Long Lake Escape Cabin

Bienvenue dans cette charmante cabane au bord du lac Long Lake entièrement rénovée. Décoré dans une atmosphère de chalet éclectique ... comprenant des meubles peints à la main, un lit en rondins, un sol en pin noueux, une nouvelle moquette, de nouvelles salles de bains et un poêle à gaz. La cabine peut accueillir 8 personnes, avec un lit queen-size, un lit double, deux lits superposés et un loft ludique pour les enfants dans leur sac de couchage.

Le lac Premier sur un lac propre et calme fait de Long Lake le choix parfait pour vos vacances en famille!

Long Lake est situé à une heure et demie au nord des Twin Cities et juste à l’ouest du lac Mille Lacs, évitant ainsi tout le trafic de Brainerd, ce qui permet une conduite paisible. Cette retraite relaxante offre 100 pieds de rives privées avec une vue imprenable sur le lac et un accès immédiat à un magnifique lac de pêche et de loisirs doté d’un quai privé et d’une aire d’attache pour bateaux. Le lac Long a un accès public seulement trois portes plus bas, alors apportez votre propre bateau ou utilisez le bateau à aubes fourni.

Long Lake est un lac calme idéal pour la baignade, la pêche, les sports nautiques et la détente.

Il y a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour votre escapade en famille: foyer, barbecue à gaz, cuisine entièrement équipée avec micro-ondes, cafetière, grille-pain, etc ..., télévision, DVD et câble. Pour les enfants, une plage de sable, un bateau à pédales et un bateau à pédales pour des heures de divertissement. La cabane est située sur le côté est du lac, permettant de longues journées de soleil, de divertissement et de couchers de soleil incroyables.

Hillman est une excellente escapade en famille avec le parc d'attractions de Paul Bunyan Land et This Old Farm, à seulement 32 km. Pour les sportifs, le parc national des Mille Lacs Kathio est à seulement quelques minutes et propose 35 km de sentiers de randonnée boisés en été et de pistes de ski de fond et de raquette en hiver. Nous sommes également situés à 10 km des sentiers de Soo Line avec des centaines de kilomètres de sentiers de randonnée, de vélo, de VTT et de motoneige bien entretenus. Pour les joueurs et les cinéphiles, le Grand Casino Mille Lacs et le théâtre sont à seulement 15 minutes. Que vous souhaitiez explorer ce que la région des lacs des Mille Lacs et de Brainerd a à offrir ou simplement vous détendre et écouter l'appel des huards, il y en a pour tous les goûts ici, à Long Lake.

Cozy, clean and great place to stay

This property was clean, comfortable and cozy. Cabin was updated beautifully and had everything we needed. My boys enjoyed fishing off the dock and the swim area. Owners provided instructions and was available if needed for questions. Definitely would stay again and will recommended to friends.

Worth the Drive and Time

My family stayed Gary's lake house for 10 days....and it was/is an "A+." The description and details of the place are spot on. Big pluses... **Gary is great. Easy to work with, communicate with, etc. **The sand and swimming area are awesome. Our two younger kids would not come inside, just wanting to swim and play on the sandy beach. Perfect. **Washer/Dryer are new and front loading. Great for a family who wants to do a load or two and/or just get swim suits clean. **Grill is newer and very nice. We grilled out 8/10 nights and even boiled water for pasta outside. **Space - while not "huge," the space is so well thought out. We had plenty of room for two kids to shower/ bath at the same time, watch their iPad's, and draw/color. And at the same time, the deck/sitting area is perfect to watch kids play in the water. **Water equipment/toys are awesome. We used the kayaks, standup paddle board, paddle boat and all of the beach toys. We could have used the boat as well, but didn't because of kids ages. My only note (and Gary was great about this)....if you are wanting to bring food/drink (or anything else), get it when coming out the northern suburbs of Minneapolis or through Brainerd or St. Cloud, or Duluth. We did all of shopping for 10 days just north of Minneapolis (which Gary told us to do) and it was a life savor. There is NOTHING near (25 miles) other than a cute small little country store (basic bread, etc.). But this was a HUGE PLUS for us because we wanted to get away. Thanks, Gary, for a TERRIFIC vacation!

Beautiful and tranquil

The lake view was outstanding! The beach was perfect with lots of toys. The cabin was clean and adorable. It was perfect for my daughter, grandson, and me. We only stayed two nights and three days and would love to go back and stay longer.

Beautiful cabin in a relaxing environment!!

From start to finish this place was amazing! Gary was wonderful to communicate and work with and more then happy to help with any questions. Seems like a great guy! The cabin itself is adorable and actually had more to it then we expected which was delightful to find out. Beach area was perfect for our boys (7, 6 and 4). They enjoyed fishing from the paddle boat with their aunt and uncle and exploring with the kayaks. Lake was a bit smaller then we expected but honestly we just enjoyed seeing our boys have so much fun that it didn’t even matter. Would definitely recommend and return in the future. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin and relaxing beach with us!!

Perfect end to summer

Great cabin just 2 hours from south metro. Gary has everything you will need and more for a comfortable time. Sandy bottom beach made for a great game of catch in the water among the boys. I came with 6 boys about to go off to college. Watching sunset on deck and floating on the lake was a couple of my favorites. 3 bathrooms and the bunkhouse rental was key for our group. Easy to communicate with owner - very accommodating . Easy morning walk to convenience store. Will definitely return.

Highly recommended

It was perfect for our family. A big bonus was having new appliances. The beach was perfect for our grandkids (7 and 6). We used the very nice pontoon for cruising the lake, jumping off, and fishing. We caught enough fish (sunfish and crappies) to have a fish fry. The host was awesome. We pulled the kids/adults on the “Bubba” behind our Jet Ski ( Sea Doo). We had such an awesome time.

Fun & relaxing stay

We LOVED our time at this beautiful cabin. The cabin itself was well stocked and had plenty of room for the whole family (including an impressive selection of board games)! We spent the majority of our time in the water!! The sandy beach and swimming area were a huge hit (as were the paddle board, kayaks and paddle boat). I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing lakeside retreat!! Also, the owner was responsive and helpful with any & all questions!! Very positive experience!!

Quiet and relaxing place

Cabin was a great place for a family of 5. We enjoyed the shallow beach where our kids could jump off the dock and swim easily back to shore. The water toys provided (kayak, paddle boat, etc.) added even more fun. Fishing was fun, lots of small sunnies. Location is definitely recommended as long as you grab all your supplies in advance because there isn’t much around for miles. Enjoyed our stay!

Perfect getaway

Gary’s cabin was a perfect getaway with everything we could possibly need, and lots of space indoors and outdoors. The lake itself is quiet and calm, which gave our kids the freedom to paddleboard and kayak independently. Gary was very responsive and helpful with anything we needed. Everything was well maintained. We plan to rent again in the future!

Fun Long Lake Getaway

We had a great time at this rental cabin. The paddle board and beach area on the lake shore were both big hits. The property was clean and the listing was accurate. We would stay here again.

Wonderful vacation!

This cabin was just wanted me needed to unwind. We spent most of the time sitting outside looking at the beautiful lake. When we weren't looking at the lake we were playing in the sand and swimming in the water. My husband had a lot of luck fishing each morning. During the week it felt like we were the only ones on the lake. The cabin was cozy and no detail was overlooked by the owners. So impressed with the communication and look forward to going back next summer.

This property is so much better in person!! The pictures do not do it justice and the owner is so amazingly kind and always answered any and all my questions promptly. The cabin had just about everything you could possibly need and more! The kitchen was full of utensils and pots and pans and all things needed for cooking. There were towels for showering and even a few little things you might have forgotten at home!! The cabin was decorated so cute! Gary even let us rent out his bunk house for our son and his friend and they loved it - our son is 16 and he loved that bunk house so much that he raked the sand every night before he went to bed and picked up outside each night because he felt a sense of pride in that little space he could call his own. 😀 My nephews are 2 & 6 and they got to fish for the first time with my son and they loved catching all the little sunnies off the dock. We enjoyed a fire every evening and all the water toys were enjoyed by my nephews too! We also tried out the paddle board and paddle boat. The sandy beach was amazing and we spent most of our time right there! We had beautiful weather the entire time and will definitely come again. Hopefully soon, so we can enjoy the new bathroom that Gary was working on when we arrived. Thank you for the memories!!

WILL VISIT AGAIN - Highly recomend to others!

We stayed for 3 nights and it was beyond our expectations! We had 4 adults and 3 kiddos under six. We spent the days in the water either fishing, kayaking or paddleboarding. We utilized the bunkhouse which allowed us in the cabin to spread out a little more. We visited Paul Bunyan Land on Saturday morning and was impressed with that as well. We will consider booking this again! The best part was the private sandy beach and plentiful fish in the lake!

Great place for families!

This is our second year coming to this home and we love it. We hope to return many times in the future. It is clean and comfortable, a very cozy place to nap, read, play games. But we and our three young kids are usually outside the whole time. We enjoyed the paddle boat, palleboard, Kayak, catching hundreds of sunnies from the dock (bass and northerns deeper right in front of the house). Kids loved catching frogs, crayfish, swimming and playing in the water. Gary was great to work with, as always. Can't wait to come back again!

Great Long Weekend Getaway

This cabin was booked late in the game, after many of the more popular options further north were spoken for. This ended up working in our favor as this place was fantastic! A quick drive up from the Twin Cities to a very quiet, peaceful, not way up north lake. The cabin is very accommodating and is well prepared for guests. The walk out deck, yard, and beach were the best features noted by our party. We were able to launch our 17 foot fishing boat and tie up to the dock with no problems. The fishing was good. We caught big sunnies off the dock and plenty of bass and pike from the boat to allow for a fish fry the last night of our trip. The kids enjoyed playing on the beach, swimming, and jumping off the dock. A nice weed free beach and swimming area was a big plus. The weather allowed our family to be outside for almost the entire trip and there is a perfect spot for campfires to end each night right on the beach. Our sleeping arrangements required the kids to sleep in the same room as some of the adults, which wasn't a problem, as everyone was so tuckered out from our long days outside. If the kids were a little older I would have definitely taken up Gary on the option to rent out the boathouse and let the kids have their own little sleepover in there. Overall the cabin is very nice and we didn't feel we were roughing it in the slightest. It was very comfortable and had a home away from home type feeling. Gary, the owner, is great. He was very responsive leading up to our trip. He would email, text, and even called me to answer some of the more detailed questions I had about our stay. Once we arrived he even offered up some additional amenities for us to use while we stayed. This is a very nice rental option, from the cabin, to the lake, to the amenities offered. The owner of the property really takes pride in his cabin and making sure his guests have a fun, relaxing time and it shows. We hope to be back again!

Great swimming area for kids!

Very nice cabin and a great yard and swim beach! Kitchen is well stocked. The table is great for family meals. Nice deck and grill. Basically 2 bedrooms -- one sleeps 4, the other 2. Owner has a bunkhouse that can sleep additional guests. The paddle-boat, kayak and paddle-board were fun perks. Our grandkids loved the beach area and shallow walk in water area. We caught a few bass out on the paddle-boat and little sunfish off the dock. Lovely sunset views across the lake.

Picture Perfect

This is a great little place with a lot of character. We walked into a warm and inviting house. Very clean and tidy. The photos are true to the real thing. Beautiful small lake with very little boat traffic. It was a nice way to ease our way into summer. Although my teen boys had the option to go into town and “do stuff” they chose to hunker down - hammock, fish, kayak and just hang out. Nice to hear the loons talking to each other. Gary was nothing but gracious, friendly, helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed a lovely experience all around!
