The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. It was very quiet and peaceful. Please do heed the warnings about weather and icy conditions as you will not be able to navigate the driveway without 4 wheel drive or chains. We had the best time and only about 5 minutes from downtown
Cabin was very clean, comfy master king bed. Ample supply of coffee filters and salt& pepper and other spices. Driveway is extremely steep. We swept the 6" depth of leaves off so our tires wouldn't spin. I've been in contact with the owner about a few items to address. Overall we had a good 6 days (except for the rain).
Nice home, we enjoyed our overnight stay. If you're coming in on motorcycles the steep driveway could be a bit daunting for an under experienced rider. Other than that it is a nice location, quiet, well kept.
Over all the house was wonderful. It is very convenient to both Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge. All the rooms were clean and well stocked. My only negative would be the driveway pictures do not do how steep it is justice. We had two Jeeps and thatâs all there was really room for. A full size truck and full-size SUV, I feel would have a hard time navigating up and down the driveway and maneuvering at the top of the hill.
Conveniently located. Quiet wooded hillside lot. Basic furnishings and kitchenware. Enjoyed the Hot Tub. Steep driveway up to visible drive in pics is a bit of a challenge at first encounter, but not a deal breaker. Hosts are clear with communication.
Once we arrived after the official check in time the place had not been cleaned, towels were not washed, beds were not made. Housekeeping had obviously not prepared the cabin for our arrival. That was rather disappointing. The rest of the stay was fine.
This place is absolutely amazing. The kitchen and living room is big, all the beds are actually really comfortable, and the hot tub is perfect even in the heat. Itâs just minutes away from Gatlinburg and about 15 minutes from pigeon forge. Definitely a perfect place to stay. The drive way is a little steep especially if you never have lived or visited a place in the mountains but we are use to it so it wasnât that bad. Definitely will be staying again.
The cabin was a great quiet place to lay your head at night after long days of exploring Gatlinburg and/or Pigeon Forge. Close location. Quiet neighborhood. Just use caution with the driveway.
Cabin interior is very clean and well kept. However, thicker towels and new pillows would be nice. Also by the back bedrooms, the floor is extremely squeaky and spongy like there is a support joist issue. The outside deck and steps need a good cleaning, demildewing, and staining. The mildew is very slick and I almost fell The MAIN ISSUE, is the driveway. It is terrible. It is on a steep slope and that cannot be helped but at the hairpin turn, it needs to be widened AND the driveway needs to be demoted and at least the lower end repaved. We came back late one night and it has been raining. I got stuck at the hairpin turn and started spinning. If I had not had someone with me to guide and an all wheel drive car with new tires, I might not have made it up. Scary and stressful. Also, consider letting your guests use the garage. I am pretty sure both a bear and a raccoon explored my cat and put some scratches on it. I had no food in it which is probably why they left without further damage. However, the price was right, cabin is really nice inside, and the owner called me when I texted about the wifi code.
The cabin was wonderful and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.. The driveway could be a little bit better, but when youâre in the mountains, it is what it is. I would highly recommend staying here!
The owner required me to sign a separate agreement above and beyond what VRBO does and that is the first time I've dealt with that. I almost forgot to do so (over PDF) and had to do it the night before we were leaving for our trip. I was a little worried i would not get the access code in time, but i did. Then i had to hunt for the password for the wifi. Apparently previous guests have abused the system and changed the wifi password. Weird, but whatever. The owner was nice about it, it was just a little more hassle than I'm used to. The driveway is very steep and really hard to maneuver at the top. By the time we left i finally had it down to a science but that alone would make me not stay there again. The house was really nice and comfortable. The hot tub was great. The towels are on the small side so might want to pack your own but they were clean and soft. The beds were comfortable for the most part, but the bunks likely need new mattresses or better support. It's about 20-30 minutes from all of the things. I'm used to that as we live in the rural areas of virginia. All in all, we had a great time, but I'll venture into a different cabin next time to avoid the driveway.
We had a great stay. More then enough room for 6 adults. Easy location to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and The Great Smoky Mountains. Less then 5 minutes away from a grocery store yet so private! EXCELLENT price for this area.
