TOTALEMENT PRIVÉ !!! Notre parcelle de terrain de 85 acres située dans le nord du comté de Dutchess offre une variété de terrains à explorer - bois, ruisseaux, prairies et même une gorge.

La cabane en rondins, au bord de notre lac privé de trois acres et demi, est la seule habitation sur le lac. Le voisin le plus proche est à environ 1/4 de mile.

Une grande cheminée en pierre et une baie vitrée donnant sur le lac sont les caractéristiques spéciales de la cabine ainsi que le porche couvert avec chaises suspendues et canapé et chaises en séquoia. Dormez sur un canapé-lit queen dans notre grand salon. Il y a aussi des chaises et des hamacs suspendus à l'extérieur d'un certain nombre d'arbres.

La cuisine en plein air est agréable avec votre choix d'un gril à gaz ou d'un barbecue au charbon de bois, et les repas se font sur une grande table de pique-nique assise sur un patio en pierre des champs ou sur une table de pique-nique au quai. Vous pouvez également dîner à l'intérieur devant la fenêtre d'image, si vous préférez. Un jardin d'herbes aromatiques (en saison) offre un choix de 12 herbes différentes à utiliser dans votre cuisine!

L'éclairage extérieur est vaste si vous le souhaitez. Nous préférons que les étoiles et le clair de lune se reflètent sur le lac!

Lovely serenity

This is a great property that is well kept with trails to hike, stars at night, a pond to hear frogs and tons of dragonflies and fireflies. It’s stuff made up of a place you would see on TV. Lots of hammocks and chairs around and my favorite place was the deck overlooking the pond - especially at night.

Hudson Valley Cabin

Wonderful! Very clean - What a special place, great "spirit" - close to the FDR Presidential Library, Taconic Distillary, the Back Beer Garden and the Cabin (tavern)! Awesome for a couple, relax, swim, fish - no neighbors! Lotsa Bass for the catching!

Love this cabin

The cabin is really cute & has wind chimes & garden art all around it that integrates so perfectly with the natural oasis it is set in. This is a great place for a nature loving couple to enjoy. Singing birds, frogs, turtles chipmunks & fish in the lake, are the only neighbors you will notice o this beautiful property. Karen is a lovely gracious host and both she and the cabin are very welcoming & charming. Its a perfect spot go to with your soulmate & reconnect with nature.

Breath of fresh air

We love the place it was even more beautiful and peaceful than we expected .It was home away from home with the most gorgeous view . Ms.Karen was wonderful very welcoming . It was all my partner and I need to get away from stressful week . Thanks again Ms.Karen and p.s we love the ice cream Sunday . We are not only highly recommended but soon we will be back . Little Slice of Paradise

Talk about cozy, this place tops them all! Time seems to slow down when you are staying in this well appointed cabin. We loved sitting in the rocking chair inside or the one on the porch overlooking the pond. Hiking trails are well marked leading from the cabin and the bird watching over the pond was great. You are very much to yourselves while staying here as it is very rural. And, the bed was fantastic!

Weekend Escape

We are relatively local - Cold Spring and Beacon. But we felt like we were worlds away! The cabin was quintessential and super cozy, and the property was a quick skip to all the local attractions. Karen was absolutely lovely - ice cream sundaes were a very sweet treat. We were wanting to just be with each other and unplug, and this weekend delivered on that. Would love to visit again in the fall.

Peace, love & fish!

The owner, Karen, showed she was an amazing host before we even arrived !! She left us two ice cream sundaes in the freezer and gave us a tour of the property. It was so cool to visit a place that has been having guests for the last 20+ years.... The cabin is so peaceful...the property truly is away from the world. There were plenty of kitchen utensils, towels, blankets etc to use. This place is great for walking/hikes, fishing off the dock or the row boat. We fished the entire weekend and caught over 100 fish between the two of us!! We fell asleep to the crickets and bull frogs and woke up to the birds chirping.We took advantage of the fireplace all weekend, super easy to use and they even gave us a free basket of wood! We truly couldn't have asked for a better weekend, cabin or host. We will most certainly be visiting again.

Lovely Secluded Stay

My partner and I spent time at Karen's property for our 6 year anniversary and it was everything we wanted it to be. Quiet, quaint and a breathe of fresh air from the busy Brooklyn life. Karen was warm, welcoming and walked us through everything we would possibly need for our stay. Highly recommend staying here for a getaway from the city!

Magic pure magic

There aren't enough words to describe the peacefulness and serenity this cabin brings. It's a magical place, especially for couples who need slow down and reconnect. Karen is an amazing host and the cabin is a romantic retreat. The property is gorgeous. We enjoyed the wind chimes, laying in the hammock by the lake, taking the row boat out on the lake, and hiking the trails. We even used some of the herbs from the herb garden for our dinner. But the best part hands down is the fireplace... we don't even want to leave the cabin when we're there. This was our 3rd trip in a year and we are already planning our 4th! You need this.... trust me.

An absolutely lovely escape from reality

We had a wonderful time in this charming cabin that is every bit as quiet and peaceful as advertised. The grounds are positively lovely. The hammocks, rowboat to explore the lake, and the blissfully shady porch to look out at the lake and enjoy the sounds of nature (which we seldom get to hear as city people) were all extensively used by us. The cabin would be absolutely perfect if it had an oven (for baking on rainy days -- it does have an electric stove and otherwise very well-stocked kitchen), a larger and more modern TV for the night-time, and in my opinion, a more comfortable bed to sleep on, though that's subjective. I'm giving it top marks anyway because we had a wonderful week that we won't soon forget and got to relax and unwind more here than any other vacation we've ever taken. Karen is a lovely host and she left us delicious ice cream sundaes!

Nice rustic getaway

My wife and I stayed here for a week in July. We met the host Karen at her house which sits maybe 1/4 mile down the road from the cabin. She was very nice and took time to show us around the rental cabin which was very private and right at the lakefront. We enjoyed the rope hammock swings on the front porch while looking out onto the lake. Fishing was great both from the dock and from the rowboat. Plenty of seats and hammocks scattered around the property. The cabin was well stocked with all the necessities. Overall we really enjoyed out stay and Karen was great. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Relaxing Retreat

Run don’t walk to this beautiful cabin by a lake. We just had the best time and couldn’t have been happier with the property. Swimming, boating, hiking, cooking and relaxing….
