This spacious, delightful cottage offers the perfect base for families or groups of friends with the dogs in tow seeking a peaceful getaway in beautiful Cumbria. Set in a quaint village near the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall, with the historic city of Carlisle just 4 miles away, there’s plenty of history and culture to be discovered from your door. The proximity to Hadrian's Wall beckons you to delve into the depths of Roman history, while leisurely strolls through the enchanting countryside provide a refreshing escape. The historic city of Carlisle boasts a castle, cathedral, and an abundance of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Enjoy a day at the vast boating lake and grounds of Talkin Tarn Country Park (7.5 miles) where you can try windsurfing, canoeing, or rowing, visit the tearoom and gift shop, or go for a woodland stroll. On a wet day with children, visit Walby Farm Park which is just 1.5 miles away and offers a great day out.
