Emplacement, emplacement, emplacement! Beacon Hill est situé au centre, à une sortie au sud du centre-ville de KC et à la sortie de l’autoroute 71. Niché dans un quartier de maisons historiques et ultra modernes. Vous pouvez être n'importe où en ville en moins de cinq minutes. Pensez au charme du vieux monde et au loft du centre-ville. Conçu pour divertir à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur. Énorme cour clôturée, magnifique jardin et beaucoup de places de stationnement hors rue. Cette maison récente récente (construite en 2006) a 3 étages et demi et un plan d'étage ouvert. De la cupule du troisième étage, vous pouvez réellement voir les toits de Kansas City.

L'intérieur dispose d'un plan d'étage ouvert, cuisine gastronomique, grande suite parentale, chambres 2 et 3 partagent un bain Hollywood. Le niveau inférieur fini comprend une salle de cinéma et une 4ème chambre avec salle de bains privative. À l'étage supérieur, un escalier en colimaçon mène à la chambre Loft d'un enfant (chambre 5 officieuse).

Dehors, il y a un beau jardin, une grande terrasse ensoleillée, une terrasse arrière privée et deux balcons de la suite principale au 2ème étage. Non seulement la grande cour est clôturée avec du fer forgé, mais elle a aussi une belle aire de jeux. Ce qui en fait l'endroit idéal pour que vos enfants jouent en toute sécurité.

Great home for family gatherings. The host is very responsive and the location in KC gives quick access to all areas of town. We spent Christmas there with our family and had a wonderful time.

The house was very unique and was a perfect setting for our company retreat! There was plenty of room for everyone and had all the amenities we needed for our three day stay.

We stayed at the Castle as our son was getting married at a venue close by. We Loved the whole experience. We had family that could stop by and gather, the Groom and his Groomsmen got ready at the Castle the morning of the wedding, and some awesome photos were taken. Even though we live in Western Lenexa, we have already decided we will stay again for a Staycation soon. Also, loved that there was a Christmas tree up, made the whole holiday experience and festiveness of the wedding even better!

So glad your family "loved the whole experience!" The KC Castle location is unbeatable for ALL things in Downtown KC. This 5 bedroom 4 full bathroom home is not only 3500 sq. ft, but also sits on a 1/2 acre fenced city lot. There is plenty of space for your stay both inside and outside. The garden will also has plenty of spring flowers blooming soon....

It was a great house for our large party. We had plenty of space. Kitchen amenities were great and we loved the 4th full bathroom in the man floor. Only odd thing is that you can see through the cool old pine floors on the 2nd floor right down to the main floor…..and you can hear everything. Might think think twice about using the master bath toilet that’s right over the dining area.

The KC Castle has plenty of old world charm. Modeled after a Tuscan countryside castle. It's the perfect blend of old design meets modern fixtures and floorplan. Constructed with a reclaimed stone exterior, Spanish castle front door, and heart pine timbers from the KC Stockyards, make this property not only unique but too "cool!"

So glad you found the space to be "perfect!" While we do not allow for large gatherings or events, we were happy to be able to accommodate your family for their small gathering. We do get many requests to host small events, but unfortunately, the city ordinance and our short-term rental permit make it illegal to do so. A dinner party or a small celebration may be permissible. Please just ask in advance!

We agree, the KC Castle is a "great for family of all ages." Especially in 2025! At the request of a half dozen potential guests that were unable to book the castle over the past two seasons, we have added a Bed and Bathroom to the first floor of the house. We have added a Queen IKEA sleeper sofa in the living room and converted the 1/2 bath, of the living room, into a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. We have done this to accommodate for your aging parents / grandparents. FYI: there are still two steps to step up from the drive to the front porch and enter the home through the front door. There are also four steps to enter the home from the back drive, onto the back porch and through the back door. Once you enter into the home, elders can now dine and sleep on the main level. These two improvements help make the KC Castle a "great space for family of ALL ages." Additionally, for the children / grand children, we have a completely fenced in yard, playground w/a swings and a slide, and a movie room in the basement. There is also a neighborhood playground one block to the south. You can also leave your kids with grandma at the park and walk one more block to Vested Coffee for a hot latte and a muffin. Plus, i can think of no better home away from home for the holidays! Thanks again for choosing the KC Castle!

We are so glad that you had a "blast" and we agree, the KC Castle is "great!" We were also happy to provide a new pack-n-play for your grand baby. It is also a great addition for the next guest with a baby or toddler. If you are looking to book a home for your family, and you have kids/grand kids, the KC Castle is an excellent choice! It's located in a safe and very walkable neighborhood just one exit south of Downtown. The neighborhood has a nice playground one block from the home. If you don't want to leave the property, then there is a fenced and level yard with a small playground for your tots. You can push them on the swing or watch from the deck under the umbrella, sipping on your sweet tea. If you prefer to sit out back, we have a restored swingin' glider on the back porch for you to sit in and sip on a glass of wine by the fire pit. If you prefer not to leave the master, there are two balconies, one on the front of the house and one with two chairs on the back balcony. There are several outdoor spaces for you to read a book and unwind before you head off for your next KC adventure...!

We used the house for a team-building meeting.Perfect location, clean and comfortable, loved the huge TV.The owner was responsive when I didn’t read the instructions to access the house. LOLWe will definitely stay here time in KC.

Great fun 4 story house in a historic gentrifying neighborhood

We agree, the castle is a "super house!" Might I also add that it is hosted by a super host...? In 2005, when we built, this neighborhood was up and coming as it was getting regentrified. In 2025, this neighborhood has arrived! Believe it or not, the sales prices for the larger homes in this neighborhood are hovering just under one million dollars. The main difference between other regentrified neighborhoods and Beacon Hill is that this neighborhood is mostly new construction. 90% of the historic homes were sadly demolished. But this made way for an award-winning neighborhood, with a mix of mostly modern architecture with a few historic homes mixed in. If you are a fan of modern architecture, then you will love to take a 20 minute walk around the neighborhood, possibly getting ideas for your next build.... There are also sidewalks, a coffee shop, a playground, and common green spaces, all within two blocks of the castle. Beacon Hill is safe and very walkable. The access to downtown and the highways is unmatched. You can be anywhere Downtown in five minutes. You can also be on the highway and off you go exploring in less than 60 seconds....

Well located, great group stay

Centrally located for all Kansas City has to offer but still Great access for getting in and out of the city quickly. I’d definitely recommend the castle for a large group looking for a weekend getaway.

We agree, the KC Castle is centrally located and has great access to all that KC has to offer. 5 minutes to the downtown arena, performing arts center, Power and Light District, and some really great restaurants. KC's best BBQ, Jack Stack, is only a 5 minute drive, or long walk, away....

Awesome house!

The house was nice and big with different spaces to spread out. We just had 4 people during our stay, and the house was almost too big for us haha. Loved the parking available behind the gate and also on the street. Quiet part of town but still a short drive from so many things. Would stay here again!

Yes, the KC Castle is "AWESOME!" It's a big, big house with lots and lots of room! There are 5 bedrooms plus the sleeper sofa in the LR. Two kings, three queens, one full size, plus the queen sleeper sofa. So, seven beds total. Plus, you can park three cars behind the wrought iron gate and two more in the roundabout. Plus, the home is located on a quiet one-way street where on-street parking is allowed in front of the house. There is always an extra spot for you as nobody else parks on the street b/c the neighbors all have garages that face the alleys. This is the quietest Downtown KC neighborhood! There is also a private wrought iron fenced yard as the home is nestled on a 1/2 acre with hedges and trees all around the fence line. The rose of Sharon hedge across the front gives a nice natural screening from the dog walkers. The south fence line provides a fragrant lilac hedge. They bloom nicely in the springtime, along with the cherry tree, Bradford pear tree, red buds, peonies and tulips.... Spring is almost here and it's a glorious time in the garden at the KC Castle....

Downtown is bustling with concerts, breweries, and Fantastic restaurants! The KC Castle is the perfect base to launch into ALL that Downtown, Midtown, the Plaza, the River Market, and the West Bottoms have to offer.... Many of our guests are families that consist of parents, grand parents, and children. The house is spacious so everyone can spread out, and so is the yard. Why would you ever want to stay in a hotel room w/kids again? Great base to explore all KC has to offer. Uber close to Legoland, Science city and the sea aquarium. Short drive to the KC Zoo, Worlds of Fun, and Royals / Chiefs stadiums. See you next time!

KC baseball weekend

The KC Castle is the BEST location for all things KC! The Kauffman baseball stadium is beautiful and only 15 min from Downtown! Plus, there some great breweries nearby. Future guests will be happy to know that we added some oversized rugs in two of the second story bedrooms. Plus, we just upgraded the front exterior lights to LED and added some garden spotlights. We do take our guest's suggestions for improvement to heart and do our best to implement them in a timely manner. We also appreciate when suggestions are communicated to us directly, so that guests can focus on the things they loved about the KC Castle in their reviews. Good 5 STAR reviews are the best way to let future travelers know what to expect. 5 Star reviews also help us to optimize our search ranking which ultimately helps us get more bookings. We agree, the KC Castle is an "Awesome place..!" If you are in town for a football, soccer or baseball game, this home is just a short drive (15 min) to Arrowhead stadium. It's the perfect base if you want to do Downtown! There are all sorts of great restaurants in the Crossroads arts district, less than one mile away. Just a few of our faves in greater KC are Jack Stack BBQ, Garozzo's Italian (river market), Grunauer (German), Capital grill (fine dining steakhouse on the Plaza), Torchy's (mexican in South KC), the Farmhouse (breakfast spot in River Market), Minsky's (pizza off the plaza), Wahlburgers (overland park, ks), Prime sushi & Korean BBQ (overland park, ks) but worth the drive. KC has overall great food!!!

Great location for downtown sporting events

Great location for Big 12 basketball tournament. Large home for three adults on a buddy basketball trip. Home had decent amenities. comfortable bedrooms and beds. Overall not quite as nice as photos made it look, especially outdoor areas. We would rent it again.

We agree, the KC Castle is in a "Great location!" So glad you had a comfortable stay. Admittedly, the best time to be outside in the garden is later in the season. The fenced yard is impressive for a Downtown home in the middle of your next adventure!

Glad to hear you "had a bast!" The KC Castle is the perfect location for a big family or group of friends to all stay together and explore KC from. It is a 3.5 story, 3500 sq. ft. home, in the best Downtown neighborhood. As springtime fast approaches, the garden will start to bloom. The tulips and cherry blossoms will be first, followed by the red bud trees and peonies.... The 1/2 acre fenced yard has much flora all the way to the burning bushes in the fall. Plus the yard is big enough for yard games. We hope everyone "loves their entire weekend" at the "Castle house!" Safe travels!

So glad you guys got to see a great football game! What a finish! The KC Castle does get fully booked for Chiefs regular season and playoff games. The Royals and Chiefs stadiums are only 15 minutes away. When the Royals move their stadium downtown, you may be able to walk to the games. It just depends on the site chosen. The KC Castle is about a 20 minute walk to Union Station, the Crown Center, and the KC Streetcar. Thanks again for choosing the KC Castle!

So glad we are able to host "smiling faces." The KC Castle is a great place to bring family together to celebrate with one another. While we are by no means an event space, we do allow for small family gatherings like a post-wedding brunch, thanksgiving dinner or for a multi-generational family celebration. Our family has made many wonderful memories in this home over the holidays. We have added a couple of new outdoor chairs off the master bedroom balcony and a beautiful set of Italian stemless wine glasses for your next celebration's Tuscan wine toast. Cheers!

At the KC Castle, we strive to keep an open line of communication between us and our guests. Communication is an important component to assure our guests enjoy their stay. Sometimes, things happen.... Good communication helps us to fix things as needed. There's nothing worse than finding out about an issue, post-stay, that should have been addressed during a guest's stay. Post-stay, we really appreciate it when suggestions for improvement are communicated directly to us, instead of in a review. We really do implement all good suggestions. Our most recent guest suggested we add a few items in the kitchen. She suggested, and we listened. Safe Travels!

Mini Castle

This was an amazing stay, it truly felt like we were in a mini-castle. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a get away.

The KC Castle has become a destination vacation rental for many friends, families, and professionals. The Tuscan 8 architecture was inspired by the label off a bottle of Italian red wine. The front and rear balconies, 1/2 acre yard enclosed by a 6' wrought iron fence, the hedge lines, 8' arched double door, and the Lion statues do add to the castle vibes.... Glad to hear you had "an amazing stay...." Thank you for recommending the place to future travelers.

We searched and searched for a downtown loft. But, the prices /sq. ft. were just too high for an unfinished space. So, we found a city lot w/a skyline view and built a new home that looks like a downtown Loft on the first floor. That's why the floor plan is open w/ post and beam construction, just like the old River Market & West Bottoms Lofts. It is the best of both worlds, downtown living with a view and a 1/2 acre fenced in yard for the kids. Very quiet, safe and walkable Beacon Hill neighborhood. Lots of repurposed materials. Exterior stone was reclaimed from a 100+ year old Catholic church in Kansas City, that was demolished. Additionally the interior has exposed ceilings that are also constructed from reclaimed, old growth, T&G pine decking. The orange color of the wood is the natural patina, aged over 100+ years. The interior and exterior layout of this home makes it excellent for small family gatherings, wedding parties (not weddings), BBQ's, and all entertaining. We have enjoyed entertaining friends and family here for birthdays and holiday celebration. Starting in May of 2019, we will be sharing this amazing home with you and your family, so you too can enjoy making a new memory at what we affectionately call the KC Castle.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! Located just one exit south of Downtown. This home is less than one minute from the 22nd street exit off 71 hwy. You can be downtown to the Power & Light entertainment complex, Convention Center, Sprint Center, Midland Theatre, Kauffman performing arts center or anywhere else Downtown in less than 5 min. We are also in close proximity to great coffee shops, award winning restaurants and bars, grocery store, and all of the popular Downtown wedding venues. The neighborhood is very walkable and has additional community green space. If you want to stay in the hottest neighborhood in Downtown KC, Beacon Hill is where it's at! No disappointments!

Unbeatable location! Perfect for a family visiting KC who want to stay together and be centrally located. This home has four bedrooms plus the kid's Loft bedroom (BR 5). The master Suite has a king size bed. Bedrooms 2, 3, and 4 each have Queen beds and are en-suite. Please note: bedrooms 2 and 3 share a Hollywood/Jack and Jill bathroom. The kid's Loft bedroom is on the third floor and has a full size bed and a twin over full size bunk (3 total beds in kid's Loft). In total, the bed set up comfortably sleeps eight adults (four couples) plus 2-3 kids. Or, seven adults can each have their own bed.

Please respect the fact that this property is not an event space. It shall not be booked for weddings, parties, reunions, etc. We strictly enforce the guest policy. Failure to comply with our policy is grounds to terminate the reservation. Smoking, of any kind, is ONLY allowed outside. But, we have a back porch, front porch, shaded breakfast patio, sunny south side deck, and the master suite has a balcony.

Neighborhood is quiet, safe and walkable.
