À propos de cet hébergement

Absolument magnifique propriété sur une falaise surplombant le lac Michigan. Trois chambres, deux salles de bains, maison de style ranch sur près de 3 hectares de belle propriété. Il y a des escaliers vers les 200 pieds de plage privée, environ 220, mais ils ne sont pas très raides. Les escaliers sont partagés avec notre autre maison familiale sur la propriété au nord. Il y a des tables, des chaises et des parasols sur la plage pour les clients. Il y a une terrasse avec des meubles et un gril, un foyer dans la cour, un hamac et des endroits pour s'asseoir sur le bord de la falaise. Venez vous détendre et admirer les plus beaux couchers de soleil, un ciel étoilé et tout ce que la nature peut créer.

The views of Lake Michigan are incredible. The stairs can be challenging but the privacy is great. We enjoyed our stay.

Pure Relaxation

Had a great girls trip here.Views were amazing, property was spacious and had room for everything. Close to downtown St Joseph’s making it convenient to shop. Would definitely return for another trip.

Amazing Property

Beautiful sunsets, beach access, and 10 minutes from grocery stores and downtown St Joseph and less than 30 minutes to South Haven. It's the perfect spot to access everything the area has to offer! House was clean, description accurate. Second time visiting and looking forward to coming back!

Awesome Family getaway.

Wonderful Property. Family and extended family getaway. Relaxing mornings drinking coffee, tea and reading on the bluff. Afternoons sunning and swimming at the beach 200 feet below. Evenings grilling, and sing-alongs by the fire pit. LOVE IT!!! You won't be disappointed.

Easy and Relaxed

This property is as advertised. It is an extremely comfortable house which has been well cared for and was clean as could be when we arrived. Everything you might need is there and the layout is great. The view is terrific and the deck is the perfect for reading, napping, having a meal or snacking. You name it. The beach is very pretty and quiet. Yes the steps are a haul (up) but take your time. What’s the rush? The owner is extremely responsive and caring about the guests having a nice stay. 5 Stars!

Great location, stairs were a little rough on the legs but knew tgere were 200 of them before rental

Great location, supplies etc kinda a replenish what you use system, firewood available down the road, hammock was used daily by our adult kids, didn't use the grill as we brought food ready to go so we all could enjoy our long weekend vacay. Beds were cozy. Thanks for the great stay!

Great place on lovely property

Everything is as described in the listing, except that the lake view is even more spectacular. We visited on a cold and rainy November weekend, so enjoying the beach was not an option, but the view over the lake is to die for, and having the beach access must be fantastic during the summer. Very nice and comfortable house and great communication from owner. Highly recommend!

Beautiful beachfront!

House and property accurate with description and previous reviews. There is a lot of road noise but the cottage is comfortable and relatively well-equipped. The beautiful property with expansive bluff views of the lake made this a very nice stay. The stairs are in great condition and navigable but it’s a workout! It’s worth it for the amount of shoreline you have almost to yourselves. This is a beautiful space. Very close to town with some great restaurants and other things to do if you can pull yourself away from the bluff and beach!

Enjoyed our time

We celebrated our daughter’s 37th birthday with her husband and our 2 granddaughters. We had nice weather. So fortunate after all the rain we have had. The beach was awesome. We were close to Sarret’s Nature Center which the girls really enjoyed. Perfect place for our family to gather.

Great Location

This location is great! So close to different shopping and wineries. Like the listing says, there are a lot of stairs to get to the beach. For someone with asthma, it was a struggle. However, the beach was gorgeous! House could use a deep clean, and for those used to having tvs in the bedroom, there aren’t any. Living room area was super comfortable.

Beautiful property, decent house, beware of owner and cleaning crew.

We stayed here for a friend's wedding and really enjoyed our stay. The property was great, and the beach access was perfect! Everything was as advertised and went well until check out. To start, our check-out time on VRBO was listed at 1 PM, and we were out by 12:20 PM. But I guess the owner didn't realize this, and we were actually supposed to be out by 12 PM. We could see the cleaning crew waiting for us to leave. After leaving, we got a text from the owner saying the cleaning crew said we had a dog with us and did not do some cleaning required at check out. We DID NOT have a dog with us, and we have no idea why they would tell her that. We did everything asked other than us running out of time to wash all of the towels. We made it halfway through them (take note they expect you to wash all the towels before leaving). Unfortunately, she was convinced we had a dog with us and became rude. We later received a charge for a broken deck rail. However, once she sent the pictures, it was clear that the rail was not installed properly, and thankfully we had a picture of the deck from when we got there showing the damage and were refunded the charge. If you plan to stay here, I recommend doing a walk-through of the property and house before you settle in and document anything that may be wrong. It may save you a charge later on. This would have been a 5-star review with plans to book again in the future, but unfortunately, the after check-in interaction with the owner turned us off. So we won't stay here again.

It was a wonderful getaway and we so enjoyed it!

Restful and refreshing in every way. As a family with five young children, the washer and dryer were a huge help. The beach was amazing. We loved it!

We had a great stay at this property. It was clean, has a great big yard, and the beach is incredible! Location is great too for quick trips to St Joseph. We did have a little issue with the AC unit but owner was very responsive and quick to remedy the situation. We had a great stay!

Michigan weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful weekend trip. Overall the home was clean and comfortable, it was just what we needed for a short weekend trip. The view of the lake from the property was amazing. The steps to and from the beach offer a great workout for sure. The property manager was responsive and very friendly . Upon arrival we had a slight issue accessing the property however, Jodie responded immediately and got us in with no additional issues during our stay. One issue that we had was the house was very musty which is understandable considering it is so close to the lake, but could be easily remedied by investing in charcoal odor bags (just a suggestion) . Jodie your family has a very nice piece of property. Thank you for sharing your home!

Stunning views from inside and outside. Property was great for our needs and was conveniently located 10 mins from the dock where our fishing trip began. Property manager, Jodie communicated quickly and was accessible when needed.

Beautiful views from the house! 222 steps down to the quiet beach area. Our teens loved exploring the beach and looking for driftwood. Owner was very attentive with quick responses to our questions which was much appreciated!

relaxing at its best

house was very comfortable and well thought out for everything you need away from home. lake views awesome and despite road in front if house it was very quiet. I recommend this cottage retreat highly. it’s the best!!!

I manage this property for my Mom. I have been managing our property next door, The Great Escape on Lake Michigan, and my Mom's other property, The Cute Corner Cottage, for the past 17 years.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We have family that live in the area and she asked them to let her know if a property on the lake came up for sale. When she drove in she fell in love with the property and the view. We even bought the house and property next door, The Great Escape on Lake Michigan #4013, as our family grew. My Mom has never advertised her house as a rental before, but since she is not able to spend as much time there as she would like, she thought it was time to share it with others who appreciate it.
