We were in town for our child's graduation from college and had a great stay at this property. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The owners were very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
This property has many beds, all the amenities, and is easy to find. Very comfortable. We had 80+ grandparents with us, and they enjoyed how there are few stairs.
As a family of five, we had plenty of room to spread out. The older kids walked to the main square on their own. Convenient location to Palo Duro Canyon - we went every day of our visit! The museum at West Texas A&M is a great stop also. We look forward to coming back.
Place was great and had plenty of beds for all of us. Quick drive for the college graduation. Popcorn Co was cool! We got several different kinds of popcorn. Thank so much!
We stayed at 300 House recently when visiting Canyon for my great auntâs birthday party.
Loved the location â convenient to everything we needed. The house was spacious to accommodate my parents and adult siblings. Even large enough to welcome out-of-town family for a brief visit right before the birthday party. Staying at the house gave us the opportunity to be together instead of having to visit from room to room in a hotel. It was nice having a kitchen as well. The 300 House is older, but clean and charming. It inspired all kinds of questions about its history and previous residents. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
As promised this home was perfect for my stay. I had plenty of room to spread out, do my work, and relax. I spent hours trying to decide how the "original" home was laid out. I am still not sure. And that, I LOVE. A rambler with space for many people. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Peaceful.
We had Six people in our party. The house had plenty of beds. Know ahead of time that the property is a 100 year house! So it has its creaks and quirks accordingly. We cooked large breakfast every morning and the kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. The rest of the time we were out in the canyon or on a lake. If you understand the age of property you are signing up for this house will accommodate you well.
We really enjoyed our visit! Susan was very responsive and provided wonderful information leading to an enjoyable stay. This house is roomy, clean, and comfortable. We loved being in town for the evenings, but only 15 minutes away from Palo Duro State Park where we hiked and explored God's beautiful scenery. It is also minutes from Amarillo where we visited the Cadillac Ranch, The Big Texas Steak Ranch, and Jack Sisemore Traveland's RV Museum. The house included a full size washer and dryer which lessened the need to pack for the whole week. For the 4th of July, Canyon celebrates well, and we took front row seat to the festivities by walking only a block from the house! Thank you, Canyon TX, for honoring your military and first responder heroes! Quickly, we fell in love with this little town, the beautiful canyon, and it all became possible because of our "home away from home", The 300 House!
The house was super convenient. We walked to the coffee shop everydayâŠ.. a few times đ Multiple options for eating close too. The house held lots of bike racers and Palo Duro was a quick 15min drive- Walmart right on the way to grab what we forgot!!!
We have stayed at this property many times and love being close to the square and the University. Itâs cozy but yet everyone can spread out and have room to relax. The host is amazing and are always quick to respond with any questions or needs we would have.
Cute updated vintage home. Very clean. Lots of beds. Fun kitchen. Cookware not adequate for us. Enjoyed our stay very much. Close to downtown and not real far from Palo Duro Canyon.
This place was so quirky and cute, yet had all the modern conveniences! I think it may be the cleanest place weâve ever stayed. Bed was comfy and it was so quiet. We would definitely stay there again.
Engineering Consultant & Biology Professor with too many hobbies to list. We work and play hard, and enjoy travel, adventures, and rehabbing old houses and antiques.
Clean and comfortable with easy access walking or driving to most parts of Canyon, which is a quaint, charming town full of friendly people. Yes, the 300 will always be an old rambling house, but it is perfect for families and small groups to enjoy our area.
One block away from Canyon's quaint downtown shops and eateries, along with the Canyon Library, Fire Department, and Police Station, in addition to most of the area churches.
