Nice little cabin with a view of the mountains, amazing sunsets and night sky viewing. The perfect place to relax and enjoy nature but also close to nice restaurants and lots to do during the day.
Long weekend close to Catoctin National Park and Wildlife Preserve
Great little cabin that easily accommodated our family of 5 for a long weekend. This cabin was well appointed, and even had enough hooks to hang towels after showers - my biggest pet peeve in a short term rental! The little window unit in the loft worked hard, but it did its job keeping that sleeping area cool and comfortable. The grounds had been recently mowed, which was made exploring the grounds around the cabin fun for my boys. The roads and driveway were not uncomfortably steep for our minivan. We truly enjoyed our weekend and wished we'd left a little more time to actually explore boonesboro more!
Another wonderful stay for my family at this charming cabin in the woods. The host is terrific, the house is cozy and comfortable, and the kitchen is well-stocked. This is the perfect place to get away, enjoy nature, and spend time together. Thank you!
As all of the reviews confirm, the cabin and location are perfect for an escape from the daily grind. My family loves coming here to unplug and we are grateful for Mikeâs hospitality!
The cabin is the perfect size for a family of 5. Great outdoor scenery. The sunset from the porch of the house on the top of the property was especially great. It was also close to multiple state parks. Plenty to do for a fun getaway.
Nice rustic house. Kitchen is well stocked. Great little cabin for. Couples retreat. Fairly isolated but still not far from town. Nights with a fire outside are beautiful..
Perfect for viewing the Sunset with a view of the mountains. Large property with plenty of outdoor space and firepit. Lots of hiking and outdoor activities nearby.
This property is located close to many attractions but is tucked away. The house itself was cute, well maintained and as shown in the listing photos. Michael was very responsive and a great host!
The home was very comfortable and inviting; everything you need. The grounds were so pretty and the view from the top of the property for sun sets was beautiful. Very nice fire pit area as well. Very close to the VA boarder for rafting and other water activities. We had a wonderful time.
Fantastic, secluded location just a short drive from Frederick MD where there are cute shops and great restaurants. The house itself is so cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway. Michael was incredibly communicative and accommodating too which made the weekend even better.
We love this place. This was our second visit and we can't wait to come back! The cabin is exactly the right mix of being rustic and secluded -- while also having all of the necessary creature comforts and not being too far from anything. Our kids had a wonderful time playing in the yard and lighting the bonfire, and it was easy to access several hiking trails nearby. This is a great find!
We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin. It was a perfect location to catch up with old friends from out of town. The sunset view from the top of the property is amazing! The kitchen was well furnished, and the fire pit was perfect for sâmores. Michael, the host, communicated effectively throughout the entire process. We would love to visit again in the future.
The cabin was wonderful as well as the location. The sleeping arrangements could have been better. The loft had very steep steps and my husband fell down a few up from the bottom. Clean and cozy cabin which we really enjoyed.
Mike's cabin was the perfect cozy mountain getaway. Exactly as appears in the photos, rustic and comfy and still very functional - all the amenities you need. The property is great with only a short walk to the Appalachian Trail. Walk or drive to the small town of Boonesboro, and easy 20 min drive to Harper's Ferry. Mike was super responsive and so welcoming. I wish we could have stayed longer!
This cabin was perfect for our trip exploring the South Mountain region of Maryland. It is located only a few miles from downtown Boonsboro, with access to restaurants and grocery stores. Yet it feels like it is miles away from civilization in the mountains, which was ideal for relaxing. The cabin itself was as advertised, and equipped with everything that we needed. The host was very easy to communicate with and provided us with recommendations about the area. Highly recommend if you are looking for a mountain getaway with a small group or family.
The location is a short distance to history, hiking, or biking. There is privacy and lots of space to roam on site, as well as the fire pit was a real plus for us. Downside, the inside furnishings, including towels, were more than past cozy rustic and should be replaced. All chairs and sofa very uncomfortable. Outdoors great, indoors, not so great.
My 17 yo son and I stayed for 2 nights during his spring break. We both love hiking, cabins, the forest, and exploring small towns. The lodge is soooo cozy and beautiful I didnât want to leave! Beautiful big stone fireplace but we didnt use it because was hot during our stay. My siblings came up 1 day and hiked with us, went to caverns, explored Boonsboro, and enjoyed the outdoor firepit together. Owner is wonderfully responsive. Made wonderful memories and I hope to come back again sometime!!
I am a native Floridian who relocated to DC over twenty years ago. I love this place which has been described as the "Greenest big city in the U.S." . I am an avid nature lover and savor living next to the Potomac River, also known as "the wildest urban river in the world." We live just minutes from Great Falls, with world class kayaking and ferocious rapids. When we are not enjoying city life in our Nation's Capitol, we relax at our mountain retreat an hour away in Boonsboro, MD. We enjoy welcoming guests from around the world into our homes and look forward to meeting you.
