This was our second year at this home on Keuka and it was just as great as the last! The house is well maintained and has some of the best frontage on the lake. We can't wait to come back again!
We had a wonderful stay at the Village of Keuka! The place is neat, clean, and provided the space we needed for our family. The upper deck was a beautiful spot to watch the sun rise and set. The waterway was perfect for the kids! Mary was easy to get a hold of and very accommodating. We canât wait to go back!
Beautiful place had a great time the only thing was that the dock was not safe to use and was not aware beforehand they had a very small temporary dock that we use instead was a pain when using boat
Overall OK but house needs some TLC. Steps down to lake not the greatest, stones missing creating hazard. Backyard landscaping super overgrown and tree growing in front of bedroom egress window blocking exit. Many lights on upper deck not working. Master closet, all bulbs out , no light. Screws falling out of hinge on basement bathroom door, have to lift to close. Toilets not secure to fllor in basement bathroom. Tub and sink in bathroom basement, really slow draining. French door upstairs to deck, hard to open. Many chairs broken on deck, probably should have been disposed of, not left on deck. The online description of bedroom doesn't match what House has. Binder in House outdated. House and property has great bones, just a few items not so good.
Absolutely loved our stay here. The house was huge and easily accommodated our family of 10. Check in was a breeze, AMPLE PARKING which is so hard to find on the west side, and the frontage was unbelievable. The fire pit, second fridge, and bunk room were the biggest hits of the week. We'll be back!!
The view from the deck can't be beat! The house is large enough for people to spend time together and have some privacy. The flat back yard and small beach area make getting into the water a delight. We had a 92-year old in our group, and the fact that there is just one small step into the house and then everything he needed (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living area, deck) on the main floor made it a perfect location for him.
This house is huge, comfortable and very family friendly. The lakefront has a gorgeous fire pit and a large pier for fishing. The swim platform was a lot of fun. The lake was clean and great for swimming. We had a wonderful time.
We spent a long weekend in early September on Keuka Lake at the Lake House. Everyone had a great time! The house was clean and welcoming. We all loved the location and outdoor amenities, especially the deck, fire pit and docks.
Beautiful home and beautiful view! Very comfortable home for my adult siblings and spouses and our 80+ year old parents. Kitchen stocked with quality cookware.
The house itself offered all the amenities a family could ask for. The front deck allowed all 8 of us to gather fir meals & relaxation. At night, the sky was a sight to behold. The beach area was great for the 2 kids and the adults, too!
Very pleased with the size and condition of the property. The location was perfect with plenty of room to play on the lawn and the fire pit at the point was a great bonus. The deck from the living room and kitchen looking over the lake made us all spend a lot of time out there enjoying the week together. Mary was fantastic, excellent communication and friendly.
Excellent family vacation home with plenty to do for everyone!
My family and I stayed here for a week. We are a group of 8 people of varied ages and energy levels. The dock was perfect for our pontoon boat and fishing off. We enjoyed having dinners on the deck looking over the water. We were close enough to various parks like Watkins Glen and Women's Rights National Historical Park as well as cute markets to shop. My 10yr old nephew loved the paddle boat and floating dock. Would love to stay there again.
House is very nice inside. outside could use landscaping and mowed deck is in terrible shape one person fell through luckly nobody got hurt parking is terrible only 2 trucks can be parked in it at once no room for the boat trailers we had with us but overall would stay again if it was redone and cleaned up
Very nice house. Very well stocked. Kitchen had all essentials. Negatives..No kayaks or canoes or life jackets for water sports. No ceiling fans on the back deck. No hot tub. Positive outweigh negative. I would stay again.
This is a beautiful property, with plenty of seating, inside and out, for a family or friend group. Having the bit of lawn near the lake, the easy lake access, and paddleboat made enjoying the water a treat. The upstairs deck is where we spent most of our time - the weather wasn't great, but sitting outside and enjoying the view was still a delight. And while a few little things might help - cushions for the deck seating would be welcome, as would better lighting in the living room - the house overall had everything we needed to eat, sleep, play games, and thoroughly enjoy our week.
This is a spectacular property with plenty of space, light, and amenities. I wish weâd known that the bunk bed room is not fully enclosed and that you need to walk through it to get to another bedroom. This had us switching who goes where; fortunately one of our group had to cancel at the last minute or Iâm not sure what weâd have done. But this house is gorgeous and the lakefront is everything you could ask for. We had a wonderful time!
House is beautiful, comfortable and clean! Loved all the amenities, especially paddle boat and fire pit. . There are a few property management recommendations we would like to make.
1. Dock needs to be repaired.
2. Landscaping is overgrown and narrowing the steps and path to the yard.
3. Whiskey barrel was broken and a hazard to small children.
4. Holes in pavement and stone steps in backyard creating a walking hazard for all.
5. Gutters need cleaning - weeds growing out of them.
6. Dehumidifier in downstairs does not work.
7. Second propane tank was empty, so we refilled it ourselves.
We like this property but we had a lot of issues from the start. Most of the issues were addressed by the property manager but this place needs a lot of tlc by the owners if vrbo is to continue placing it on the market. Here are the issues we encountered: When we arrived we discovered a broken toilet seat in the first floor bathroom.
There was an insufficient amount of toilet paper and paper towels.
The swim deck was unusable and had to be repaired while we were there.
Portions of the dock are in need of repair and are questionable as to their safety.
We had to clean the grill before using. It was extremely dirty.
Wet clothes were in the washer from housekeeping and not discovered until Monday.
The security alarm went off at 5 am and it took 3 hours to be addressed only to discover that the batteries were worn out and the owners unsubscribed their contract. There is no security service.
The television was not working and a new box had to be installed midweek.
The stone steps from the house are in disrepair and dangerous.
The entrance to the property from the south has a blind spot due to bushes. Visibility when leaving the property requires someone to stand on the road to assess traffic.
The grounds have a lot of tall weeds.
Most vacation rentals have one or two kayaks. We had to bring our own.
For what we paid we expected better. Iâm sure those who came after us fared better because of the price of inconvenience we paid.
