I'm Simonetta Ruju and I created Alguerhome in 2019 after a few years of tourist hospitality experience in Alghero in the "house on the Ramparts", which belonged to my family. I come from the world of music management and marketing and have lived both in Italy and abroad, but I have chosen to work for my land and to go back to being in contact with the sea of ââthe island where I grew up.
I was born in Sardinia in the 70s and today I live between Rome and Alghero. I love to travel and for this reason I wanted to share this passion with all those who want to know this corner of paradise, so autonomous and particular, steeped in Sardinian and Catalan culture. Alghero, in addition to being a tourist city, is a university town, where many Sardinians live and work, its heart is the historic center, animated by ancient and elegant shops, the coral trade and typical restaurants.
Starting from Casa Blu or "house on the Ramparts", I decided to continue the family tradition by investing in two typical studios in the historic center: thus Casa Turchese and Casa Verde were born. On my website you can find the apartment that best fits you but also what to see and do in Alghero and its surroundings, summer activities or cultural events and initiatives throughout the year.
