It is as advertised...great location and the locals are very nice and the best part of our stay were the Neighborhood dogs that would check in on us occasionally....very friendly
So didnât stay in this particular house but wanted to share my experience, we got to this cabin (which is still amazing btw) but discovered it didnât have WiFi which for most is great but we have two small children so that was nerve racking, called Julie and she was so understanding and moved us to a different location which was also incredible and she did that at no extra charge, just out of kindness. I HIGHLY suggest staying in any of the houses Julie manages and we will def be staying with her again in the future.
The property was beautiful. A bit farther up a dirt road than I would have liked but once you were there it was incredible. The beds were a bit hard for my liking but I believe can easily be resolved with a mattress topper. Place was clean and they provided the essentials for our needs while there. Sadly our trip was cut short because our dog passed away and we had to rush home. If you want a peaceful location away from it all, you can't go wrong with this property.
If you're looking for a cozy cabin in the woods, this is perfect. We did make a point to arrive back to the cabin each day before dark because it's not easy to get to.
We fished early every morning and spent the afternoons relaxing on the porch and grilling, the cabin was a perfect cozy getaway. Thanks for the hospitality!
My family and I loved staying in this cozy, peaceful cabin on Swiss Drive! The location is perfect and near so many amazing attractions. It is right in the heart of the Black Hills forest.
The house is spacious, clean, and has everythjng you need to spend much of your time there. We loved sitting out on the porch for our meals as well as enjoying the beautiful sunrise.
The host was so friendly, hospitable, and communicated efficiently. We would recommend and return to tbis location if in the area again!
Cabin very comfy but drive to the cabin was not for us. Roads too narrow, pinhook curves. Takes 25 min to drive 3 miles on gravel road. Thank you Julie for putting the light on for us
We loved staying at the cabin. It was a very remote area which we loved after spending the day touring sites. We enjoyed grilling and relaxing on the deck after a busy day. My daughter enjoyed hiking around the cabin in the morning and two lakes are located near the cabin as well which was amazing for picnics!
The property is nice, but could use some updates - new coffee pot (took over 45 minutes to brew a pot), dishwasher (none currently in cabin), televisions (small/older models and some cables were broken), curtain rods fell when adjusting curtains. All in all the cabin is cozy and rustic and we enjoyed our time there. The suggested updates would only make the property more inviting/comfortable in our opinion.
Great for all the attractions that we wanted to see. Host was very pleasant to work with. We had great weather and a nice friendly dog came to visit on the deck.
It was a comfortable cabin for our family. Do not attempt to find it at night in the rain! Adequate for our needs but there were not many drinking glasses. Plates were chipped and it definitely could use a resupply. A trip to Goodwill would remedy the situation. This was our first stay at a VRBO but we did expect a small supply of salt, pepper and sugar in individual packets. There were none.
There were six of us and there was enough room for privacy and comfort. We did not miss internet or television. We brought our own games. We do not consider it remote when you are next to a road and you can see neighborâs houses.
