Charmant chalet Tahoe City - 6 personnes - Location de ski d'hiver disponible

Niché dans les bois à deux pas du lac se trouve notre cabine de 3 chambres et 2 salles de bain située à 1 mile à l'est de Tahoe City en direction de Incline Village dans le quartier de Lake Forest. Le cadre est à côté du lac et à côté de sentiers de ski de fond, de randonnée et de vélo au printemps / été. Avec un accès facile à toutes les stations de ski de la Côte-Nord en hiver et des équipements au bord du lac en été, c'est un emplacement central idéal pour tous vos besoins de vacances.

La cabine est un A-Frame accueillant et confortable qui peut facilement accueillir 6 personnes dans 3 chambres doubles. La cour est complètement fermée et nous acceptons les animaux! L'intérieur et le salon contiennent un canapé pleine grandeur et une causeuse pour les plus petits si nécessaire et un poêle à bois qui chauffe la maison entièrement. La cuisine rétro est ouverte sur le salon et c'est un plaisir de cuisiner pendant que vous conversez avec vos invités. La promenade de 2 minutes sur un chemin tranquille à l'arrière de la plage au printemps et en été est un délice!

Les clients ont un accès complet à toutes les chambres de la maison et de la cour. La confidentialité est une clé pour nos clients et nous ne les contacterons pas sauf avis contraire.

We really enjoyed our stay. This was our second time staying here. The first time was in the winter. It was even better in the summer! It was the perfect home for our family and two dogs. Loved that the home is fully fenced and just a short walk down the path to a dog friendly beach. Beds were comfortable.

We loved staying at this cabin! The house was always warm and the plowing services kept the roads and parking area nice and clean. The back yard has access to a trail that leads to the beach which was an added bonus!

Cute cabin, great location!

The place was clean, very conveniently located both near Tahoe City, ski resorts and right by the water - the trail behind the house to the water is nice and dog friendly. There are stairs that go up without side railing, if you travel with toddler be mindful of watching the kiddo or consider bringing a baby gate.

Great experience

We really enjoyed our stay at this Lake Forest home. It was perfect for our little family of 3 and two small dogs. The home was very clean and well equipped. The location of this home is perfect with proximity to town and the lake. I’d love to go back when there’s less snow so we can actually utilize the trail leading to the lake! Thank you for a wonderful stay and we’re hoping to be back!

Great location

The place is in a good location with easy access to the lake. The beds were comfy but only one was maybe a queen— the others are double.Generally the bathrooms and kitchen were clean, but the carpets in the living area are heavily stained, and there’s an odor in the house. I’m surprised that the carpets are still there given how stained they are. It’s gross.When we arrived, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. Not a big deal — we ran it and unloaded. Just not a great way to start our trip.The rubber rim in the washing machine is also moldy and smells.Some simple upgrades would make this place closer to a 5-star. Only the location saves it for us.

We value this feedback and sincerely apologize that our rare policy to allow our guests to travel with their lovely four-legged family members means there is more traffic at our cabin. We just had professional rug cleaners in, so were quite surprised by persistent issues. I personally came and addressed all the problems you referenced in the review and spoke to our cleaners about your other issues—thank you and apologies again! The cabin is our dream home, and we always hope guests are able to love it as much as we do. As for bed sizes: we clearly mark on the site which two rooms contain double beds and which one contains a queen and recently changed out all mattresses.

Fabulous!

We're becoming regular annual visitors to Jerry's place. The location's ideal for the activities we enjoy (dog friendly beach out the back door, bike path out the front) and the fenced property is perfect for a playful pup. There are always fresh linens, towels (including beach), blankets, soap, and shampoo, and the location is peaceful and quiet for a good night of sleep. The only issue I have isn't with the accommodation, but with VRBO's unreasonably high fees. Otherwise, this is a fabulous place to stay, check-in/out is easy, and communication is good.

Well stocked with all of your essentials. Cabin organized. Sofa and bed comfortable and two bathrooms a plus. The fenced yard and close access to the lake was the reason for choosing this cabin. Our dog enjoyed checking out the yard. Nice patio to sit under the trees.Great bike/walkway to Tahoe City. Good places to eat. Carpet should be replaced with tile, many stains from previous tenets. Otherwise, a great place to stay.

MARVELOUS COTTAGE

Having recently had spinal surgery, hubby took me away to recuperate. Couldn't have had a better cottage in the woods. We stayed 10 days & never went out to eat. Terrific kitchen, well stocked with everything you could possibly need & more. Extremely comfy beds, washer & dryer a definite plus. Great sofas (i spent a lot of time on them!) and the TV was fantastic, good cable. Wonderful location, close to Safeway, cute coffee place down the street, safe neighborhood & restaurants (if you so choose). The best is the really close dog & people park on the lake. Beyond lovely, my favorite part. Nice fenced, secure yard for our dog. He was happy too! Easy check in & super rapid response from owner. Highly recommend.

Wonderful accommodation!

This was my second stay at Jerry's place and the location is perfect. Off the main road, quiet and walkable neighborhood with a dog-friendly beach out the back door and bike path access out the front. Jerry hasn't overlooked anything you might need including plenty of towels and linens. Understanding that dogs join their owners here, my only negative comment would be the urine stains on the carpet and the smell of urine - not overpowering and nothing I don't think a professional deep cleaning couldn't address. Coming at the end of summer after lots of use is probably a factor as well. Jerry is prompt to respond if there's a question or issue. Looking forward to returning again!

Perfect location

The location is perfect. Loved how close it is to town while still away from the crowds. Loved the short backyard trail directly to the beach. The yard is completely enclosed for privacy and for the dogs to run free. However, there's no lock for the front or back fence. While we were there, people we weren't expecting let themselves in on 3 occasions. This would've been a problem if our dogs were free in the yard at the time. The yard itself is beautifully maintained, but there's lots of ants and mosquitoes so we didn't use the yard much. Since it was only my fiance, me, and our 2 dogs, we didn't use the second floor. Everything we needed was downstairs. There's no AC unit, just heating, but even though we rented during summer, the place was never hot. Other reviews mentioned a stained carpet and an odor. Yes, it's definitely there. The hosts provided candles and odor absorbers, but you can definitely tell dogs have peed inside. The previous renters filled up the outside trash bin. We were told that we had to wait until trash collection day before we could use it. And since there's bears in the area, we had to keep our trash in the house with us. It didn't help with the odor, but this was out of the host's control. That being said, I'd still consider booking here again.

Perfect accommodations and excellent location!

This home is exactly as described and you can’t beat a dog friendly beach out the back door and the bike path out the front. Plenty of extras like pillows, blankets, towels, soap, and shampoo and conditioner. Having a washer and dryer is a plus. Check-in and out was a breeze and when I needed to communicate with Jerry, he was prompt and accommodating. My dog and I had a perfect time and I plan to return!

Better Cleaning & Stocking will make it a 5

The communication with Jerry was prompt & friendly. I locked myself out & he responded within minutes. I was back in within minutes. The house is very cute and for the most part true to the listing. Some room for improvement: 1) it's a dog rental as well & we did bring our dogs. I cleaned up after my dogs. Unfortunately, other tenants who were before me did not. Also, the cleaning services didn't either. Makes playing in the snow, not as fun within the property. 2) it has a wonderful fenced-in backyard but unfortunately, the main shovel was buried under a block of ice. A previous tenant broke the other shovel into pieces (plastic) so there was nothing to clear doorways from snow or pick up dog poop (I improvised). 3) the beds are small for two standard adults. I'd guess all 3 beds were Fulls at best. 4) unfortunately cleaning services didn't finish the laundry from the previous tenants so there was a large pile of sheets & blankets still pending wash in the washroom. There was also a load in the dryer which kept erroring out the cycle. It was hard to reach the dials given it was stacked. There was no step stool to reach the controls. 5) wonderful kitchen, dishwasher, & range. I cooked all the meals at home. Well stocked but make sure to bring tinfoil & ziplock just in case. 6) no DVD player & limited tv controls... a must at night with kids. I must have misread the listing because I brought movies with us to watch thinking there was a DVD player. 7) loved their leather couches, especially in a dog rental. This makes for a cleaner experience. 8) the bathrooms were not properly stocked. Similar to a hotel when you check-in, you expect a refreshed roll of everything. Restocked essentials. They did have supplies on hand in the washroom but I had to restock myself. Not a major issue but one has to question how well cleaning services really put in effort given some basics are not complete. 9) the central heating system was excellent. Unfortunately, the woodburning stove had a broken seal on the door so we were not able to use this item of the house. 10) the neighborhood is a mix of business and residential. We attending in a slight off season so it was very very quiet in the neighborhood, at the lake & snow park. It was a quick walk to the lake with the dogs. This is a very cute rental & with some cleaning services upgrades & a few repairs of the house, this could be a 5 star.

Amazing property!

What an absolute gem! We arrive for a New Years get away & I promised my kid snow… and boy was there snow 😂. The driveway & walkway we’re shoveled so getting into the house was so easy! The house was clean and is just an absolute gem! The kitchen. Was fully stocked (coffee maker, toaster, microwave - you name it!) and even kitchen spices & a few extras. Games and tv access as well (great for a late night movie to settle down with!) My son & I brought his best friend & his mom to join us as well as our little pup. Jerry was a great host and made our trip just the absolute best! We found a great little hill to use for sledding just down the street. I look forward to coming back & seeing the property during the summer time as it is so close to the lake! Then fully enclosed yard is perfect for pups as well!

Peaceful escape

The home is very well situated close to the beach, just a five minute walk though a fantastic scenery. Backyard perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach. Kitchen stocked with enough utensils and cooking items that made cooking a breeze. Home had more than enough towels and shampoo and body wash for our entire stay. Would definitely stay here again in the future

Great for dogs and good proximity to everything

We had a great time at Lake Tahoe, and it was great to have a home with a fenced yard for the dogs. The kitchen is well stocked, and there were plenty of supplies. The carpenter ants in the kitchen were gross, and the beds are doubles not queens. This was hard for tall adults and couples, and I hope they upgrade them to queen or kings with good quality mattresses. There were a few broken items and we wished there were chairs in the backyard for more people. Thankfully we brought some of our own. It's next to a boat rental place so if noise early in the am and the smell of gas in the evening bothers you then this isn't the right place. I know the above sounds negative but overall we were very happy there.

Great location, cute place great yard.

We have stayed at quite a few vacation rentals and this is a wonderful little place. Loved the location and we walked into town for ice cream. The yard is fully fenced and dog safe- large enough for a whole group, numerous tables and plenty of shade. The walk to the lake is honestly like 2 minutes and the beach is awesome this year. Kitchen is well stocked and easy to use. So many amenities , laundry worked great, plenty of body wash and soft towels. Beds are only doubles so that took a little getting used to but plenty of blankets and pillows. This is the first vacation rebtal ever to have fans!!!! And if you’re worried about the heat wave dont- it got up to high 80’s and the house inside remained very cool! Great communication with owner and easy check in check out. Couldn’t have been happier for a little birthday get away.
