CALIFORNIA VACATION VILLAS VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT

This place is the perfect place to stay. You are right by the La Quinta Resort, but it's less expensive. It's our favorite annual vacation. Highly recommend!
Location was great, we love staying at La Quinta resort, this was our first time renting a condo, pretty cool.
I am a big time coffee drinker, first thing in the morning I attempted to make my coffee in the Keurig machine, & wah wah, it didnât work, wasnât happy. I reached out to property mgr, let him know & he had a new machine delivered pretty quick, great service!
Always enjoy staying at La Quinta. Had a nice relaxing stay as always.
I wiped up some water from the kitchen floor and the paper towel was black from dirt. Tile floors need to be mopped.
Spa villas at La Quinta are super. This particular spa villa, in spite of saying fully remodeled is in need of a good cleaning and some maintenance work. Bed and living room couch/chairs are new. But that is it. The caulking of the showers was partially complete, but pitiful. A kindergartner could caulk better than what was attempted. Still some mold. The kitchen counters were filthy, which lead me to believe that nothing had been cleaned. Hair in bathroom sinks, etc. Thank goodness that the porch and pool areas were clean. Have stayed in many spa villas over the years. This particular one needs some help!!!!
This is a stellar location for privacy and views. However, interaction with property manager was difficult and required numerous follow-up phone calls and emails. No where on website is it listed that one can no longer use La Quinta resort facilities such as driving range. The spa villas are a separate entity. Cleaning costs are exorbitant.
Newly renovated??? Not sure what this means to the owners but it is extremely dated and worn. Ants in kitchen and master bathroom. Not sure this was from previous occupants or not . However, the layout, and location are great and the place is very comfortable. Really want to give five stars but the ants and just worn out condo look doesnât allow me. Truth in advertising would be nice. Complaints from reviews 6-12 months ago still have not been fixed.
The historical La Quinta Resort is a beautiful property. The oldest buildings are named, dating back to the early days of the resort. I am bestowing the name "Villa Sin Mantenimiento" to this property based on our experience.
We read all the reviews for this property for the past two years and it was exactly as the reviews describe it.
There are tiny ants in the master bathroom. They crawled on the counter for our entire stay. Both of the master bath faucets and the kitchen sink leak from the handles when the water is turned on. While we're in the master bath, the lights haven't been dusted in a year or two and there are multiple handles missing from the cabinets.
The dishwasher in the kitchen blows soap suds all over the floor, which has resulted in permanent staining of the tile around the dishwasher and there have been water leaks from the unit above resulting in stains and cracked paint on the kitchen walls. The plantation shutters around the window are past the point of repair or replacement.
The private patio was clean. The cushions on the outdoor chairs were worn beyond the point of acceptable use, with holes in both side. The public patio had leaves and was unkept for the entire duration of our stay.
None of these items were a surprise or disappointment, as they were all disclosed in previous reviews.
What was a bit of a disappointment was the air conditioning could only be set to 73 degrees and was on a program that raised the temperature in the middle of the night. Woke up sweating to death and had to reset it every night. Keep the door from the master to the rest of the suite open for better airflow. My spouse said the bed was not great on her back, but I didn't have any issues. Weirdly, the bed is mounted to the wall using a french cleat that is loose.
The kitchen is well stocked with very serviceable cookware, dishes, and appliances that are appropriate. A nice adder is the dish towels, dish soap, garbage bags, etc...
After reading our experience, it's possible to come away with the impression that we did not enjoy our stay. Nothing could be further from the truth... We knew what to expect (minus the air conditioning) before we arrived and therefore no surprises.
We paid a fraction of the cost to stay at a hotel Spa Villa. Got the same property experience minus the spa, tennis, and main pool. Wouldn't pay full high season resort price for this unit, but definitely a value at a discount.
The location of this villa is excellent but the lighting and cleanliness leaves a little to be desired. On our first evening, we discovered dirty sheets and pillowcases for the pullout sofa. We had to wash them. Upon taking off the pillowcases, we also discovered the pillows were stained yellow. The next morning, we woke up to a flooded bathroom floor which was due to something in the air conditioning system. I must say the management did get a vendor out to us that same day, but the vendor also left us with the cleanup. Also, we were made to get rid of our trash and there was no available dumpster nearby. We had to walk to multiple trash cans to dispose of our trash. This was unexpected and extremely frustrating, as a guest on a vacation.
Please note, as a guest, you have to take care of all of your trash and extra food. You can not leave anything in the refrigerator. If you are flying, this is a problem.
Patio areas are dirty and feel unkept.
Other than those issues, the villa is nice.
We have stayed at the La Quinta resort many times and decided to try the VRBO version.
We will be going back to the resort for future bookings.
This property was perfect! The location is quiet (which we loved) but still walking distance to everything! We celebrated the fourth there and we will be planning on going back (if we can reserve this location) every year! I Also loved the touch map by the front door. That was extremely helpful! Amazing place
Great one bedroom with living room and full kitchen, very comfortable. Great location, easy walk to the hotel's restaurants and bars. Would be great to be able to pay a fee to access La Quinta Resort amenities (gym, pools, etc.)
Location of property was great. Quiet area of hotel property. Units was spacious and comfortably furnished,
Unfortunately the carpet in the bedroom was very dirty and spoiled the ambiance for us.
It had been mentioned in previous reviews that the carpet needed cleaning (actually replacement) and I assumed it would surely havre been addressed. This makes me hesitant to consider VRBO again. Had this situation occurred when we were hotel guests, I would have requested a different room.
We had a really nice stay. Very much as advertised. Please consider upgrading the pillows and replacing the dishes to have a full set. A few small tweaks could make the unit exceptional. We appreciated the good service and communication from the management team. The unit was nicely cleaned and we loved the quick pool access
We've stayed at this location before and used your services before. I'm very happy with the service the management company provides. We own a large vacation rental on the beach in Sayulita and recognize the work it takes to maintain a property. There were a few small things that would have made the experience excellent.
1. There's an any problem in the master bath, in particular the right sink as the ants seem to come out of the wall.
2. The faucets in the master bath are leaking at the counter juncture leading to excess water on the vanity.
3. We found the washer and dryer convenient but definitely time for an upgrade. Very harsh on clothing.
4. There should be more dresser storage in the master bedroom. I realize most stays may be 4 days or less but it makes longer stays difficult.
5. We appreciated the digital lock but did not like the no âdead boltâ option on the interior. Also, small children can easily open the entry door for a quick exit.
6. The KRUPS coffee maker is convenient but expensive and wasteful for longer stays. A traditional coffee maker option would be great.
7. The âlock offâ door to the upstairs unit is on the light side. We could clearly hear the guests and their small dog barked at the door when it heard us.
8. If the unit allows pets then a pet water and food bowl would be great, especially if there is a surcharge for pets.
Overall the property and experience were great and could be exceptional. We love the resort and the location.

Property was as expected. The villa is large with a full kitchen and eating area. It is close to a pool/jacuzzi which is shared with a small group of villas. We have stayed at this resort dozens of times before. We have booked through the hotel directly and done VRBO. The hotel gives you access to the gym, charging to the room and maid service. VRBO is typically less expensive, but it does lack these amenities/options. Our only complaint about this particular villa were the bugs we found in the master bath/bedroom. They looked like fleas/small ants. I have never had this issue during any of our prior stays at this resort (different villas).
Property was as advertised; spacious; pictures donât do it justice. Nice to have the small pool right there. We enjoyed our five nights in this quiet resort setting. Very basic but functional kitchen equipment (e.g. underwhelming serrated knives for cooking)
We had no reason to communicate with the property manager.
