Serenity

The rental property was the perfect size for us. It had such an awesome view of the property and water. The kitchen , bath living area had everything we needed for a relaxing time at the beach. We loved sitting on the balcony areas drinking coffee.

Another Awesome Stay!

Stunning views

Perfectly clean, comfortable with the most amazing views of the ocean. Loved the heated pool and fire pit. Holiday decorations at the hotel were lovely. We hope to be back soon!

Wonderful view

The view and balcony furniture made this place wonderful. So relaxing to hear the waves morning and night. Bed was comfortable. Only negative for us was that the couch is dirty and worn but we spent most of our time on the balcony so it didn’t bother us.

Overall, excellent stay.

Property was as listed. Great location with great amenities. There were just a couple minor cleaning issues it the management company was very responsive. I will definitely look to stay here again when in Galveston.

Beautiful Condo with amazing views

We love the San Luis and this condo did not disappoint. Being there over a busy 4th of July holiday it was nice not to have to leave the resort unless we just wanted to. We were even able to watch the fireworks from the Balcony and avoided the crowds. The balcony door is almost impossible to open and close, that really needs to be addressed. My only other negative comment would be the TEN digit code to access the condo was a pain in the rear, it took me until almost the end of our stay to memorize the code, cut one fingernail off to be able to get in. Over all great stay and would rent this unit again.

Pidgeon problems .

Nice overall condo. Check- in was a little confusing but manageable. Nice view and nice fresh appearance. The Pidgeon poop was a big distraction on an otherwise nice balcony. Did not appear that it had been cleaned in a while and it was deep and everywhere on the balconies. That is the first time I have stayed at the condos at San Luis and I would probably pick the hotel next trip unless I just had to have a kitchen. Overall the San Luis is a great property!

Do not rent Vacasa

Non existing property manager. They transfer calls to after hours who also does not respond. Corporate did not resolve issues including lacking towels, lack of security- construction crew entered multiple times with teen girls in room, as an “accident”. They should never had our room code. One key for four guests meant we could not get in and out of building- this alone ruined our trip because it is required to go to food, pool, garage entry, etc.

Many problems

We’ve stayed at this property many times with no problems. Not true this time. Mailbox with fob was already open, no fob. Code to the door did not work. Door to adjoining condo was not locked. Memo on counter stating electricity and water would be off for about 8 hours for maintenance. Would have rescheduled if had known this ahead of time. Memo stated elevator would still run on emergency power. Planned our day to accommodate this inconvenience. When returned to condo, elevator did not work and we had to walk up 15 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS! Then we felt trapped in condo because we didn’t want to tackle 15 flights of stairs again. Stephanie was very helpful tackling all these mishaps, but so much vacation time was wasted.

Uncomfortable beds. Great view.

We’re not the type of family that complains much but we had the worst sleep in this condo. I woke up with body and neck aches. The King Bed was very uncomfortable. We were provided only two pillows that were very flat. My husband and I woke up many times trying to find a comfortable position. My teens also were sleeping uncomfortably in the sofa bed. It’s broken and sinks when you lay on it specially the head part. The sheets on it were obviously used. Good thing we found a clean set in the closet and we replaced them ourselves. But there was no clean cover. My boys were cold at night. One of them had to use a beach towel as cover. About the cleanliness, there were some missed spots. Bottom of refrigerator was dirty, under the sofa bed was dirty, and in the shower there was trash under the chair, etc. The Keurig machine was broken so had to get coffee downstairs. Pots and pans don’t have lids. And we could hear the next door talking even on low, normal voice. These things are easy to fix but clearly overlooked and was making our stay not great. We do love the view.

Perfect Condo; Great trip

We booked a trip about 2-3 weeks out and found this amazing condo. The trip was the first week in November, so there was a bit of chilly weather. First of all, we had great contact with the owner, they even texted me the day of and let me know the condo was ready an hour early in case we were in town and ready to check in. Instructions were great, no problems getting key fob for garage parking with marked space. Instructions for getting into the room were perfect as well, no issues at all getting parked and into the room. When you first walk in, you have this great view of the ocean. It was just my wife and I, so the size was just perfect. We loved the two balconies, especially the one by the living room with the rockers. View overlooks the resort and Seawall Blvd and beach and ocean. Condo grounds are awesome. Very pretty hotel/condo. Nice restaurants on premises, we didn't try them though, just Starbucks. There are a few stores also, we did some shopping there. The pool was heated, which was really nice since it was a little chilly outside. The hot tub was amazing, you can see the beach while you're in there. There is a nice fire pit with lounge chairs around that also overlooks the beach. In the pool, there is also a swim-up bar that you can order food from as well and watch sports on their tv's. Resort is in a great place, plenty to do around there. We don't have anything negative to say about our stay other than we should have stayed longer. We will definitely be back, but probably bring the rest of the family and stay longer next time. Highly recommend!!!

Inconvenient check-in, horrible bed, nice view

The Good: This is a cute, updated condo. Very nicely decorated with new paint, furniture and floors. Very clean and a great double balcony view of ocean. Air conditioner works well too. The kitchen and laundry room are well set-up. The Bad: I had to drive five miles away from the condo to get the key for check-in. When I got there the lockbox code was wrong so I had to call Vacasa and wait about 30 minutes before the operations manager got there. She was very helpful and apologetic, but it was just a bad experience to start off my vacation. The key situation further complicated things since there are multiple versions of this unit. Wasn't really sure which one I had rented since my email confirmation had one listed and my online reservation had the other. We ended up going to both units trying the key code until one worked, which could be really dangerous. The Ugly: I have never slept on so hard of a mattress, ever, in my life. It felt like someone had built a box out of wood, then covered it in foam. The sleeper sofa was no better; it was softer, yet thin which made the bars protrude through the mattress. I would not recommend anyone to rent this if you value getting a good nights rest.

Great view and location

If you want to be close to it all this is the place. The view overlooking the beach was breathtaking.

Galveston

Great location on the 15th floor offered wonderful views of the Gulf. Unit was comfortable but I struggled to try to understand the thermostat. GThe kitchen was sparsely furnished with food. VRBO should have standards on what units have for guests. We had no idea that a Keurig was in the unitn and the owner had no pods to start us off. Things like a cooking oil, a little sugar, flour, etc. should be required in all units. Not everybody microwaves all of their meals. I did not appreciate the inflexibility6 of the check in time. When you pay over $200/night you like to check in early. The owner of this unit had a strict 4PM check in. A silly 10 digit entry code had to be put in every time.
