Ce chalet de plain-pied, sur une propriété qui chevauche la frontière de Woodstock et Saugerties, a été construit à la main dans le style vernaculaire. Il est maintenant entièrement rénové avec une grande salle confortable avec foyer au gaz, salle à manger et deux chambres, chacune avec salle de bain. Détendez-vous sur un porche filtré, couvrant la façade de la maison, l'ouverture sur le patio, la piscine, et des vues dégagées et expansives. Dans la soirée, profitez des superbes couleurs du coucher de soleil sur les montagnes Hudson et Berkshire.

Another lovely stay

This was our second time staying at this lovely property. It was nice to see it in fall. The area is so close to everything in the Catskills that you want to see/do. The house is comfy and perfect for a couple or 3 or 4 adults. The property is stunning and there are several comfortable sitting areas. The screened in porch is invaluable in the summer. The view is gorgeous. We will definitely stay again. We love it!

Only one word needed…PERFECTION!!! It’s clean, quiet (but also just a few minutes from town) and has beautiful views. Jolene is an amazing host. Can’t ask for anything better than this!

GREAT

LOVED screened porch ( If you're sensitive to bug bites, use spray inside there too) marvelling at symphony of different peepers at night. Every so often a snake would make an appearance on the stone decks --- part of the experience of being on cliff rocks in the woods! Cottage is adorable, clean, comfy beds. Jolene is one of the best VRBO hosts ever!

Country Retreat - a beautiful stay

We loved our stay at the Country Retreat. The house was perfect for four of us. Everything was comfortable and functional. Note:There is no air conditioning in the house other than the two bedroom air conditioners. That worked out fine for us as the weather up there was lovely that weekend. The house is small enough that those air conditioners cooled the whole house when the bedroom doors were left open. The real star of this property is the outside. There are several areas with comfy seating to sit and look out over the valley. The view is spectacular. We relaxed and sat and looked out over everything. The screened in porch is wonderful and we loved sitting there having coffee and watching a rain storm. We were so happy that the weather was nice enough to enjoy the outside areas. Having the beautiful pool was a fantastic feature. This property really had everything we needed and more. It was a lovely long weekend. The drive to Bethel and Woodstock is easy and scenic. We’d love to come back in other seasons to see this gorgeous property.

4th time and booking the next!

This is our fourth stay at Goat Hill and just as magical as the first. Jolene is always the sweetest and most responsive host! This place never disappoints. It’s the most beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and homey house in the area. We can’t wait to book our next visit.

Cozy seclusion at its finest!

We came to Goat Hill from CA as we were in the area for the wool/fiber festivals being held over the weekend. This property and amenities exceeded our expectations in a most wonderful way! The view was breathtaking and the house so very comfortable and cozy when it rained. We got in late the night we arrived and felt well taken care of when we saw the foods and thoughtful touches throughout the house. It felt like we were visiting the house of some dear friends. It was easy to get to/from where we needed to go and provided the spectacular nature show all around us that we had hoped to find. We would return in a heartbeat! ....and hopeful we will.

Paradise in upstate NY

Peaceful and secluded yet only 10 minutes to the towns of Woodstock and Saugerties. The house is immaculate and Jolene is the ultimate host-stocking the fridge with goodies, quickly responding to any communication from me, and providing a list of local attractions. Our second time at Goat Hill and hoping to go back next summer. THE BEST!!!!

Quiet, private getaway

We stayed at the Goat Hill House for a full week and weren't ready to leave! The house was clean, cozy and full of natural light. The panoramic view from the bluestone patio was stunning. I enjoyed sipping my morning coffee from the screened in porch, listening to the birds and watching the dragonflies dart around the flowers. The pool was heated to 80 degrees, which felt almost spa-like on cool 50-degree mornings. Jolene was a great host, checking in with us a few times to make sure everything was fine. She also provided some goodies (danish, smores supplies, and some fridge basics) for us to enjoy, which we did! We can't wait to come back!

Heaven in the mountains

This cabin was beyond wonderful! It was impeccably clean, comfortable, and full of charm. The view was beautiful, the mattress was comfortable, the fire was cozy… what’s not to love? Truly a rare gem, and Jolene was a wonderful and thoughtful hostess. Look forward to returning soon.

Our third time staying at Goat Hill House gem! We continue to come back for the view that never disappoints, the warmth of this quaint and clean home and the seclusion and privacy. Just Wonderful

The home is so quaint with many industrial farmhouse touches. The views are amazing and very relaxing. Jolene, the owner, is very gracious. She left us snacks, fresh fruit and hand delivered a beautiful cake as she knew we were celebrating two special birthdays and an anniversary. So thoughtful. We had a wonderful time and plan on returning as soon as we are able. Thank you!!!

Everything about our stay was phenomenal! Jolene was the ultimate hostess and made sure everything was perfect! She was easy to communicate with and even sent suggestions for activities in the area. The house was spectacular-clean, beautiful views and perfect for a quiet getaway, yet close enough to Woodstock and Saugerties to hop right into town. Weekend at the Goat House

Our weekend at the goat house was a weekend in paradise despite the rain. We were welcomed by the lovely touches that Jolene the owner left for us including muffins and raspberries!!! The house is beautifully situated and appointed with taste and care. The beds were comfy and cozy and we felt like we were in another part of the universe. Jolene was incredibly communicative and attentive. We wanted for nothing. We would go back again and again and hope to do so! Just perfect!!

Perfect Spot for a Romantic Weekend

Jolene is a spectacular host. Knowing that my wife and I had come to celebrate our birthdays, we arrived to find two cupcakes with candles and a “Happy Birthday” cookie; touches that made us feel welcome immediately. The kitchen is well-supplied, clean, and easy to navigate. The living room and dining area are comfortable and tasteful. The property is private and has fantastic views. Everything is easy to use and intuitive. The bed in the master bedroom is a very comfortable king and the skylight overhead offers amazing views of the stars on a clear night. The house is a five-minute drive to Woodstock and there are a number of excellent hiking trails nearby, some of which Jolene details in the information she provides about the house. You won’t go wrong staying here. Jolene is committed to ensuring that you are comfortable and feel welcome, the house is wonderful, and the property and location are excellent..
