Maison récemment rénovée avec tout le confort du voyageur le plus exigeant. Beaucoup d'espace pour un week-end, des vacances en famille, une fête de mariage ou un voyage d'affaires.
Cette maison vous fera vous sentir rajeuni, inspiré et prêt à affronter la vie. Salles de bains spa avec baignoires sur pattes, douches en marbre et beaucoup d'espace. Grande salle dispose d'une table en érable 16 pour les dîners, jouer à des jeux, un bar complet, une bibliothèque diversifiée. Il y a un salon formel, une salle du matin confortable avec une table de petit-déjeuner, une grande cuisine de ferme et un piano à queue pour le musicien.
Cette maison a un prix pour un séjour de 2 personnes! Il pourra accueillir jusqu'à 10 personnes mais cela coûte plus cher.
2 suites parentales avec lits King et salles de bain attenantes; une au premier étage et une au deuxième. Le deuxième étage a une chambre avec deux lits jumeaux et un lit queen. Buanderie complète avec lavabo.

Weekend with extended family

The house is perfect for getting the whole family together. We found everything we needed - even a couple sleds when we woke up to snow. Loved the decor. And, the host was very helpful & responsive. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great Place

The place was great. Four of my siblings, a nephew, and my father stayed for 2 nights to visit my terminally ill brother who lives in the area. The house is located near the center of town near restaurants. The spaciousness was helpful for private contemplation, yet the gathering rooms were great for getting together to share our experiences. The collection of items was a source of conversation in and of themselves.

Great for extended family

We stayed here with the whole extended family for a late xmas celebration. The host was kind enough to leave the xmas tree up for us. It was a wonderful touch. The house has wonderful personality & decor. There was plenty of space for enjoying each others company & finding some quiet time when needed. I especially loved the long table.

Unspeakably Beautiful

It's hard to put into words how elegant and yet also comfortable and homey this place is, but "cozy mansion" seems to capture it. It's lushly appointed, super comfortable, lovingly cared for, and magical at every turn. Most of us will never have the chance to experience living in such old-world elegance. It's treat for all the senses. We highly recommend it!

Great Experience

Too historical for kids to run around in, but perfect for some mild mannered adults. Owner was extremely easy to communicate with when questions arose. Close to town, comfy, clean. 1 bed downstairs works well for the elder we had with us, but that front entrance was tough for him, especially with the rain and freezing temps. However, especially for the area, 5 star all the way.

Very lovely with a few exceptions

Beautiful home and property. The rooms were very comfortable and welcoming. The most disappointing areas were the steps to the main and side entrances which are very difficult to manage. Also, there was no freezer in the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and dishes.

Thank you for letting us know what you liked and didn't like about the house. We have tried to anticipate everyone's needs and are always trying to improve this property and your experience. We always ask if you have any specific requests for your stay and that is the time to let us know if you do however we are also available by phone for the duration of your visit if something pops up. Most guests find the large catering refrigerator a treat for their culinary needs. We do have a freezer in the basement if needed. We even use the lovely blue-stone ramp built as an alternate to the historic stone steps. However, if anyone has any older people with them and even the ramp is too difficult, they just have to let us know and we can direct you how to park behind the house and use the back entrance directly into the kitchen. When we ask if you have any special requests for you stay, please let us know what you may need and we will accommodate you if possible. Warm Regards, The Balcom Court Team

Gorgeous home

This house and its furnishings are impressive! The beds are very comfortable. We all had great night’s sleep. The grounds are magnificent! It was so enjoyable sitting outside. If the weather had not been as beautiful as it was when we were there I would have spent more time in the extraordinary dining room looking over the items on the massive bookshelves. Lovely antiques. It is obvious all the work and creativity Lucinda has put forth in making this house a lovely home. There were a few items I am suggesting that would have made our visit a little less stressful. After searching awhile we discovered that there was no microwave or toaster or freezer upstairs. Lucinda did respond to my questions quickly after our “search”. I am suggesting that she put a notebook out with info about e.g. what she uses for a toaster, etc. so that the guests would know this info when they begin their stay. All in all it was a beautiful place to spend time in.

What an amazing home with a terrific owner.

This beautiful rental is in a cute town of Oxford, NY. The inside was beautifully restored and gorgeous. All of the bedrooms were so inviting and comfortable. The game room/ library was so nice and everyone enjoyed spending time in it. The outside is so nice too with a great patio area in the back with a fire pit. The owner was terrific and greeted us with homemade ginger snap cookies that were delicious. On top of that she showed our daughter how to pick berries. We will definitely stay here again!

Impressive decoration but too fragile

The room is nicely decorated and left an great impression on us. There are many things you can do in the house and won't feel bored if you stay there for a couple days. However, since it is an old house, some furniture is a bit fragile so you'd better be careful when living in. Even a bottle of water may cost you a couple hundred dollors to repair it.

Thank you for your kind review. I am glad you and your group enjoyed your stay. Thankfully you purchased the insurance so the incident involving multiple water bottles and the bag of ice that melted all over the dresser ruining the finish should not cost you a dime! It is meant for incidents like these where mistakes happen!

One-of-a-kind amazing home!

We loved staying at this beautiful house for Memorial Day weekend! Conveniently located to the center of town, we really appreciated the amazing decor and care Lucinda, the homeowner, put into making her home so inviting and unique. We were in town to attend a wedding but would have been just as happy relaxing at the house for the whole weekend. Lucinda was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any questions we had...and her baked goods we're delicious! We are already thinking of planning another visit, perhaps this fall!

My family and I went up for Christmas and booked lucinda’s Accommodations. Lucinda had the most beautiful Christmas tree awaiting our arrival. She was very helpful and kind and not at all overbearing . She lives next door so if you need anything she is near by! As for the house, it was a dream! Everything in its place and a place for everything . We will most definitely return next year . Highly recommend. A +

I grew up on an organic dairy farm in Greene, NY. I moved to Charleston, SC to go to Culinary school and stayed for 20 years where I had my own clothing line and interior design studio. A few years ago I was looking to move back here to the land and family I love. I found this almost abandoned home and spent the summers removing the layers of neglect and polishing the bones. It shows. Putting back in the orchards and flower gardens and patches of berry bushes has felt so good. I like it here!

Whether it is walks in the summer and picking berries and flowers from the garden, or picking up the sleds in the back yard and going for a ride there is always a reason to PLAY!

A kitchen to welcome you to bake cookies or make hot chocolate.

I love summer evenings next to the fire pit in the back yard. The deer and fox strolling though the thickets.
And I have spent the last year compiling a list of things to do from the antique car museum, to drive in movie theaters, to parks, and yoga studios, live music, and the ice cream shop, to the animal adventure park and most importantly the local Oxford farmers market where the selection us unparalleled.
