Townhome at North End of Beautiful Forsyth Park

This beautiful brick townhouse, built in 1896, is one-half block from the north end of Forsyth Park and has a view of the park fountain from the front porch. The house is in a location that is ideal for exploring all of the sights that the largest Landmark Historic District in the USA has to offer. You will be only minutes away from great restaurants, antiques, shopping, museums, River Street, City Market and only a few blocks from the Mercer-Williams House, Crystal Beer Parlor, Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room, and may other attractions, that are all within walking distance.

The house has been completely renovated and features all of the modern conveniences that you expect, plus the character of an old house that you desire, such as heart pine floors, stained glass windows, original moldings and high ceilings. The bedroom has its own attached private ceramic tiled bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The interior design is comfortable and inviting . There is a beautiful enclosed rear deck and landscaped courtyard, in addition to a furnished front porch, perfect for morning coffee or an evening cocktail.

Downtown Savannah is only a twenty minute drive from the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and 25 minutes from the beaches at Tybee Island. The townhouse is easily accessible from I-16 as you approach the Savannah Historic District. There is ample free on-street parking both in the front and on the side of the townhouse.

A beautiful home close to Forsythe Park, a lot of interesting things to do within walking distance. The home is well stocked, comfortable and very inviting. There are stairs but as older folks, we were a little unsure of but all was good. The bedrooms are gorgeous and welcoming. We enjoyed our time in this beautiful home. And Savannah is a truly magnificent city. Warm days and kind people.

Our rental was very comfortable, well-stocked, beautifully appointed and just plain lovely. We enjoyed it thoroughly - inside and out, and also appreciated the convenient location. The Owner was very responsive and thoughtful. This was a great rental.

4 nights in Savannah

The home is absolutely lovely! Clean, welcoming and absolutely comfortable. The host was super helpful. She gave us outstanding restaurant suggestions and even had umbrellas for us to use on a rainy day.

“At home” in Savannah

The “vibe” in this home was like a very good friend had invited us to stay in her home while away. It was thoughtfully and tastefully decorated with everything one could need. 5 stars are simply not enough.

The property and accommodations were top notch. While we were out and about much of the day exploring we enjoyed coming ‘home’ to a cozy, beautiful, relaxing environment. The Townhome is beautiful and well cared for by the owner who checked in with us soon into our stay. While we did not take advantage of all that was offered to us in the place we lacked for nothing we needed. Perfectly situated for our vacation and we walked 99% of the time.

Savannah Townhouse

Wonderful experience! We were within walking distance of so many Savannah must see attractions: Forsyth park, Mrs. Wilkes, Mercer/Willians house. The townhouse is beautifully preserved. Our hostess thought of all the details to ensure a pleasant experience.

Perfect Getaway!

Charming restored town home in a great location! We stayed in this home during a "girl's" weekend, and couldn't have been more satisfied. Beautiful period decor throughout, but, equipped with every modern amenity! Betty was a wonderful hostess! We felt right at home! If you're visiting Savannah, this home makes a great choice for your stay.

in the heart of the Historic District

What a comfortable and welcoming place to land for our anniversary getaway! Betty is a thoughtful and caring host, and the house is a true reflection of Southern hospitality. It was a wonderful retreat to reflect, reconnect, and recharge. With Forsythe Park literally steps away and the riverfront a short 15-20 minute walk, the location was perfect.

Beautiful and Well Equipped

Our family stayed here to attend a wedding. This is a beautifully decorated and well-equipped home. Cool and comfortable -- an oasis from the summer heat and humidity. Steps from lovely Forsythe Park. Betty (the owner) is lovely to work with.

Beautiful home in historic district with beautiful outdoor areas

This historic home was beautiful inside & out. We really enjoyed sitting outside visiting in afternoon & evening in the cozy areas Betty provided. This house had everything we needed & was perfect to share with another couple. It was really close to Forsyth Park & walkable to the whole historic district & River. Betty was wonderful to communicate with & always responded quickly. We would highly recommend this gorgeous home!

This beautiful old Savann...

This beautiful old Savannah home has been restored to very modern condition, but maintains a taste of sophositicated old decor. A very nice and quiet place to stay with plenty of room for 4 to enjoy their individual privacy. My wife enjoyed the decor so much she plans to redecorate our home with similar ideas. A very nice home and we enjoyed our stay.

Fun with friends in Savannah

Betty's place is absolutely beautiful! The location is central to many sights and a block from Forsyth Park. Her home has everything you could possibly need, and a lovely outdoor deck area along with 2 porches. Her plants are stunning, both inside and out. Betty was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. She is an excellent host!

Warm and inviting

My husband, daughter and I stayed at this beautiful home while celebrating my daughter’s 21st birthday. From the minute we walked through the front door we felt at home. The location is excellent, we were able to walk everywhere from River Street to Savannah Coffee Roasters (my favorite). Betty responded quickly with any questions we had, and was a lovely host. You can tell she takes great pride in her home, and it certainly reflects that. We sure didn’t want to leave!

Savannah’s Finest at Forsyth Park & Fabulous Host

We booked this lovely home for an annual girls trip and at the last minute had a family emergency and needed to change our stay by one day. Betty took care of us and made all the necessary arrangements to accommodate our new dates and was so kind and understanding. The home is lovely and we loved using the beautiful outdoor spaces. The home had everything we needed and so much more. The location is ideal for walking to restaurants and enjoying Savannah’s beautiful architecture and nature. I would highly recommended this property!!

We stayed at the townhous...

We stayed at the townhouse for three days in early September 2009. The accommodations thoroughly exceed our expectations. The townhouse was extremely comfortable, luxurious and its location was great. The pictures on the website do not fully show how nice the unit was. The owner of the unit, Betty, was also very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Savannah area.

Great Ladies' Week-End

Three friends and I chose Savannah as our annual week-end trip. We were lucky enough to get to stay at Betty's house. The house and location are fabulous! It's better than the photos and Betty is very helpful. We ate at Leoci's for Italian and The Green Truck for burgers - both very good. We've probaly been spoiled for our future trips - it will be hard to beat this house. We walked to the river several days although the free shuttle is a block away.

Four family members met in Savannah for a get-together, and were absolutely delighted with the accommodations and location. The photos do not do the home justice, and the owner had thought of every imaginable convenience. She was delightful and accommodating, and was the epitome of Southern hospitality. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it. My daughter-in-law always takes her own linens when she travels, but didn't even take them out of her suitcase because everything was so clean and of such high quality. Loved it! Thank you, Betty! Our stay in your home could not have been more perfect!
