Bill and Kerry were great. Very responsive to any concerns and called to make sure all was good. We loved our family vacation and would stay here again!
Enjoyed playing cards, reading, and just chatting. Brought our bikes and went for a ride. Beds are comfortable. I have stayed many times and it never gets old.
First time we rented on the lake side of Big Bear Blvd. Your place had such a great vibe with that rustic, cabin-like feeling. Very quiet and relaxing. Great ambience, plenty of room for everyone. thanks.
House is very nice and open. Lots of little details here and there. The game room is a lot of fun.
Beds are comfy, couches are comfy, they have all the normal tv subscriptions.
Very close to everything.
A major plus for me was that the back yard is fully fenced in!
This is an awesome home! Lots of space, games, jacuzzi, etc. etc. We were thoroughly impressed with how great this home was. All of our guests were equally impressed. Beds are super comfy, everything is updated and modern, beautifully designed home with lovely decorations. Will rent it again if staying in Big Bear! Thanks Bill & Kerry!
This home had everything we needed. Loved that we could spread out and not be on top of each other. The game room was amazing. The kitchen is old school but had all the gadgets. The beds were super comfortable. Being short I had a hard time climbing into the master bed. The backyard was wonderful and I look forward to coming back in the summer. Communication with the owner was spot-on. Thank you for our stay!
This place was perfect in every way. It is big - lots of space. We used the game room and hot tub every night. The bedrooms and bathrooms were remodeled with a cabin decor and it was luxurious - so much attention to detail. Another plus was the furniture in the living and family rooms - so comfy. It was cozy just sinking in and relaxing. It was our first trip to Big Bear Lake and we hiked and did some skiing. We are now thinking a summer trip might be good. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
I recently was in charge of planning a skiing trip for about 10 friends and myself. I looked on line for a long time before I landed on this one. It turned out to be a perfect fit. It had plenty of space and beds. And it was only a couple miles from either ski resort. The pool table, flat screen TVâs and the Jacuzzi didn't hurt either. I was a big hit with the rest of my group. Also, Kerry was very personable and helpful. I definitely recommend it to all different groups.
6/10 Satisfaisant

Couldnât use hot tub
This was my second time renting this property because the first time it was so great. The house itself is nice, spacious, has a fenced yard, and good location.
However, this time the hot tub was VERY dirty and there were beer cans around the yard when we arrived.
We are not people to usually leave a review so we contacted the owner to let them know directly(with photos) and they never got back to us.
The house is located just around the corner from a swim beach and park. It is great for the entire family. I especially liked sitting outside on the patio and having dinner while watching the stars. It is very clean, lots of windows to enjoy the beautiful trees. It is very quiet and relaxing. There is a game room for all to enjoy including a little radio you can play a CD in. Lots of movies, Wii, and a pool table. The hot tub was perfect for early morning dips and watching the stars at night. Most importantly the beds were comfortable and the couch was great for relaxing and chatting with your family. When we called with questions regarding the place, the owner got right back to us quickly. we are planning on returning next year. My wife and I talked about possibly making this a tradition for years to come. It is a must do.
Our family of 4 stayed at this home for two nights. We would definitely stay here again. The neighborhood, Eagle Point, is one of the nicest we've stayed in - the lake is nearby and it's a great place to go on walks, plus The Village, Snow Summit, and the grocery stores (Vons and Stater Brothers) are a short 5 minute drive away. Two families could easily stay in this house - the room with bunks could sleep 5 kids and there's still two more rooms for the parents to enjoy. The master bed, which is the one I used, was very comfortable. We loved the game room with air hockey, pool table, and foosball - we spent hours in this room with our teenage kids. The livingroom had a large, comfy sectional couch with plenty of seating for everyone. Plus with both a family room and den, there's plenty of space. The master bedroom and bathroom are very large - huge shower, too! The fenced in yard is perfect for families with pets! Check-in process was super easy since we didn't have to go to a rental office - just enter the code on the front door and you're in. No hassle. I didn't give it 4-stars only because it could use a little TLC - you can tell it's a popular rental, as the carpet is a bit worn, the kitchen is a bit dated, and the kitchen items are well-used - but that didn't affect our stay and we loved that they allowed pets.
DO NOT RECOMMEND! Filthy, Not as Advertised, Neglected House...
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS RENTAL NIGHTMARE. The rental personnel arrived 20 minutes late (after scheduled 4p check in time). The entire house was absolutely filthy, carpets had food crumbs, table tops/ counters were dirty with food & drink spills. The powder bathroom toilet was flooded upon arrival. I spent 2.5 hrs cleaning the house before my family was able to enter. The "game room" equipment was a huge disaster all items are non-functional. Not a single item was in working condition: missing pucks, missing balls, giant holes in air hockey and pool table, broken pool sticks. Not to mention popped balloons and confetti throughout the interior and exterior of house. The toy closet was disgusting, it had used Q-tip swabs, broken wood trim with sharp rusted tacks and a used metal nail file. They had a sign: MUST FOLLOW THE RULES "ONLY PLAY WITH ONE ITEM/ GAME AT A TIME", "NO PARTIES". Yet the house was littered with party trash. The entire house had a two page "DO NOT DO THIS- NOT ALLOWED" signs posted everywhere and had cameras on the property, so there was no privacy. They could watch you and your family throughout your stay. I emailed the property owners right away with pictures about the poor conditions and they simply stated "sorry, we are on vacation, sorry your unsatisfied". Since this is a non-refundable rental we had no choice but to stay. I then emailed a second time upon check out, with pictures of how clean and tidy we left the property asking for a refund of the cleaning fee, since the house was unacceptably filthy upon our arrival. They make you strip all the bedding/ bath linens and wash them or they charge you. It was quite obvious there is no cleaning services, they have the renters do it and pay for it. We finally got a reply "we are away on a business trip, and will get back to you later in the week". We yet to hear back... If I could post the pictures of what the house really looks like, I would. These are careless owners out to make a buck, stay away from this property.
Iâll start by saying the last review is completely inaccurate! This is a beautiful home and Bill is great to work with.
Weâve rented homes all over Big Bear and this was by far our favorite neighborhood. Itâs absolutely gorgeous and the lake (plus a dog park, baseball field, and playground) is just a short walk away.
The game room was a hit with our two sons and we all loved the jacuzzi. The fully fenced in backyard was great for our dog who loved lounging in the sun, running around and chasing the squirrels.
The master bedroom and bathroom were nicely updated and all of the bedrooms were well appointed and had comfortable beds.
The kitchen contains everything you could possibly need and everything was in working order.
The large dining table is perfect for big families or groups and there is plenty of seating between the two living rooms.
For full disclosureâs sake, there seemed to be a sewage issue which caused the restroom on the bottom floor to stop working partway through our trip but the owner was very apologetic and communicative, and I'm sure it's been resolved.
All in all, this was a great home and we would absolutely stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay in Big Bear, and having a home a way from home was great! This home has lotâs of things to enjoy: pool table, foosball, air hockey (though the top was a little cracked and the air didnât work great, but we still had fun with it), jacuzzi (clean and comfortable), comfortable furniture in the living areas, large screen TVâs with Netflix, Hulu, etc for movies and shows. The landlord was great at responding to my questions, and seemed very nice. The only reasons I donât give it 5 stars is: we found some of the beds to be very hard (the master king was comfy, but the beds in the other rooms were too hard, maybe mattress toppers would help), the rock flooring in the bathrooms was very painful to walk on without shoes (looked nice though), and we had to take our own trash to the trash center (with a full car at check out, it was a tight squeeze to fit the bag of trash & recycling too).
This place is absolutely beautiful! The advertised pictures donât show the beauty of this place. My family enjoyed every room including the game room. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. There are plenty of blankets, towels, and we surprisingly found ski boards in the entry closet. The host responded promptly to questions. The home is located close to the lake and village. We also loved that the place is gated and dog friendly. I definitely recommend this place to families looking to enjoy family time in the mountains!
Proâs: Thereâs definitely tons of space in the house with 2 separate TV rooms and a spacious fenced in backyard, which was great for our dog. Thereâs also a hot tub which was very hot and clean. The game room was a hit with our kids and thereâs a closet in the den area with tons of books and small toys. The bed sheets were clean and the bathrooms were also clean, fully stocked and updated. The house was very well stocked with towels, blankets, pillows, kitchen appliances so didnât have to worry about bringing anything in.
Cons: The kitchen and carpets need some SERIOUS TLC. Thereâs no microwave in the kitchen (which we use a lot) and the oven had not been cleaned with TONS of food/crumbs along the bottom. The cabinets are extremely outdated and the counter tops had dirt imbedded in the grout as they were also quite old. The brown shaggy carpet hasnât been replaced in years as itâs tearing around the edges and gives off a âdirtyâ feeling. These types of things may not bother many people, but itâs something we immediately noticed.
Overall, the stay was comfortable with a great location.
The Nugent Getaway was the perfect spot for my friends and I who needed to get away from our hectic lives in the city. Billy and Kerry were super responsive and the entire trip went smoothly!
We are a family of 4 with a Great Dane Mix to keep us busy. We have a home in Laguna Beach, 2 homes in Big Bear Lake. We enjoy our time away from the hustle of our lives!
Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood and has lots of great activities and ways to relax. Our home welcomes young and old and creates a relaxing atmosphere for all. Lots of ways to stay busy in our home and in the Big Bear Lake area.
