OCEANSIDE Salvo - Rampart St. Vous voudrez "rester" à SURF DOGS, avec une grande salle spacieuse avec des plafonds cathédrale, un sol en carrelage et un salon avec une grande télévision à écran plat / DVD avec son surround. La cuisine moderne et attrayante a beaucoup d'espace de comptoir pour la préparation des repas et l'organisation des repas sous forme de buffet. Asseyez-vous au bar du petit-déjeuner ou à la table à manger à proximité. Asseyez-vous avec un bon livre sur la terrasse ombragée du premier niveau ou détendez-vous dans le bain à remous après une journée de jeu dans les vagues. Il y a deux chambres au premier niveau, dont une chambre lit king-size avec douche à l'italienne et deux autres chambres lits queen-size à l'étage. Une salle de jeux avec table de billard, baby-foot et télévision / DVD est située au deuxième niveau avec vue sur la grande salle et accès au deuxième niveau avec terrasse au bord de l’océan. La plage est à quelques pas dans une rue calme. Rassemblez la famille sur l'île d'Hatteras cette année et n'oubliez pas d'apporter vos chiens de surf.

Nice stay in Salvo

The house was spacious, location was good. The beach access at the end of our street was a little difficult with our two year old. I would suggest getting the early check-in... we did not do this and found the 4-6pm check in to make for a really long day after our drive. Overall a great stay!

Disappointed rental with VRBO

The house was listed as being handicapped “friendly” but the ramp proved to be much too hard and long to maneuver. My son actually toppled his wheelchair going over a bump in the construction and scraped his arm. Thankfully he didn’t land on his head! The house appeared to have not been cleaned at all and it took an extra day to get new bedding in order to use the bed at all. The vacation was wonderful but the house etc very disappointing and misleading as far as quality, accessibility, and location.

We manage a selection of handicap-friendly homes that are advertised to include a roll-in shower, an elevator, a ramp for entry if the elevator does not go to the ground, and doors wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

When we arrived, it was 90+ in the house and this was 6 PM. Tried to contact someone which they did have window units in, but they were not cooling at all. Talked with someone, but I am still waiting on them to call me back from the first night, it was a pet friendly house. I brought my dog with me and she kept bringing up food from somewhere. I have no clue where she got it from. It was so miserable we had to go get a hotel for that night. I went and talked with the realty company. The so-called manager come walking out. He was so rude. He does not need to be a manager because he does not know how to talk with customers. I have tried several times to get either a refund or a partial refund because we had to end up going and getting another house so I paid for two houses for my vacation, I will never ever rent from this company again And I will say they did bring a portable air condition in the house. I was there waiting on them when they got there. They said they would be there between eight and 830. They showed up at 11. They put a portable unit in the upstairs door that is like a fire hazard in my eyes that have been a fire upstairs we would never have gotten out and also in this house they had windows taped up, so y'all go figure how y'all would feel.

Lots to do!

The house was clean and nice. We loved the pool and foos ball tables and the hot tub was a real hit with our boys. The house set up was a little different in that the master bath is the only shower and the bath upstairs only has a tub. We worked around all of this though and our boys used the outside shower alot. Only downside was we only had 3 chair cushions for outdoor seating and this made the other chairs unusable. The beach was great and not too crowded. Very family friendly. We rented bikes and a kayak and it was great. They delivered and picked up and it was very convenient. Lots to do in the area too. We highly recommend Orange Blossom Cafe (for Apple Uglies) in Avon and fishing with Captain John out of Hatteras too! Boys caught a stingray and he taught them to find clams which led to an awesome family Clam boil/grill!

Beach house that’s far from the beach

House is nice, spacious and has pool table, football table, hot tub. It’s a bit weird designed. Master bathroom on the first floor has 2 shared showers and there is a summer shower under the deck. Second bathroom has a jacuzzi tub, not very convenient for a beach vacation when everyone has to shower after the beach. Grill outside has no light at night and accessibility deck makes it long to walk to and from the grill on the complete darkness. Some lights weren’t working in the house . The worst part is that beach was not easily accessible! It’s a 12 min walk to the beach, between 2 properties that’s very narrow and steep. We ended up using public beach access that has a ramp to the beach but that wasn’t ideal since we had to drive to the beach access, drop out belongings and then turn back and park the car about 3 min walking away from the beach access. Defines the purpose of having a beach house when the extra work needs to be done. Location in Salvo is pretty private and beach felt very private comparing to Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head.

Beautiful house

Wonderful house with all the amenities you’d want. Very close to the beach, nice layout of the home. Though we had issues with the AC and hot tub, they were promptly fixed when we inquired about them. Overall, wonderful stay in salvo.

Beach House in at Hatteras

Property management was not responsive to two issues. They were polite on the phone, but no one addressed them. The house was also set up for someone with disabilities which was not a problem, but it would have been nice to know this - for example the outside shower was low, so we had to bend over to use it. Also, we were told when booking that the beach was a block away and it was actually half a mile.

Close to the beach but outdated

We stayed here in May-June 2020. The house was huge, so much room for just the two of us. The balconies were a nice addition, and you could hear the ocean from them. The house itself was clean, which was a super big deal to us because of the pandemic. However, the house was very outdated. The decor was from the 1990’s, but if you like that retro vibe, then you’ll love this house. The hot tub was very nice, but we didn’t get to enjoy it much becaUe it rained and the ceiling of the balcony leaked super badly. The location was nice and we were able to ride our bikes to a few places. The upstairs tub is a nice addition, but it didn’t run enough hot water to actually enjoy it. The beds were all extremely uncomfortable, but the sofas were very comfortable. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Chandler's needed dusted, washer and dryer needs updated (loud). There was dog urine stain on the wall.
