Perfect location. This room was slightly bigger than another condo we stayed in at Shoshone. Everything in condo is as advertised and ski lifts are right outside. Communication with host was excellent.
This condo was a large one-bedroom and very clean upon check-in. Many times we will need to clean before we are comfortable using a rental, but happily that was not the case with this one. We enjoyed the convenient location to restaurants, the base area and ski lifts. The spring conditions improved each day with nightly snowfalls. We would recommend this rental and would return again.
We stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. Loved the location, awesome view of the mountain, and really easy check in/out process. I passed long lines of people checking into the hotel, so it was awesome to walk right past them and use the code to get right into our room. The beds are basic, but able to fit six of us (two adults and four kids). Easy location for skiing and steps from the market, ski school, etc. I'd stay there again for sure.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Good unit but......
First time I have been disappointed in VRBO in many, many bookings.
This was a nice unit: great location, furnishings, access.
But: it is listed with washer/dryer access and that was not the case. Our key did not work for the washer/dryer room and the front desk said this unit does NOT have access for washer/dryer. Tough on a 10 day ski vacation.
Trash pick up was also not as frequently as advertised and it let to trash bags piled in the kitchen, despite several calls and promises.
Service was good for towel replacement and dropping off a missing frying pan.
We've stayed in Shoshone before many times, so knew how great the location and pool/hot tub were. This review is merely compared to other units at Shoshone. This unit is much larger than many others, with a spacious living room. The murphy bed can be lowered and fully-enjoy the kitchen table. There are upgraded counters and dishwasher (very quiet). It is mountain-facing and so we expected sounds of groomers, so that fine. Big Sky's mountain staff snowmobiles beep loudly now and they race around all night. (Never heard that before!) Either the beeping is new (and obnoxious) or the unit is high enough where the sound isn't blocked by the building in front (but that means you can see the slope over that same building). They'll keep you up, so bring ear plugs or set the house fan to ON and hope for the best. The ski locker area is no longer open to all units and doesn't have a space/benches to let you change and store boots/shoes, but this unit does include storage for skis (not boots), so that's nice. The alternative is a $13/nt valet on the mountain, which would add up. So the only 'ding' for this unit is that it is so close to the slope that you can hear the groomers from a distance (totally expected and were never a problem), but those beeping snowmobiles... We'd go back to Big Sky and we'd happily stay in this unit again.
We enjoyed our week in this spacious, comfortable condo and appreciated the close proximity to the slopes, Village restaurants and stores, and the shuttle stop. The automated check-in and check-out process and ground-floor ski storage contributed to an effortless stay.
A very nice 1 BR condo with a perfectly good murphy bed in living room to make it seem like a 2 BR condo. Right in the ski resort village for ski in / ski out.
The location is perfect. Easy ski access and access to town. Great kitchen with all you need to cook meals. Beautiful view too! Bonus was amazing hot tub and indoor/outdoor heated pool!
Our condo was perfect. Clean, great views, kitchen had necessities I needed to cook, comfortable beds, friendly staff, cozy and felt like home. Wish our stay was longer!
The property is located in the heart of the Big Sky ski area with easy access to all that Big Sky and the surrounding area has to offer. The sixth floor location offers great views, and the room was very spacious. The property has a big pool (outdoors) connected to a hot tub (indoors). The pool area is also connected to a workout room. The property has a nice cafe and is steps away from the Big Sky Base Camp that has food and other shopping. One thing to note is that the room DOES NOT have a balcony even though the listing indicates that it does. There is a door that opens to a small metal grate - definitely not a balcony. We notified the property manager and hope that the listing will be rectified.
Shoshone 1972 was perfect for our family of 4. It was clean, well-stocked, and roomy The location was great and we loved having access to the outdoor pool. We definitely hope to stay here again!
Great location, however, near impossible to get a good nights sleep here. Pillows are lumpy and cheap as well as comforter it crackles when you move. Did have lots of white fluffy towels.
