This is our second time staying at this property and I absolutely love the location. Itâs close enough to attractions but far enough you get peace and quiet. We will be coming back for sure!
Nice place in a very secluded location in the woods. Well-equipped for the stay. Access to the property is on some backroads - this may put some people off, but we thought it was great. A little dated, but everything works. Centrally located for many Black Hills attractions.
Place could have been cleaner, found a quarter sized spider in the bathtub half way through my shower! All around the house is outdated and smells as such. Donât rent if you have asthma! A bit overpriced for its location and age
Serene and super comfy! Centrally located to all the wonderful Black Hills attractions. The drive up to the cabin is a bit secluded, but the location is so worth it! A few minor updates needed, but otherwise a welcome home base for our trip. We loved the comfy couches and chairs in the living room. The hot water had a tendency to be super hot, but would run out too soon while showering - might be due to the super forceful water pressure. The bed we slept in was super bouncy, so slight movements felt like a ship tossed on rough seas. Everything else was as promised. The house was well stocked with towels and kitchen supplies. Plenty of games and puzzles to occupy us during our stay. We would definitely stay here again, especially if the mattresses were updated.
The house was great! It is dated, so if you are looking for technology and new tile this is not your place. It was amazingly clean! Impressed with the cleanliness of this old home. It was comfortable and perfect for our crew. Quiet& peaceful. The staff was kind and accommodating. FYI, it does NOT have CAC. Which I was unaware of. Living in FL, I assume everyone has CAC. In August the temperature at night was 68; which made sleeping comfortable. There is a AC unit in living space. Living space had great comfy recliners, also a couches. I was very pleased at the kitchen stock! Crockpot, pans, broiling pans all there! They even had coffee, sugar, plenty of towels and toilet paper! It was a win for us. Thank you Julie and crew!
A very clean and comfortable cabin in the woods. A great central location for all that the Black hills have to offer. Located very close to lake Pactola with excellent fishing and a swim beach. I would most definitely stay here again.
Wonderful house for the two - mom and son for 3 days. Enjoyed the screened in patio and closeness to lake for fishing. One recommendation would be to please get new mattresses. Very lumpy and squeaky. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Really enjoyed the deck. Especially in the evenings. There was a tub but no plug for the drain. Couldnât get it to work. Tub very slippery with no safety precautions for slipping and no grab bars. We are in our seventies and would have liked a safer showering experience. Otherwise a good experience.
The cabin was awesome. Clean, quiet, and way off the beaten path, if you don't mind a couple miles of gravel, but the road was pretty well maintained. Would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in the Black Hills.
This cabin was a perfect location for our family to explore the attractions that South Dakota offered. Didnât realize at first the location was part way up a âmountâ however it added to the charm. The only downside we had were the beds in both bedrooms. They were both rather firm and after walking/exploring it was very difficult to get comfortable. But would definitely come back again.
