Spacieux, tout nouvel appartement de 2 chambres au bord de la mer avec vue sur l'océan

Ce nouvel appartement est situé dans une partie récemment rénovée de l'ancienne usine de poisson au cœur du village d'Eyrarbakki. Il a été achevé à l'automne 2018. Il a un plan d'étage ouvert spacieux avec deux chambres, parfait pour les familles ou les petits groupes voyageant ensemble. Il dispose d'une cuisine complète avec de tout nouveaux appareils, notamment une cuisinière à induction, un four à convection, un lave-vaisselle, un réfrigérateur intégré, un four micro-ondes, un grille-pain, une bouilloire et une cafetière Senseo. La salle de bain dispose d'une douche à l'italienne avec pomme de douche à effet pluie. L'appartement dispose d'un chauffage au sol. Le coin salon dispose de deux canapés d'angle et d'une vue sur l'océan Atlantique ouvert. Il y a aussi une terrasse privée à l'avant avec des meubles de patio pour profiter du crash des vagues.

Great Spot near Golden Circle

This place is clean and well laid out. Our adult family of 5 were very comfortable here. Highly recommend. Right by the water and in the cute town of Bakki.

The apartment was exactly as described, well equipped, and very clean, with lots of hard surfaces. It is situated right next to the ocean, which makes for a very nice setting. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful apartment in Eyrarbakki, Iceland.

We were a little concerned when approaching the building, but when we found the office and were taken to our apartment, we were SO presently surprised! Very clean, comfortable, modern, well appointed suite, right by the ocean beach. Would highly recommend to others.The only issue that we had is that the previous tenant had turned off the radiant hot water heated floors completely (not good!) and the manager had put it on full hot to get it warm for us (thoughtful, but not good!) and it was SO hot that even with the windows open, we could not sleep, even after adjusting down considerably...it takes something like 8 hours to recover the room temperature to where it should be with radiant floors. (Please, as guests in Iceland, NEVER turn off radiant floors!!)I am sure that this was just an odd anomaly though. The apartments are really lovely and I would highly recommend it to others, and hopefully the previous tenant won't mess it up for you with the heat! : )

Perfect Spot

We had a perfect stay here. The apartment was exactly as described. It was clean and comfortable and accommodated our party of 5 perfectly. The area is just off the beaten path in a quiet seaside town with a path by the ocean. It was great for our family. Communication with the host weeks prior to our arrival was not great. Once we were within a week of arrival, we received an email and telephone number. We needed to reach out in hopes of an early check-in, and folks were very kind, responsive and accommodating. The only recommendation that I can offer is to have fans available. The rooms can get quite warm, and cross ventilation is limited due to the structure of the building. Fans would be helpful for the warmer summer days.

Merveilleux

Un magnifique logement d'une belle grandeur et très confortable. Parfaitement équipé, tout y est. Situé au bord de l'eau, lieux très calme et paisible en plus d'être proche du cercle d'Or et de visites à ne pas manquer. Luxueux, un peu plus cher, mais très apprécié dès notre arrivée en Islande. Je le recommande aisément !

Nice location but not worth the price

The apartment is on the small side. The bathroom was clean but the floor looked stained and the toilet like to flush constantly. We had to push and hold the button (many times) to get it to stop flushing constantly. The listing is a little misleading, you don't get to pick which apartment you want, so you might not be right on the water or even have an ocean view as promised. Even if you do get an ocean view, you can't get to the water's edge without crawling over a lot of large boulders. The restaurant that was recommended was not good, there were not a lot of options and the food was bland. On the plus side, we could see the aurora from the parking lot and we watched a beautiful sunrise over the water. I would not stay again, knowing that the price is way too high for the quality that we received. The address that was listed was incorrect, so we had to drive around town in the dark looking for the right place. Luckily the town is fairly small and there is a road along the "ocean view" houses.

Great apartment wonderful location

I just wish we could have stayed longer… the apartment was clean, spacious and the kitchen was well supplied. The host was pleasant and accommodating. We loved watching the sun “set” over the ocean. It took us just a little under an hour to get to the Blue Lagoon and was also easy to get to Selfoss.

Great Stay for Boys' Trip

My father, brother and I stayed at this property for one night during a boys' trip to Iceland in October 2021. Check in was easy, the property had tons of space (one room with two singles and one room with a king, I think) and was extremely clean. Proximity to the ocean made for great morning views. Would highly recommend this property to others.

Insgesamt ein super Aufenthalt und ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Einzige negative Aspekte waren, dass die Schlafzimmer keine Tageslichtfenster hatten und dass die Unterkunft auf dem Foto etwas einsamer und idyllischer wirkt, als es tatsächlich der Fall ist. Dennoch waren wir insgesamt sehr zufrieden und können die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

Coastal location in a small fishing village

Loved the proximity to the water; we enjoyed walking along the coast in the evening and viewing the seabirds and surf. The town is small but has what you need (and Selfoss is not far away if you need a large grocery store). The apartment is very spacious and was perfect for the four of us.

really enjoyed our entire trip to Iceland. It was fun to stay in a few different locations. Eyrarbakki was a delightful quiet village right on the water. We even got to see a viking kitten romping on the shore rocks.

Great value, and super spacious accommodation. Fantastic facilities including coffee maker (with coffee), salt, pepper and sugar which are nice touches. Fantastic location with Selfoss nearby with supermarkets/off license/petrol stations. Would definitely come back!

I'm Jessi, an American living in Iceland. Together with my husband Jóhann (who's Icelandic), we own and manage the local restaurant Red House (The Red House) as well as 16 guest apartments and a small hostel here in Eyrarbakki.

Our apartments are located in the old fish factory in the heart of the village, right on the seaside. This large building was abandoned for many years after the harbor closed and the fishing industry shut down. Piece by piece, we are turning it into apartments for guests. It's perhaps not your typical vacation rental, because the apartments are purpose-built as guest accommodation—but it's a tiny village and we would like to invite more visitors to come and stay without taking family homes off the market. A small part of the building has a 36-bed hostel, and that's where we will meet you with the keys.

My husband and I are both avid travelers, having living in Thailand, Mexico, and Honduras before moving to Iceland. We love Iceland and our little village, and we
