It is the lowest priced beach front in emerald isle. It is beautiful beach, i and my maintenance crew do try to take care of guest needs at the same time keep the costs as low as possible and make the ocean front affordable given occupancy taxes, intermediary fees and flood insurance costs. It is the best value compared to any other hotels or vacation rentals, therefore i think it deserves higher rating.

This house was perfect for us! Being on the beach is the best part, two great decks and a gazebo that we spent a lot of time on. Ravi worked with us before during and after our stay and was very attentive which we appreciate in a host. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked.We use VRBO a lot, and we will definitely be coming back to this beach house!Thank you for sharing it, Ravi!

We enjoyed our stay at Emerald Isle. We were in a great location and loved that we only had steps to the beautiful beach. Loved the view from the master bedroom windows and balcony.

Adequate space. Location best feature of property. Stove old and could not regulate the settings on the oven until call placed to handyman and he confirmed that the control bottoms on the stove had to be pressed very hard to get it to work. Also while first impressions seemed to indicate that property was clean, upon closer inspection found dead bugs on window sills and behind furnishings. The outdoor space was very nice with large picnic table . The beach front was as good as it gets. Overall was fine with the accommodations.

Unfortunately due to offseason and end of season, the place being vacant prior to your arrival, this was not caught. I was not aware of this, if housing keeping was informed, this would have been addressed. Please note that this best and lowest priced house for the ocean front in emerald isle. I think it is unfair assessment of all overall rating considering we try our best to offer great location at affordable price. We are replacing the oven and also cleaners are not notified to pay extra attention to detail for detailed cleaning.

Perfect getaway!

We just had a wonderful stay at this cozy home! The walk out to the water is the best feature but beyond that, the owner was very quick to respond to any issues we had. Amazing service and care is an understatement. Highly recommend and will be back for another stay soon.

Loved it!!!

Our family and a couple of our kids friends had a wonderful stay on the beach in your place! We love the location, the beach was beautiful and not at all crowded. The dogs had so much fun in the surf and sand! We enjoyed the hot tub several times a day that was warm and inviting! We would stay here again for sure! Thanks for having us!!

Love the deck area and the gazebo area! Hot tub was clean and great. Furniture could be upgraded a bit. Overall we had a great week and enjoyed our stay.

Perfect place to stay

The beach is right there, and the gazebo is perfectly situated. The upstairs master was spacious and had a great view with a little balcony so was perfect to sit on in the mornings.

Birthday relaxation trip

The accommodations were exactly what I needed for the week. I wanted to get away from a hectic work schedule to relax for the week, and celebrate my birthday. Going solo, it was more house than I really needed, but it perfectly served its purpose. Comfortable bed, beachfront view with the sounds of waves at all hours (perfect!!!), close proximity to everything, and most importantly serenity.If I would be critical on anything, it would be that the bathrooms are small, if you are big, they are a bit tight to maneuver, and the furniture could use upgrades, but neither of those things bothered me for the week.I would gladly stay again.

Dog friendly, Great Beach Access

House could use a little TLC, but dog friendly, kitchen has everything you need. Beach access is awesome and views from the home in the winter are unbeatable. Hot tub was great and cleaned while we were there. Bedrooms and living area are tight, but again, can’t beat the view.

We had a great time. The hot tub was very clean. Enjoyed being able to walk a very short walk to the beach. We had all. The kitchen items we needed for our stay. Had an issue with upstairs toilet and it was fixed the next day. Great. Response to our issue on that. Would book this house again!

Great location - on the beach

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Location was great with the beach steps away. (The small sand/dune walk area from the steps to the beach is very narrow with brush growing over so definite care needed if mobility is challenged.) House was clean and had what my group needed for the stay. Owner communication was great and responsive. While not updated (clearly shown in pics so no surprise), everything important (like AC) worked and was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent home away from home on Emerald Isle

A great 'Thank You' to Bob and all of the property management folks. We had a few questions at the start and they were ALL so quick and helpful! The house was VERY clean and had all of the little extras that you don't usually get from a beach house such as soap, dish detergent, some spices, linens, towels, etc. The walk to the beach was so close and just perfect. The pier had a roof over the gazebo which allowed for sitting, viewing the ocean and not being directly in the sun. The second story balcony was a lovely way to spend time relaxing and watching the sunrise/sunset. The house itself was comfortable with beautiful furnishings and an eclectic design. It truly felt like a home away from home. We'll definitely return!

Wow. What a view!!

The home we stayed in was a duplex. We had family and friends and it had enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate us. The linens are professionally done and so we have plenty of them and we knew how clean they were. The house is comfortable but of course it has had some Use and that shows. The home was what I expected so there was no disappointment. At the end of the walkway to the beach it was a gazebo and that was absolutely perfect for us. It covered us from the sun and so we could sit out there anytime of the day. The breeze on the ocean is very nice and the beach was wonderful. It is not a crowded beach because it belongs to the homes all along that strip. Many in our family enjoy the hot tubs. Yes if I return to that area I would definitely rent this property again. The owner was always available by text. If you rent this property you will not be sorry. The view of the ocean is spectacular.

Perfect beach cottage for our family (dog too!)

Perfect beach cottage feel! Updated appliances in kitchen matter more to me than fancy cabinets. The furniture was very comfortable with some beautiful old pieces. Very nice mattress on the king-size bed, plenty of towels and other linens. The ocean was a very short boardwalk away. The newly built-up primary dune blocked some of the view from the main floor -- you can see the ocean just fine, but you'll only get a glimpse of the beach, something to know if you want to keep an eye on kids from the back deck. The view from the upstairs (windows and balcony of master suite) is just amazing. We brought our golden retriever, and she had as much fun as the rest of us. The short hose for washing feet also worked well for rinsing the dog! Loved the shell washing & fish cleaning table on the shared beach access. We had a super nice couple in the next unit, but the way the back deck is set up with the stairs separating the two sides gives some privacy. With cooler April weather, we used the hot tub every day (each side has its own). We'll be back!!

I'm glad you love my beach house and beach as much as I do. There is a shaded12 by 12 sitting area at the end of the walkway at the edge of the dunes where you can easily watch activity on the beach from the deck level. This is my favorite place to sit. Pleasant house in great location

Wonderful location on the water, with a short board walk to the beach. The gazebo on the board walk (shared by both sides of the house) is ideal for those who want to watch the ocean and the action on the beach without venturing down the steps onto the sand. We found the west side of the house comfortably furnished and equipped for our group of 7 adults. However, we thought it would be crowded with the 12 people it could sleep; there were only 7 chairs for the dining table and 6 seats in the living room area. When we arrived, we could feel sand on the floor, and there was some hair on one bathroom floor—but in general we felt we were in a clean space. The upstairs queen-sized bed was “broken down” according to its occupant, but the other beds were okay. The owner made it clear that we should contact him or the property manager about any issues; they were responsive in fixing things that were not working and buying necessary items, although it was not possible to get a plumber to repair the master bedroom toilet. There are chairs on the deck and in the gazebo as well as some beach chairs and sand toys. We made good use of the hot tub. There are smart TVs in every bedroom and and the living room. People with mobility issues would have trouble with the steep outside stairs on all houses in this area. Once inside this house, one bedroom and bath are on the main floor; the others including the spacious master are up steep stairs. Overall, we were happy we chose this house.

Location Location Location, but beware of....

Your house is the grimist house we have ever rented. I am the type of person that is way beyond being "OMG! there is no carpet on the stairs", not a issue for me; I can go with the flow. The BLACK mold on the vent fan in the master bedroom and the GROSS slimy shower curtain with black mold dots on the in the secondary bathroom got my adult kids using the master bath. Now again, I can get over the stapled down flooring in the master bathroom and even the rotten out cabinet that is leaking parital board onto the floor, but really the filthy vent was just plan dust and dirt was just gross. BLACK mold underneath the flooring in the bathroom was yet another added visual feature. OMG! Stair railing was just gross to touch. Glad I did not fall because I would avoid touching it. Last but not least the baby coach roaches in the dishwasher was a great touch. You have no right to charge any cleaning fee. When was the last time anybody even tried to clean behind anything. I wouldn't normally look behind the TV console (master) but since you provided only ONE HDMI cable we would have to transfer it from downstairs to upstairs TVs. REALLY LAME. The dried half eaten Twillers in the twin bedroom carpet, the 1/2 eaten cooking in the draws (again looking for something to make the TVs work) Your smoke detector would just go off, no cooking and we could not get it to stop, AGAIN try better quality products. I would suggest you break the bank and buy shower curtains, get the house PROFESSIONALLY cleaned, and BUY GOOD stain free MUCH BETTER quality pillows. Good Luck selling, A 100% total gut job, wiring is outdated and you are straining the systems with the amount of piggybacking you are doing off outlets. . We were grateful for such beautiful weather and a grimy filthy house did not interfere with great sunsets and our family time. Respectfully Disappointed,

Great location!! i'd book again.

perfect for our trip. i'd book again. great location, right on the ocean and covered sitting area at dunes is nice for watching the sunsets in available chairs. there's clearly a photo of the stairs to enter but take note they are steep! the stairs to the upstairs are also tight but feasible for sure. bathrooms appeared to have been updated since online photos. hot tub was great relaxation area at night. TVs are new and easy to access Roku / Netflix or UTube TV - all pleasant surprises! Note the bedrooms (other than master) and bathrooms are a little tight but definitely adequate and good water pressure. master is very roomy, everyone slept very well so i think the mattresses have been updated recently too. the reason i didn't score this place with 5 stars is because of the property management response time - there were a number of issues i noted when i arrived and contacted the property manager - i didn't get a response (but it was new year's eve)- I also emailed the owner and he replied the next day. thankfully we were able to figure out fixing the issue ourselves with tools we found, so the issues didn't ruin our trip. ref cleanliness - it felt like there was sand everywhere but as one of my guests noted, we're at the beach... it's part of the experience! the furniture, kitchen, bathrooms were clean and neat. there was even a fan provided which was helpful. great that some washing detergent and hand soap were provided, and we washed towels, etc. while we were there. I'd recommend for family, friends, and wonderful that they allow pets.

Great time

The cottage is a relaxing retreat. You can watch the ocean change daily, see dolphins cavort, walk, fish or just think. Our dog thought it was Heaven. The owner is extremely responsive and a delight. Go…you won’t regret it.

My family and I just returned from renting this property. It was a truly nice stay as it always is in Emerald Isle. We have rented a few different properties over the years and love the area. The property was reasonably furnished and there was plenty of space for everyone to move around. Being one of the more affordable Ocean front properties and being animal friendly I think it is unreasonable to expect that everything would be super modern, updated, and spotless but it was really quite good. Reading some of the other reviews I have to say folks really need to consider that these ocean front properties by nature just take alot of abuse from the elements as well as renters. The property had nice new smart TVs (this was handy on the rainy day we had for my 2yo), nice clean hot tub, kitchen appliances were a bit dated but functional, kitchen wares were provided and half decent. The provided linens were clean, beds were decent overall (one was a bit squeaky), things seemed reasonably clean overall, and the property owner was in touch and accessible for the one very minor issue that came up and seemed willing and able to handle any further issues that might have come up. Really not much more you can ask for. Thanks Robert!

Thank you, Donald. There is no more beautiful beach on the East Coast than in front of my beach house. My help and I go to great lengths to keep my place in tip top shape. In addition in the winter off season, I always have upgrades done. Thank you for the 5 Star review. Bob Cosgrove

1st family vacation in 12 years

We loved this placed, honestly was nicer than the pictures and just the right size for us. The location along the beach and it not being crowded was awesome. Enough parking, workable kitchen and nice bathrooms, the hot tub was well used and no issues to speak of. Thanks to Bob and his crew for working with us and providing an awesome space that let my family get together all at once for a week for the first time in more than 10 years. Was splendid.

Outstanding!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This place was perfect for kids and the hot tub was a bonus hit! Everything we needed was there, and Bob was very quick to respond to any questions we had :) We can't wait to go back!
