Lake Erie Beachfront Appartement avec plage qui ne se termine pas.

Cet appartement Light on the Lake Beachcomber ouvre directement sur certaines des plages les plus profondes, à environ 50 mètres, dans toute la région d'Érié. L'appartement dispose d'un salon spacieux et d'une cuisine. L'appartement est au niveau inférieur de notre maison.

La terrasse surplombant la plage dispose de sa propre table à manger avec des chaises longues. La propriété comprend un phare de 30 pieds de haut (non disponible pour les invités). C'est une construction moderne mais pas à des fins de navigation.

Plusieurs concessions de bateaux de pêche affrétés sont à côté, à la marina du nord-est. La marina comprend un restaurant, si personne ne veut cuisiner. Une cave est à moins d'un kilomètre et d'autres sont faciles à conduire. Des routes très plates permettent de faire du vélo facilement.

Perfect, Quiet Place to Stay

We had a great stay. Location on the private beach was great for kids. Accommodations were more than adequate and hosts were very friendly. Quiet neighborhood and quick access to wineries and town to get anything we needed. Overall great experience!

Girls' trip

Great place to stay if you're a beach lover. We stayed here 4 years ago and loved it again. Unfortunately there was so much algae in the lake we couldn't swim but the walks were still amazing! Easy contact with the hosts and Marcia suggested a beach just a mile or so down the way that we could swim at. Would stay at again.

Family trip to North East

This is the second summer we have stayed with Marcia and Dennis in their lovely lakefront property. We enjoyed the very private beach, fire pits at night, and falling asleep to the sound of waves. Marcia and Dennis are extremely kind and welcoming yet respectful of their guests privacy.

Beautiful views, nicely appointed, very clean, comfortable and spacious. Gorgeous private deck. Beach was pretty but rocky and had a lot of woody debris and some algae. Very private. WiFi was spotty- only an issue if you are trying to work. Nearby library was terrific for this purpose. Shower was hot and clean. Dishwasher and washer/dryer were great.

Amazing location and property

Our trip had a last minute change and we were able to find this amazing place! Right on the lake, amazing view and very peaceful! I highly recommend this place! It was perfect! We were able to go out and do tourist stuff and then come back and enjoy some solitude which was much needee! The couple that owns this place were very welcoming and accommodating! Lovely people!

Perfect Mixture of Peace and Excitement

This property was the perfect place to spend a family vacation. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the place. If you want to add in some exciting fun with different activities, again, this is the place. There are lots of things to do without having to travel far. Our hosts were more than accommodating and very kind. Definitely recommend! Thank you Marcia and Dennis for sharing your home with us! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Disappointed

Overall not impressed. I will give credit where credit is due , the view is awesome. The downside is that there is dead fish everywhere and the smell is aweful. The beach is extremely rocky so definitely bring water shoes. The outside porch had spiders and cobwebs all over it. (Disgusting) The landscaping is overgrown and the decor is from 1970. Bring your VHS tapes because it does offer a vcr and a 20" tv. We left the house cleaner than we found it and a week later we were deducted funds because of not cleaning to their specifications. We had family over from Spain and the first question their 4 year old asked was "Do all beaches smell like dead fish and sewer water?" You get what you pay for . Very nice people.

We are truly sorry that this family was unhappy with the accommodations. The occasional presence of dead fish or algae is a part of Lake Erie and many other lakes. It is not a predominant occurrence here by any means. Nonetheless, we wish they would have spoken to us about their dissatisfaction. We remove spider webs from the deck areas prior to guests' arrivals, but the spiders do come back, sometimes quickly. We limit our use of chemicals on the property, especially when guests are present. We provide an outside broom for the guests to use in cleaning the decks during their stay, rather than encroaching in their space outside their room windows to remove a recurring spider web. The guest apparently failed to note that TV system has both a videotape and DVD player, and that we have a limited number of DVDs and videotapes available. In this case, we withheld a small amount of the cleaning deposit because the oral and written cleaning instructions were simply not followed. We have dozens of guests in the apartment each year, and most seem very pleased.

My new husband and I enjoyed our stay so much at this place! It was right along the lake and was in walking/driving distance to so many attractions! Marcia was even kind enough to bring us some champagne and chocolates with being on our honey moon! We will most definitely be coming back!

Restful Multi-Generational Family Getaway

Our visit to the lake house was very relaxing. The property was in a serene little area with a lovely vista and no other traffic. It was pretty and well-equipped. We lacked nothing. While I wasn't sure what to expect being next door to the marina, there was very little activity that reached us, and it was relaxing and interesting to watch the fishing boats as they came and went at a distance. The water was nice and the beach was clean and accommodating for three 13-year old girls and their floats to hang out and play. The marina wall made a nice barrier so that supervising them was easy. The fire pit area was quaint and comfortable as well. Marcia and Dennis were close but didn't interfere at all with any of our activities or lack thereof. Note of interest: the Marina restaurant was very tasty but plan to pay at least $20 per person. Many nearby non-chain restaurants are closed on Mondays and sometimes Tuesdays. Our only cons were that the wi-fi was a bit spotty and probably needs a booster (so didn't get to log in to check in on work) and that we didn't take more days off work and book a longer stay.

North East vaca

Had a wonderful time. Weather was beautiful. Hosts were very nice. Close enough to everything but still was far from crowds. Very private, very clean, very quiet.

We are retired engineer and teacher, active in our faith and church. We have two adult sons but no grandchildren yet. Dennis grew up in the St. Louis area, and Marcia grew up outside of New Haven, Connecticut. We met in college and have been happily married for more than 50 years!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We were actually just looking for a place near the water after retirement. We loved the house and location, and the previous owners had begun the apartment rental and bed n breakfast, and had some commitments already for the coming season. So we decided to give it a try, and it has been a nice fit for us.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our guests have the opportunity to relax in chairs on the decks, beach, or walk as far as they want in either direction. When the weather allows, guests are welcome to have evening beach fires in our fire ring. We have the marshmallow sticks! A pleasant summer evening at the fire and under the stars is a real treat. The living room and both bedrooms feature windows with views of the beach and Lake Erie. If you want to take a day trip, Niagara Falls is 90 minutes away. Buffalo, with two Frank Lloyd Wright sites, is 60 miles or so east. Wineries are as close as a quarter mile down the road, with many more within 10 miles or so.
