Lovely mountain home in the woods overlooking the mountains and close to Asheville. This was the second time our family stayed in this well appointed home.
Accommodations were excellent - clean, roomy, comfortable, well equipped, and the area was quite beautiful. We were very close to some businesses, shopping, restaurants. Very convenient!
The house was wonderful. It was immaculate. The kitchen was fantastic. It was located near things we wanted to do. It was delightful sitting on the porch. The only problem was the road to get in and the parking. We are in our 80s and found turning the car around on the steep gravel road with the cliff on one side very difficult. Fortunately, our granddaughter came to stay with us. We used her car. Unfortunately, she had to leave a day early so we left when she did.
We stayed two nights. Had never been to Asheville before. Location was perfect. With Mountain Viewâs comes mountain roads. Once you figure it out, it is not too bad. House was great for my wife, our 16 year old and me. Plenty of room to spread out. House was well finished, we did not cook, but everything you could need was there. Would stay here again.
The balcony is not safe. The parking is not good. Very steep and you need a 4x4.I have a therapy pet that Iâm legally allowed to bring and they did not allow the pet.The washing machine didnât work.Someone elseâs clothes were in the closet.
We loved staying here. It was secluded enough that we felt like we were in the woods, but close enough to get to town quickly! We even saw a bear! Would definitely go back.
We enjoyed our stay. The location close to the city, but tucked away in the mountains, allowed us to enjoy some time in nature with the attractions of Asheville a short drive away. The home was comfortable and well equipped for four adults. It seems like bear sightings are quite common and we ran across a bear on two separate occasions on the road a short distance from the house. If we ever come to the Asheville area again, we would be happy to stay here.
Best part is the view! So nice to sit on porch & relax! Had a good stay with everything we needed. Great location. Comfortable beds & bedding. Backing out of house a bit cumbersome like others have mentioned but made it work. Grant, the host, responds quickly & accompanied any needs we had. Would definitely stay here again!
The house is spacious and in a nice location. If youâre interested in a rustic, somewhat dated cabin feel, then this house is a good option. Personally, I prefer a more updated look and feel, along with inviting well- maintained decks. We chose this place because of the view but thereâs only a small space where the mountain range is viewable and itâs beside a very prominent dead tree.
We had a great time! The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed, and absolutely beautiful views of the mountains. As others have said, getting to the cabin and the parking is a little tricky, the parking spots are tight and steep. But I think thatâs to be expected with a cabin in the mountains. Itâs close to town but feels like youâre far away, itâs a very peaceful location.
Wonderful home in the mountains! Great views and close the everything we wanted to do and see. Wished for a hot tub that we saw on the website but we still loved our weekend. thank you
We live on the Outer Banks of NC and enjoy visiting Asheville several times a year and we always rent a home in the area for a week for our family. We've stayed in wonderful places but this haven in the mountains checks all the boxes! Nestled among the trees and the view is spectacular, close proximity to Asheville ($7 Uber ride), comfy beds, well equipped home, porches and wildlife! 2 bear sightings in the yard, a raccoon and beautiful birds! We will definitely come back!
This property was ideal because it is in the mountains, on a wooded lot that is very peaceful. Has year round mountain views, and downtown with all the restaurants, shops, breweries, is only minutes away.
Mountain setting only minutes to downtown Asheville and all the restaurants, shops, art galleries, breweries, and roof top bars. Biltmore is 5+ miles away and Uber is a $10 fee.
