Cette chambre premium a été améliorée depuis que ces photos ont été prises. Chambre a une entrée privée avec salle de bain privée et W / D inclus !. Seulement cinq minutes des belles plages de Casey Key et de Venise. Près de la vie nocturne de Sarasota, Siesta Key, Oscar Shear State Park, le golf, le canotage, Knights Trail, Historic Spanish Point, et bien plus encore! Situé dans un quartier sûr sécurisé haut de gamme avec accès à la ligne de bus, restaurants et centres commerciaux seulement un saut et un saut. TV écran plat HD, DVR, micro-ondes et cafetière, mini-frigo, internet haute vitesse et WiFi. Cet endroit a tout! Piscine et hamacs avec un jeu de fléchettes pour votre divertissement. Si votre cool le propriétaire peut même vous prendre pêche ou pour une excursion en bateau! J'ai deux grands chiens amicaux. Bubba et Tania. Ils aboient quand ils vous rencontrent parce qu'ils sont excités de rencontrer de nouveaux chiens et de nouvelles personnes. Très calme après une minute.

Nice location

Great location, swimming pool on property. Room could have been a little cleaner due to things left under the bed and used mug and utensils left in room but communication and access was great. Thank you Fred for a wonderful stay.

Location, price and accommodations were perfect

Fred couldn't have been more gracious to our 2 adult children and their pets. He took care of them and the dogs like his own and we'll be renting again.

Guest room with a pool!

Freds place was a great place for me while in town on business. The room is well appointed with a very comfortable bed and all the towels and pillows that you could need. It has a nice private access and nice parking. I would definitely stay here again!

Dog lovers delight.

This property is in an awesome neighborhood and perfect for our two miniature schnauzers. The host is 5 star guy and we enjoyed visiting with him in the pool area. We will be back as we loved the proximity to Nikomis Beach, Sarasota and Venice.

Great Place - Kind Owner

Needed a place to stay while everything else was closed and Fred came through. No complaints - great place for sleep, shower, and laundry. There is a nice pool in the back that I sadly wasn’t able to take advantage of, too.

Convenient and Pleasant

We were looking for a place to stay for 5 nights on a last-minute basis. This bedroom/private entrance and bath worked for us. The cost fit our budget and the registration was easy. The owner was easy to communicate with via VRBO email.

Nice place

This is a studio apartment, so nothing fancy, the pictures and description is accurate. the owner provides a coffee bar, great towels, laundry, grill, access to the pool... It has a very comfortable bed and super shower. It is dog friendly. The owner, Fred is very, very friendly and will help you with anything he can.

Older , smaller place off the beaten path.

Fred, the owner was very accommodating and was easy to communicate with. Accommodations could use some up dating, but were clean. Shower need to have a grab bar installed as tub floor is slick when wet.

Awesomeness

This was an amazing place. This host is super amazing. We had to cancel our original plans, and it was the best thing that could have happened. Place is like a mother suit (the room is off the host house) the host has two of the coolest dogs. It's about 8 miles from the beach. I highly recommend this spot to all people who have a happy spirit <3

Great spot!

This was a great spot. Exactly as listed in the posting. Perfect for a laid back couple or solo traveler. If you're more a high maintenance traveler, not the spot for you. While the room is completely private, it is a shared space. We loved having the opportunity to get to know the owner, Fred and his two dogs, as well as others who were visiting or lived nearby. It felt like we were part of the group instead of just visitors. Definitely fell in love with this place and will be back. Thank you again Fred for making our stay even better than we could have anticipated!

This property was listed as a condo. It is not. It was,at best,a motel room. I bought a small toaster oven so I could cook for the four days that I stayed there. The pictures on the site are misleading. The pool had leaves stuck to the sides around the top. He never brushed it. My unit had the only washer and dryer to be used by the host and other guests!!!

Host went above and beyond...

This was my 7th different location since evacuating from my unlivable home following Hurricane Ian in Florida. My car overheated enroute to check into this location, and I learned later I'd mistyped my email on the rez, so when I pulled off the road, I had no record of directions or any contact information in my email regarding my destination to notify my host about the reason for my delayed check in. . I wound up contacting the VRBO HELP BOT - who after 5 tries contacted host, Fred. Fred arrived @ the restaurant where I waited for a tow truck. He greeted me, offered genuine concern & consolation and took my cat and a few belongings back to my unit while I waited ( for another couple hours) for the tow truck. He also hooked me up with his neighbor, a master mechanic who diagnosed and fixed my car for a fraction of what I would have paid at the dealership! The unit was as described, pool very pleasant and the available green space enjoyable. Located within an upscale neighborhood, near busy US 41, it would be important to have a car to enjoy full access to many local venues, beach, etc. I felt blessed to have found this respite at Fred's place !

Host was unprofessional scary.

Host decided it was ok to move our personal belongings in the room we paid for, to use our personal beach towels to clean a mess on his boat that we had nothing to do with. Then Host decided another night at 8pm while we were in bed it was ok to walk in our room no knocking he said he didn’t know we were there, so not true he knew everything that happened there. He had to walk through 3 doors to get to the bedroom, the TV was on loud and washer and dryer were running. I was terrified. Yes my boyfriend confronted him said to not come in room again. He was defending me not trying to start a fight like Host insists. We decided that night we were leaving the next morning. This is when Fred decided to threaten us with the sheriff department. The pool was dirty used bandage on bottom for 3 days. He made his dogs get in pool physically putting them in when they clearly didn’t want to. I would seriously reconsider him a a host for your company. I will never use anything like this again. I expect to get a refund for the 3 days we were not there.

Not as planned ...

Unfortunately this stay didn’t turn out as plannned. We arrived at the house at the end of a long work day and were ready for a hot shower. The place was as expected, except for the bathroom. The tub was FULL of what appeared to be dog hair, as was the under side of the toilet. Quite unsettling, to say the least. We were desperate for a hot shower before grabbing a meal, so I attempted to clean out the tub. To add to our disappointment, the drain in the tub did not work, and it was impossible to stay. We notified the owner, who apologized, and agreed to address to drain issues (and cleanliness issue) that night. He sent us a video of the drain working (and his bare feet in the bathroom.) We then had to find a hotel that was pet friendly, (twice the cost of the vrbo room) and managed a shower and delivery for dinner. Not a good night. We decided we were not interested in going back to the house, and let the owner know the following day. NOW the really disappointing part ... because I was unaware of the cancellation policy, the owner determined he should keep over half of our payment because I didn’t free up the rooms online, although I had texted him to tell him we weren’t returning. Not to mention his calendar was wide open. It was an expensive lesson ($200) I will add, we have had great success with booking places on vrbo, and will continue to use the sight. Sadly in this case, it was not a good experience.

Unfortunately the above review is inaccurate. Yes, the drain was clogged and fixed within one hour. And the bathroom was inspected and found to be spotless as I have a maid service that cleans after every guest. This guest said they would be returning once the drain was fixed and did not notify us till the next day in the evening that their plans had changed. The drain has never been clogged before so this was certainly a surprise issue. We always make sure the room is neat and clean and assure all our guests of a pleasant stay.

JUST DON'T DO IT...

Monday-House unimpressive street view/ we were leary pulling in. Hubby looked at room, told Fred "not what we're used to". Dreary/dirty, have pics. Came from GA, TIRED! Had our own bedding. Told him "let you know tomorrow". That night realized 2 doors to rest of house with no slide bolts on our side. Tues showed him pics and explained fear of doors into our space . Annoyed he said to just leave a bad review. Tried to help him see from renter's point. He said he'd been in major accident and only this wk got back to work (12 hr days) in pain from many screws in foot/he showed us. He said a friend recently stayed OTHER rentable room in house and pointed out dirt. Cleaning lady fired. Given hard times and pain, we figured he just forgot 2 check our room. We took items in dresser/gave to him: mardi gras beads, change, sox. Took out trash & stayed. Weds. we asked if he wanted us to let his dogs out(separate potty area). "yes,pls". Hubby opened patio door/let dogs out noticed no h20/took h2o bowl from patio/got h2o/set inside door. shut door. Texted for vet referral as our dog had persistent diarrhea. Thurs= same- dogs out + h2o. Pool was filthy. Texted him to ask where chlorine was. Hubby started filter. Fred told where 2 find chlorine, Cleaned pool to HELP him out. . working long days, hurt to walk. Wouldn't even consider pool w/o cleaning 1st. Told him thurs pm dog had hookworm & we would pick up poop asap + dog on meds. He told us new renters coming Friday. I asked "any dogs?". (hookworm contagious) " NO. it's a single male". Friday..hubby going out to car met new people with DOG..introduced himself, told them best to potty dog out front as we had just found our dogs had hookworm. We left for dinner. New renter left facility. Came home from dinner/Fred blew up. We "forced his renters to leave because we told him OWNER's dogs had hookworm- Get out NOW". As we loaded car, overheard him tell lost renter "No, he doesn't live here"...X renter didn't know there were 2 rentable rooms- he thot our dogs were Fred's. Overheard him say "because there's a pet fee"..(so they hadn't told him about dog) & that we were "renters from Hell/ because we gave his dogs h2o/ cleaned his pool & we were "psychotic" due to worry about doors/stuff in drawers/ & garbage.(uh...covid?!) Good reviews must be fishing buds. sent pics to vrbo. Premier HOST??? you decide.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

I stayed with Fred, Bubba, and Tania for four nights while visiting the Sarasota/Venice area to look at retirement properties. As a single, older female, I specifically wanted to stay in a private home (especially one with dogs) vs a hotel room. I got in a bit late and found Fred and the dogs out by the pool. They were very welcoming - Fred had a cooler full libations, so we had a few drinks and chatted for quite a while. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of towels and linens, a coffee bar, and some snacks. There was a washer and dry available but I didn’t need to use them during my short stay. I felt completely safe and comfortable during my stay and would definitely stay with Fred again!

My kind of host

The property was perfect for us clean and tidy and located in a safe area with a good restaurant,the waterfrontoo, within walking distance.Fred was a very attentive host and spent time chatting to us as we put the worlds to rights.Dogs are extremely docile and May lick you to death..Would certainly stay here again.

Convenient Stopping Point

Fred is a great host. Room was clean and comfortable. Lots of extra linens and toiletries available if you forgot yours. Washer and dryer in the room and ice machine on site. Coffee, tea and even Ramen. Location is great. Shopping, dining, but most importantly- the beach. Nokomis is a hidden gem. Shhhh...don't tell too many people. 😉 So much more to say, but I'll cut it short and say: Stay here, you won't be sorry. Thanks Fred, we look forward to seeing you soon.
