Eau chaude à la demande sans fin. Air central. Laveuse et sécheuse sur place. Sièges de la salle à manger 6. Cuisine avec tous les appareils. Spacieuse cour avant avec véranda, idéale pour s'asseoir et se détendre avec votre café du matin. Calme, paisible, entouré de zones boisées. Lovely Shelter Island house

We really appreciated Laura's house. The beds were comfy, the big yard was fun for our kids to run around in, and the kitchen was exceedingly well equipped. Unlike some faceless short-term rentals, this place really is someone's home, so it's just that much cozier and prettier--and more functional. We'd be glad to come back some time.

Great end of summer getaway

The house had everything you could possibly need - especially for cooking; and a superb bathroom-with heated floors. It's right on Rte.114 but back from the road and across the street from the Sylvester Manor. No water views but beaches are close-by and the backyard outdoor sitting area is lovely - lots of basil.

Great Location.

Great spot for a beach getaway! The house is ideally situated, just a stone's throw from beautiful beaches, restaurants, convenient ferry services, and essential stores. Inside, you'll find all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. A nice surprise was the daily visit from a family of deer in the garden - a real treat for nature lovers! While the house itself was great, the beach equipment could use some attention. The chairs are showing their age, and unfortunately, the umbrella was broken during our stay. An update to these items would make beach days even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this place for its location and comfort.

The house was perfect. It came with everything you could possibly need. It was so comfortable. Walk outside to the grill and cook. Come inside and watch the huge screen TV. The central air-conditioning was ideal. They had beach chairs, beach towels and bicycles. I come to Shelter Island about three times a year, and this was pace was the best.

Second great stay!

We had a great two weeks at Laura's house. The house is well equipped for cooking and had two spacious desks for remote work. Great communication with owner made for an easy stay. Would definitely return!

Comfortable and Accessible

Once again we had a wonderful relaxing time at the house. A/C is great, big screen TV with lots of channels, kitchen has lots of appliances and general equipment for experienced cooks. Comfortable beds. House is well situated with very easy access to beaches, grocery store, restaurants, and good walking preserves. Certainly will come again!

Great House in a Beautiful Location

Husband and I stayed for ten days in this incredibly well equipped home. Kitchen has everything you can think of to cook and enjoys meals at home. That said, this home is located in the center of local restaurants and beaches. We spent our days riding bikes and relaxing on beaches. The large screen TV made watching the US Open even better. We’ve been coming to the Island for the last seven years and this trip confirmed why. Highly recommend!

Perfect House for our stay

The house is centrally located and easily accessible to all shopping, beaches, restaurants, preserves (either driving or walking, bicycling. The house is very comfortable and relaxing and was perfect for our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Shelter Island in this house. Owners very responsive to our questions and needs.

Quintessential Shelter Island home, centrally located and close to Wades beach

As shared in previous reviews, this home is well located. Kitchen is very well kitted out and bathroom is very pleasant. Hosts are fantastic. Responsive and available to ensure that your stay goes without a glitch. Great WiFi and TV channels in the property also.

Great location, well equipped clean home

This property was perfect for our family trip to shelter island! The house is centrally located, about a mile down the road from the beach. It is very close to the grocery store on island and some great restaurants. I would highly recommend it for a family or small group looking for a clean, well kept vacation house!

Relaxing stay in lovely cottage

We had a lovely relaxing stay in this cute cottage. You have everything you need to make your stay comfortable, central air, plenty of cooking supplies, great WiFi, Netflix and a beautiful new bathroom to enjoy! It is a wonderful location, so close to restaurants and IGA and convenient to both ferry’s. House instructions were very clear and the host helped us get a beach parking permit to make the stay on Shelter Island so easy with our new 2 month old baby. Hoping to be back later in the year or in 2021!!!

Perfection!

Everything about Laura's property was perfect! The property is fully equipped with everything you could want: complete kitchen, beach accessories (chairs, umbrellas, noodles), backyard furniture, central AC, etc. The location is unbeatable, a 1 min drive to one of the nicest beaches and a central part of town with shops and cafes. Laura was so friendly and always available, which I really appreciated. Looking forward to returning!

Very cute property with Huge yard!

As a HomeAway owner for 10 years of multiple properties and extensive homeaway traveler I know what it takes to run a 5 star property. This home really deserves that rating. Starting with communication with the owner. She was very accessible and responded to all msgs within a few minutes. Vary rare to get that quick response. Usually hours. The kitchen is one of the best stocked kitchens I have ever seen in a rental. Kitchenaide mixer. The same professional juicer I own. More mixing bowls then You would need for a group of 15. Convection oven, wusthof knives and alclad pans. All very high end. The bedrooms are very comfortable with quality linens and mattresses. Wonderful furniture decorates the rooms. Loved the bathroom! Looks like it belongs in a 5 star hotel. The yard is huge and you can sit on the front porch and watch the deer graze on the yard in the morning or late evening or bbq in the back. The ONLY drawback about the house is the section of tv channels. Very basic cable with no national news. That’s the only thing I would change with this home. Thank you for a wonderful stay Laura! We will be back!

Great stay on Shelter Island

Just returned from 2 weeks on Shelter Island in Laura's home. Her house had plenty of space for my family of 4 and we rented the back cottage for one week and had two family members join us. My daughter loved the huge backyard, especially the tree swing. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and huge tv in the living room was a lot of fun. Laura was a teriffic host and very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect Shelter Island home base for a family!

Stayed for a week and loved this home. Beautifully kept, everything you need inside and out (including a huge yard that our kids loved running around in), and just a short drive from all the beaches, restaurants and attractions that Shelter Island has to offer. Laura was very welcoming when we got there and responded within moments anytime I reached out with a question throughout the week. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again when we visit next time.

Exceptional home wiith a lot of character on lovely island

This home on shelter island is a beautiful oasis, with plenty of room to move around. Lovely green space outside and the house sits back from the road. This home has spacious bedrooms with very nice beds. When I say this house has everything you need, it truly does,and the owner has ensured that the natural charm of this shelter island home has been preserved, while ensuring it is very updated inside. The heated floors in the bathroom, and the wood burning fireplace was exceptional, right along with the soaking tub and rain shower. This is a perfect home for a group or a family, with plenty of board games and books awaiting you. Race to the Ferry to enjoy this lovely home and this lovely Island. This house sits right between the south and north ferry, and you can walk to the grocery store on the island. I am already making plans to return again .
