was exactly as advertised! The owners had great communication and the space was great for our big family group. We arenât boaters so not being able to jump off the dock and swim was a bit disappointing but again, the listing clearly described the water situation. There is a beach down the road but I wouldnât really call it a beach and not ideal when you have an infant. The game room and outdoor space with the fire pit was a lot of fun and all well maintained. Thereâs a lot to do in the area within 10-20 min drive.
The house is gorgeous and very thoughtfully decorated and arranged. We loved being able to spend time together in multiple locations - fun, expansive game room area, giant sectional couch that fit everybody in the main open-concept living room, big dining room table and overflow seating at the kitchen counter on stools, outdoor dining on the deck AND the ground-level patio, and a large fire pit area. The spacious feel of the whole property was great. The bedrooms were comfortable. The mini-splits did well to keep the inside of the house cool and comfortable! Kitchen was well stocked and host provided some extras for cleaning and running dishwasher/washing machine, which was a nice touch.
We did have an incident where we were locked out because the battery on the front door system needed to be changed. Sarah got back to me immediately when we reached out for assistance and we were able to figure out what needed to be done with little stress. This could have been quite a nuisance but she was pleasant, helpful and even gave us a partial refund for our troubles - thanks very much to her for her thoughtfulness and kindness.
The only negatives: the water is very shallow in front of this property and this cove does have milfoil. It isnât a secret but being unfamiliar with this area of the lake, we just didnât know. Just make sure youâre extremely cautious navigating in and out so that you donât hit bottom or rocks, and check your boat for milfoil when entering the main lake.
Chalet in Sebago Cove was wonderful for our group of 8! The house is accessible and excellent in every way. Everything is provided. We had such a fun time on the water, in the kayaks. The beds were super comfortable and the living space so space! Downstairs game room is a must! Thank you for such a memorable experience!
The setting was quiet and beautiful. The hostess was very responsive. It is a great place for a family reunion. The kitchen was equipped with everything you needed.
My family always goes up to Maine/New Hampshire this time of year, the location of the house is great! 40 minutes to Fryeburg/Conway NH and only 5 mins to center of Naples.
Would def rent again, ple th of space for the 3 families (5 adults, 5 kids)
We had a lovely stay at the Chalet with three generations of family. there were some thing for everyone to do, and it was nice and quiet. House was amazing, clean and very spacious with lots of gathering spaces. We rented a boat, we were easily able to dock it, just know the water is shallow and there is milfoil which sort of prohibits jumping and swimming from the dock (you can do this at the beach down the road). Would highly recommend!!!
Very nice home with plenty of sleeping room all of which were cool despite the 90âs outside. The addition of the three mini splits in the guest bedrooms was a real plus.
The kitchen was very well stocked and the coffee, paper towels and TP were a nice touch.
We felt that the cleaning crew could use a little more guidance as the counters were sticky, none of the AC remotes were in the wall holders and there were wet sheets in the washer that we did not discover until days later requiring a rewash. There was lots of left over food in the fridge, pantry and bread drawer that we had to remove upon arrival.
We knew before arriving that there would be no swimming off the dock given the rocks and invasive milfoil in the cove. What we did not expect is that this scourge of every lake would take over this end of the cove. We had two sets of friends with boats stop by for a visit and both spent an hour when departing to remove the milfoil which acts like a rope, before their props were free. One of our friends actually lives year round a few hundred yards up the cove towards the lake. They are very concerned that the milfoil will continue itâs march towards the lake despite efforts to control it by the LED.
We dealt with this issue by driving to the Naples Public Beach where parking was free, shade and sun were both abundant and the water was crystal clear in the cordoned off swimming area. The drive was about 5 minutes and we never had a problem parking.
My family and a friend stayed at this cottage for a week and had a most amazing time! I would stay here again if it wasnt so far from where my dad lives. This was probably our best vacation ever. The kitchen is stocked so you can cook every night! The confort factor was amazing and there is plenty of space for people to spend quality time alone if needed. The game room is amazing! Ping pong air hockey and poker table and a big closet full of games to play! We rented a pontoon and that was amazing as we had a dock! Beautiful sunsets and a great firepit where we made smores!
Just the best place ever! Recommend highly for group of good friends or family of about 6 to 12.
The master suite was so sweet!
A+!!!!
We had a lovely family vacation week at the chalet! For starters id like to say a special thank you to sarah. She was an amazing and gracious host who responded to every single one of our inquiries in a flash! We arrived in Maine a lot earlier than anticipated due to traffic being very cooperative and we were able to check in early which was a great start! The house was immaculate and left us nothing to do but unpack upon arrival! Very well stocked with all your necessities. Not having to bring bed sheets and bath towels was a huge plus!
Though the house is beautiful spacious and had everything we could ask for and then some, I must say I was a bit disappointed with the area on the water in which the house is located. Itâs in a cove where milfoil is present and therefore is extremely weedy, and rocky and not ideal at all for swimming and/or floating. Luckily we had a boat and could travel to the sandbars of beautiful Sebago Lake to enjoy fun in the sun! Boat rentals are also very close to the property!
The other thing I would like to mention is the house did get extremely warm in the higher temperatures, and tho the house is equipped with an AC, it simply does not have the capacity to cool the entire house, especially the bedrooms on the first floor. Extra fans are highly recommended if youâre visiting in the summer months!
Overall we made the best of it and enjoyed our time together as a family making memories!
Thank you again to Sarah and family!!
Plenty of ample space for families to gather and enjoy! The dock was perfect to moor our rental boat and even though the lake was quite high from all the rain, we enjoyed some fun time on the sand bar. Plenty of activities and games for all ages and the downstairs area was a great hang for the kids in our party! I love the property's IG account and will continue to follow for our vacation next year. Thank you Sarah and family for sharing your beautiful Chalet!
The property was exactly how the pictures showed! Everything was clean and convenient! Travelled with little kiddos and they had a blast! Rented a boat and it was easy to dock! We will save this listing for future getaways!
Our family had a great weekend! The property was gorgeous and well maintained. It was fully equipped with everything one would need including lots of activities for children. The views of the lake and sunsets were fabulous! We would definitely rent again and highly recommend it to others.
Great Place For Family Reunion after attending Sonâs Wedding
We had an awesome time at the Chalet.. everything was exactly as described..plenty of games and toys for the kids. Even though the weather was not the best(rained 2 out of 3 days) there was plenty to do. The setup of the Chalet was good for kids to be in the game room with Adults on the main level. We had family come from across the globe..Australia and totally enjoyed it! My grandsonâs loved fishing off the newly built dock! We would LOVE to go back someday!!
house fit 9 of us so perfectly with still plenty of space to hangout and gather - we enjoyed the fire pit by the water for amores, ricks cafe (only a 7min drive), and personally loved the comfort of the entire home! The host was so responsive and kind - highly recommend staying here!
Paid a premium price, but disappointed. Poorly maintained. Basic housekeeping okay, but posts missing on deck stair rails, poison ivy near paths, outdoor umbrella had been burned, grill filthy and not usable, door screens ripped, freezer door handle missing, indoor leather ottoman burned, moldy shower curtain, broken ping pong table and equipment & on & on. Plant growth and trash on made lake uninviting.
The Chalet is a welcoming and comfortable space! We enjoyed the views, the fire pit, the dock, and big couch with room for all of us. The games were great to have too.
The house is newer but lacked some elements that I expected to have with this type of nightly rate. Only one of the bedrooms has A/C, and we roasted in the other three at night as it was 90+ degrees and humid. The provided fans helped but we were expecting A/C throughout the house. Some windows and door screens are torn, letting bugs in the house, 1/3 of the grill burners donât work, and the freezer door handle was missing. There are other little things that were missing or would have been nice; the place just seems a little tired after cycling through a lot of renters.
Still, a nice spot to relax and access Sebago Lake (Sebago Cove is fine for boating but not for swimming!).
The Chalet is beautiful, exactly what we were expecting from the pictures. The rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. We spent a lot of time on the water, thanks to the dock which we used to keep the boat we rented for the week. It was exactly what we all needed.
Our family has been vacationing in Maine for five generations, it's our tradition. We are thrilled to share the beauty of it all with our guests and hope you fall in love as we have. We enjoy every season, as each has something special to offer.
Sebago Lake is unique in that it has so much variety to offer. Large enough to never finish exploring it, but our cove is small enough to be very peaceful. It's close to Portland/Freeport/North Conway if you'd like a taste of the city, but also rustic enough to appreciate the Maine lifestyle. There is something nearby for everyone to enjoy, no matter your interests.
Quite simply, the location. The cove offers tranquility while also providing access to big fun/crazy Sebago. Our home faces the West and we enjoy stunning sunsets. It's the perfect step into nature, while having all the comforts of home.
