Dream Apartment
A fabulous apartment and most cordial host. Chocolates on our pillows! The pictures don't do it justice. Classic French doors, windows, floors & mouldings combined with stylish modern furnishings and the latest media, fully equipped kitchen & luxurious baths to create an ambiance and comfort that was beyond our expectations.
The views, both of the street and the inner courtyard, were beautiful and the neighbourhood was wonderful. Full of cafes and shops that seemed to offer a true Paris experience.10 minute walk to the Louvre, 4 minutes to the mall and the Metro and only a few blocks to the Seine and Pont Neuf. Eiffel Tower visible a few kilometres away.
It has Wifi, a vessel tub, two spacious glass showers, stackable washer and dryer, dishwasher and big screen TVs in every room. Even a small screen in the kitchen - but no microwave.
The toilet is in a separate "water closet", which I find much more sanitary, but some people think odd. The elevator was only big enough for two people but we preferred the winding stairs. It was good for the luggage.
It was nice to have the windows open at night but people were out until 4 am on the weekend so it would have been more quiet were there air conditioning. They were doing restoration on the lane way and courtyard around the Fountain of the Innocents which we overlooked but once it is complete the location will be better than ever. They even had an Antique Market set up there on Saturday.
Starbucks is a block away in case you need a full size coffee. Everywhere else you get a shot of espresso.
I am mentioning these small things so that you are in no way disappointed when you book this fabulous apartment. It tastefully combines the best of both the old world and the new and we LOVED it!
Thank You!
PS: The owner added more seating.
Thank you very much lynda, it was a pleasure to welcome you in my apartment.
I’m really happy to hear that you spent a very nice stay in my apartment.
- I'll have the warn you but the oven is combined micro-wave, a notice is provided in the welcome book.
- unfortunaly in a lot of apartments in Paris, it is not allowed to put the air-conditioning, it’s why you find in the apartment 3 powerful fans.
- The area in the heart of Paris is lively and the apartment has windows triple glazing
I hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again soon.
Beautiful Apartment
The apartment was exactly as pictured, beautiful and very clean and its location could not have been better as we were within walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame, shopping areas etc. The attention to detail was unparalleled. This was truly a luxury rental. The beds were very comfortable with nice quality linens. We loved the high end appliances, televisions and Bang & Olufsen speakers and especially the built-in espresso machine (as an aside, we found the pods for the Nespresso machine could be purchased at the BHV/Marais cheaper than the local Monop). We were disappointed with the fact that, although there are 2 beautifully appointed bathrooms, one with sink and shower, the other with sink, shower and tub, it was unclear from the description that there was only 1 toilet. Also, although the pictures were clear that a single couch provided seating for at most 3 people, we would have preferred to have comfortable seating for 4 people. While the acrylic chairs around the dining table were very attractive and comfortable enough for a meal, they were not comfortable for relaxing with a lovely French wine after a long day of sightseeing. The owners were also very quick to respond when we had questions. Overall, we loved the apartment. We spent a wonderful week in Paris and would highly recommend the apartment.
Hello Lise,
Thank you so much for you comment.
I am very pleased to hear that you loved my apartment, and that you spent a very nice stay.
Thank you for your advise, I've added a comfy lounge armchair so 4 people can relax in the leaving room now.
Best regards,
Nicolas
The best - a modern chic beauty with luxurious beds and bedding
This apartment is absolute perfection. It is exactly like the pictures. Large, bright and spacious, super clean and luxurious, best location with endless cafes and bistros at your feet, wonderful views, overlooking a hopping pedestrian area yet super quiet. No building staring back at you.. An easy walk to anywhere and everywhere. Heavenly beds, fluffy duvets, large showers, thick fluffy towels, fluffy bathrobes, brand new hotel slippers, shampoos and shower gel, high powered blow dryers. Ultra modern and fabulous lighting. This apartment has my highest recommendation. We loved waking up here after sleeping in absolute peaceful luxury.
Super stylish and great location
We had a wonderful short break at this apartment. It’s super central - only one stop on the RER from Gare du Nord, very close to the Pompidou, Les Halles, the Marais and the Rue Montorgueil. The apartment itself is exactly like the photos - stylish and immaculate. Lovely touches of wine, chocolate and toiletries and cold water. Malika the housekeeper was incredibly friendly and sweet - nothing is too much trouble and check-in and check-out were hassle free. Communication was excellent. There is a lift which is a relief with bags upto the third floor - the view is wonderful. Would recommend local Le Petit Bouillon Pharamond for great value traditional French bistro fare in a buzzy square, the cafes of the Rue Montorgueil for people watching, the little artisan shops in the Passage du Grand Cerf and the Picasso museum.
Stylish, comfortable, perfectly located apartment
This place was so great! Everything is really clean and all the fixtures/appliances are new and up-to-date. The rooms are a good size and the apartment is sunlit with stunning views, especially at sunset. It is really conveniently located to tons of excellent bars, restaurants, cafes, etc. And the apartment manager was so friendly and helpful and always responded to my texts within minutes. She even bought stuffed bunnies for my two little girls, which they toted all over Paris! Only drawback is that there is only 1 toilet and limited closet space but we managed. I would highly recommend this place!
Gorgeous apartment
Beautiful apartment in amazing location (close to metro, restaurants, etc.). Apartment might not be good for small children - many glass things which could be easily broken. The appliances are a bit complex - very high tech which is good for some/a bit of an investment in time to figure out for others. Fantastic communication with the owner/manager - no issues. We had a wonderful time!
