1 The birthday party was at a completely separate residence next door on 2.5 acres. That party in no way affected renters. 2. Our daughter, without our permission, knocked on the door and asked if it was ok to grab something from her room. She said she totally understood if that was not ok. One of the guests told her, no problem. 3. My husband made an error in judgement, wanting to grab his sneakers that he forgot so he could go on a Father's Day hike with our son. He knocked several times and called out loudly before entering the residence. He apologized to the guest who was not scared or visibly upset. She actually told him no problem, as well. To be clear, going inside the residence during a guest's stay is not acceptable and he apologized profusely. 4. We let our guests know that if they are not dog lovers to please let us know and we will not let our certified therapy dog roam freely. 5. Our refrigerator is huge. We leave condiments on the door and 1 shelf of 3 shelves has other food items. Danielle and her guests spoke with us several times about how happy they were with their stay, even at check out. Danielle did not indicate any dissatisfaction until days after checking out and threatening me with leaving a bad review if I didn't give her a full refund. Had Danielle talked with us or even messaged me while at our home, we would have been happy to work with her regarding any dissatisfaction. We are also clear that sometimes we stay in the second floor apartment above our garage when we have renters. This is a completely separate building. Again, this really does not infringe on the abundant privacy that is afforded to guests who would like private outdoor space. We have a very large back deck and yard. I guess future guests will have to consider the satisfaction that so many of our guests have expressed while staying at our home.
