Laissez les sons de la mer vous endormir après votre journée de tourisme ou de détente; la chambre et le salon font face à la mer.

This place has great location, all walking distance to restaurants and shopping, and also close to the beach. The problem is, the A/C unit shut down before we get there. Although the management provided a stand alone small A/C unit for the bedroom, yet it's still very hot in the living room area. On top of that, the little unit was very loud, it took us 2 nights to get use to the noise, but it almost time to move out the condo. Very disappointed .

Perfect location!

Quick trip for the weekend from Seattle. Close to the airport, easy walking everywhere and love the parking spot! Would for sure recommend this place.

Ocean waves crashing thru the night

This was a lovely condo to spend our days. Great view of the ocean with tidepools below. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Would stay again.

Nice place. When we arrived we were told the A/C was not working but would be repaired the next day. The next day we received an email saying the a/c was still out. No communication after that on our 5 day stay. The views are great. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Vacation in Kailua-Kona

Stunning location right on the ocean and just a stroll to amazing sights and restaurants. I wasn't expecting the condo to match the posted photos online, but if anything, they didn't do justice to the property. We would definitely stay here again. A delightful time in Hawaii.

Centrally located to everything Kona. The real draw is the view from the balcony. I don’t even know what was happening inside!! Loved it!

Love the location!

We had a great stay! While enjoying early coffee on the lanai the view(3rd floor #305) contained an expansive view of waves, surfers, canoes rowing and a cruise ship anchored quite a ways straight out on one day. Several of our favorite restaurants just a very short walk away. We were a little put off because the pool closed shortly into our stay for lanai restorations on another wing of the property. The staff on site were kind and accommodating.The owners even left us a nice anniversary gift. Would definitely stay again

Happy Home in Paradise

We absolutely loved the decor and comfort of this condo. I called it the 50 yard line for sunsets and sea life viewing. I also have a rental in Denver and try really hard to provide all the needed essentials and the owners did such a great job with details and supplying housewares, loved the black makeup washcloth, laundry supplies and beach gear! Walking distance or short drive to local venues. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Location!

Great location right on the beach and in walking distance to shops and restaurants. The condo was a little musty smelling at first but there had just been a storm and it was very humid and hot and was closed up when we got there. Once we aired it out it was fine. The central air in the building was not working but there was a portable air conditioner in the bedroom. It was awesome listening ti the waves at night.

Spectacular view and great location

The property is as advertised. We loved our mornings sitting out overlooking the ocean. We got to see the eels. From previous reviews, we were hoping the binoculars would still be there. Sadly, never found. But having beach towels and chairs that we could use was soooooo convenient and made our life easier. The convenience to shopping and restaurants is great. We appreciated the quietness of the location, the designated parking spot and the elevator.

Great Location, Great View, Great Stay

Two of us had a wonderful stay at this condo unit. Plenty of room for us, comfortable king bed, stocked kitchen and plenty of beach items like snorkels/chairs/towels that we really appreciated. We choose to leave doors and windows open to cool the place and hear the waves over running the air conditioner most of the time. Lovely breeze and surf sound was great. Perfect location, just a short walk to tons of restaurants and bars. Lovely pool right on the shore that we enjoyed several times. Handy parking spot and laundry room on each floor. It is an older building/unit that is close to the salt water, so understandably there are some issues, but we didn't have a problem. We would stay again for sure!

Best place for gorgeous sunsets

I loved the location as it was very convenient to everything, within walking distance, yet, just far enough not to hear the loud bars and traffic. We had the perfect lanai to watch the fireworks, as they were on the water, just outside our place! The condo had everything we needed, except air conditioning in the living room. The building AC was broken, but a window air conditioner was provided for the bedroom. Management purchased a fan for the living room but it wasn’t adequate for the sweltering heat so I purchased a large fan from Walmart to help circulate the humid air, which helped immensely. It’s an older building but you can’t beat the location. You pay for the views and convenience to the shops and bars. They also provide a free designated parking space which is VERY convenient in that area! Overall, we loved our stay and the management was very helpful.

Lovely view and comfortable unit

Unit 305 has been updated and is attractive. Unit 305 has the most comfortable lanai furniture that we have used so far at the HKK. The wood laminate floors are particularly nice. If there were a Swiffer they would be easier to clean. The kitchen cookware is adequate. The addition of a stove top wok (see unit 306) would be lovely. There is no salad bowl (only one mixing bowl), but lots of dishes and glasses. The bedroom is pretty; the bed is comfortable. A previous guest added a large foam pad which is fine. However, there is no mattress pad over this foam which I regard as less than hygienic. There was only one fitted sheet and lots of flat sheets, several past their life expectancy. The closet is full of great beach equipment in good condition. In the living room I would add a second reading lamp next to the sofa. The little lamp is good for a night light, but that's not sufficient. Take a look: move out the rather dated tree and put in a more adequate lamp. These owners are thoughtful of their customers which we appreciate. We hope to return in 2021.

Wonderful Place to Stay

I can't say enough good things about Hale Kona Kai and its staff. The complex is in the perfect location, ocean front, right on the water, and within walking distance of plenty of shopping and dining. Unit 305 was perfect, it had everything I could need. A King size bed and plenty of storage space in the closet and dresser. The kitchen had everything I needed; pots and pans, cooking utensils, coffee maker, microwave, full size oven/stove, a dishwasher, and a full size fridge/freezer. Plus plenty of plates, bowls, cups, and eating utensils. The unit has air conditioning, but I didn't need it. I loved having the windows and doors open for a beautiful breeze. Plus you can't beat the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks below. The unit also had beach items that I used (beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, bookie boards, snorkel equipment, etc.). My favorite part was the lanai, I could sit out there for hours. There is a table and 4 chairs, a perfect place to eat your meals. And the best place to be to watch the sunset. There was an issue with my unit not being ready when I arrived. It was after hours, but I was still able to contact the office staff by phone and they sent someone to get it ready. By the time I got back from dinner it was all set. The staff were very helpful and accommodating to me during my trip - excellent customer service. I will definitely be back.

Great location and view

The complex is amazing! Ocean front, great pool in front of the ocean, located to a walking distance of alii road. AC was very appreciated as well as beach gear and the binoculars to watch turtles playing in rhe tide pool ou the surfers. I totally recommend it!

Experience Kona

We wanted to experience this island as we have been to 2 others. Love the patio and the ocean view. The place needs some updating and a good DEEP clean, especially vents. Overall we would stay here again, good value.

Aged property in need of maintenance

I really want to be fair because the condo had some good points, such as location to town, great view from lanai, and responsive management. However the reader should understand this is an aged property both inside and out, badly in need of refurbishing. When we checked in there was a stench that resembled urine. The a/c to the entire building was not working for two days. The bathroom did not seem sanitary. Fortunately the management took pity on us and refunded our last four days so we could move to a resort
