Venez à Knob View Retreat et profitez de vacances relaxantes dans cette belle maison avec vue sur chaque fenêtre. La maison dispose de 3 chambres à coucher, chacune avec salle de bain privée et placard, parfait pour la famille élargie ou les couples qui aiment passer leurs vacances ensemble. Deux des suites ont un accès direct à un porche couvert pour profiter de l'air et des vues rafraîchissantes de la montagne et de ses magnifiques couchers de soleil. Il y a aussi un grand bain à remous sur la terrasse avec vue sur la montagne. Le bain à remous est entretenu deux fois par semaine par les spécialistes Hot Springs & Spa de Hot Springs.

La maison est située dans les montagnes Blue Ridge à une altitude de 2900 pieds dans une petite communauté de montagne contenant seulement 7 maisons sur 70 acres. La vie privée abonde et la faune aussi.

Profitez d'un séjour relaxant sur le porche ou conduisez à seulement 20 kilomètres du centre-ville d'Asheville et profitez des boutiques et des restaurants du «Paris du Sud». La ville de Black Mountain est à seulement 9 miles dans l'autre direction. Passez une journée au domaine de Biltmore (13 miles) ou faites de la randonnée sur l'un des kilomètres de sentiers à quelques minutes. Voulez-vous conduire le Blue Ridge Parkway? Une entrée est à seulement 10 minutes.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

This is a great secluded spot with wonderful mountain views. Home is in excellent condition and very comfortable. Great outdoor areas for relaxing and taking in the views.

Girls weekend get away

We had a great time on our girls weekend! We really enjoyed the hot tub and the views are beautiful! We went to Asheville for the day and it was a short drive, 20 minutes or so. The house was very clean and had everything we needed.

Perfect base for family hiking getaway

One of the nicest rentals we’ve had, ever. Property was in great condition, private, beautiful views, and convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Family friendly too - daughter enjoyed a nearby park w/ playground and the wildlife center. The ping pong table was a nightly routine. Host was a great communicator.

Spectacular Views and So Peaceful

No need to leave the house. The home amenities can keep you happy for your entire stay. We enjoyed cooking, playing ping pong, board games and the hot tub with its own panoramic view of the mountains. It was a wonderful opportunity to make special memories with our family. The house was very clean and well organized.

This home is well cared for and wonderfully designed. Owner has gone above and beyond in his attention to detail. I've never been in a rental property so well and thoughtfully supplied. There was even flashlights beside each bed. The surroundings are breathtaking. This home is on my list as a place to return to again.

Dream Home!

This house is a dream! This was a girls trip to celebrate a 60th birthday and we could not have been happier. It has everything that you could possibly need. The kitchen is so well stocked and organized. So many amenities, very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect and the view from the deck is unbelievable. We came back to the home each evening to watch the sunset and use the hot tub while enjoying a glass of wine. Our host Steve was amazing! He was quick to respond to questions and all of his recommendations were spot on! We highly recommend this home!

Perfect mountain home

Knobview Retreat is the nicest home we have ever rented. It is not only beautiful and spotlessly clean with amazing views, the hosts have provided so many little comforts like good bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, a grill, hot tub, games, a full spice cupboard, laundry room…I could go on and on. Communication with Steve was outstanding. The photos just don’t do this home justice, it is so lovely and light filled. We are glad we brought our 4Runner to navigate the road to the house, it is very steep but we mastered it and even saw the neighborhood bear a few times. This was a wonderful place to call home during our time in western NC.

Christmas Getaway

The property was everything listed by the website. The pictures did the views of the mountaineers no justice...they were amazing and breathe taking. The home was very clean and the Christmas decor made this occasion very special. Steve answered all my questions via text or email and was very accomodating. The only challenge was the switch back road to get the home. I wouldn't want to drive that road in the snow. We were there Dec 12th for 4 days and thank goodness we had good weather. Other than that is what just a short drive to Ashville and the Biltimore. We really enjoyed our stay !

Breathtaking, Immersive Mountain Views with All En-suites

Our Super Hosts’ meticulous attention to detail meant more kitchen, bath, deck (hot tub, lots of seating), and whole house amenities than any other property where we have stayed. Heaven seems to touch earth right off the balconies of this house, very high in the mountains and very orivate. Local bear sightings, and some outside the house, but we safely kept our distance and enjoyed them. We stayed here in Swannanoa and made the short drive to Asheville, Black Mountain, and stops along the Blue Ridge Parkway. An all-wheel drive vehicle is very helpful to navigate the stone-covered drive up this gorgeous mountain. We stayed here 6 years ago and traveled over 850 miles to return— the views are THAT GOOD! Unique that all 3 bedrooms (one downstairs) have their own en suite. A rare gem of a property. Enjoy!

Perfect Family Vacation

We had the pleasure of staying at Steve and Henrietta's beautiful home with our 2 adult daughters + 1 daughter's boyfriend. What a terrific trip! There is simply no way that photographs can capture the serenity and beauty of this home. The three bedrooms with attached baths were generously sized and the entire home was immaculately clean. Everything that we needed (and more!) was readily available. Steve is a fabulous owner who communicated very well. We followed his advice for dining and hiking and had a wonderful time. My husband and I would love to return and see the views from the home for the other 3 seasons. It's truly a magical place. Favorite memories from the home are sitting on the deck or in the hot tub, having drinks and chatting. We did see one of the resident bears a few times, which was very exciting. Thank you Steve and Henrietta - your hospitality is so appreciated!

Quick trip away with some friends. Very nice home , great views. Visited Biltmore and had some good meals . Nice hot tub and loved sitting on deck with morning coffee . Even a pair of bears this morning run through the property and over driveway . Definitely too short of trip .

Clean, Comfortable, and Great Location

We had a great stay here—everything was just as advertised. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and check-in was smooth and easy. The location was ideal—close to restaurants and walkable to downtown, but still quiet at night. The staff was friendly and responsive when we had a quick question about parking. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a relaxing and convenient place to stay.

Brewery weekend

As always the property was perfect for our base of operations. Perfect for 3 couples. Close enough to all breweries yet far enough out for quiet time in between brewery trips. The hot tub was great each evening after spending time around Asheville. The hosts were great as always.

Perfect Get-Away to the Mountains

This is the very best of the best place to unwind and relax or get moving with many places to see. The view from the house/deck is extraordinary and we didn’t want to leave. We did hike some mountain trails and spend some time appreciating Asheville downtown.The house host, Steve, was within immediate contact and made the house feel just like home with everything we needed. You must come see this! In awe!!

Everything you're reading about this home is true. Every room is well appointed. Quality linens on the beds and comfortable furniture in every room, including the deck. Thoughtful artwork and decor. The hosts have furnished this home as if for themselves, not "the rental house". The setting is breathtaking. If you're having difficulty deciding between this house and another one... pick this one.

This home is owned by Steve and Henrietta Holbrooks. We are native North Carolinians and have always held a deep love and appreciation for the Blue Ridge Mountains. We've hiked many of the area trails and never missed a chance to tour the Blue Ridge Parkway. We've had great times camping there with our children and other families, sharing adventures and making memories. Now, as 'empty nesters', we've taken up kayaking, traveling, and gaining an appreciation of the culture & history of the NC Mountains. We stayed in Knob View for the first time in August 2013 and fell in love with the home immediately. The long range views along with its serenity and tranquility were so unique. We also have friends who stayed with us who, after experiencing the area, purchased land and built a vacation home nearby (VRBO #865183).

Asheville has always been one of our favorite destinations. The area offers something for everyone. There's a vibrant arts culture with artisans and performers that bring the downtown to life after dark. It has beautiful architecture, fabulous shops, restaurants, and a booming craft beer industry. For those who prefer smaller towns, Black Mountain and Weaverville are popular destinations nearby. There's the Biltmore House, Gardens, and Winery which are a must see. Those who enjoy watersports will find a canoe/kayak outfitter just 20 minutes away on the French Broad River. And of course, the natural beauty that surrounds you explains why The Blue Ridge Parkway has been the most visited 'park' in the US every year since 1949.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Knob View Retreat offers the perfect retreat following a day exploring the Asheville area. It's only 15 minutes from downtown but seems 'worlds away'. We enjoy the privacy and quiet, you can hear the birds chirping, the squirrels rustling through the leaves, and the wind blow. At dusk the sunsets over the mountain range are to die for. At night the crickets will sing you to sleep. And of course there are mountain views everywhere you look! Ahhhhh
