Situated in the heart of the idyllic and much photographed village of Stanton, which sits on the Cotswold Way, below the wooded Cotswold Edge, Stanton is home to some of the prettiest Cotswold cottages, a medieval Parish Church, and a much-loved village pub, The Mount Inn, with fabulous far reaching views. The village of Stanton was once owned by King Henry VIII who bequeathed the village to his surviving wife Queen Katherine Parr, and her Manor House still stands, just along the road from Lindisfarne. Just a couple of miles away is beautiful Broadway, often referred to as ' The Jewel of the Cotswolds' and bursting with bespoke boutiques, antiques, fine art, tea shops, pubs and restaurants.

The village pub, The Mount Inn, is popular with villagers and those from much further afield. Be sure to book ahead and check opening times. For riders of all levels, horses can be hired at the renowned Jill Carenza Equestrian centre on the edge of the village. Located on the Cotswold Way, the village of Stanton is a delight for walkers and cyclists, with trails to suit all abilities running from the village. Stanway House and Fountain, around half an hour's stroll along the Cotswold Way, is home to an incredible, gravity fed water fountain that reaches over 300 feet, marking it as the tallest fountain in Britain; Stanway House its self is an awe inspiring Jacobean manor house that is dripping in grandeur and has been lived in by the same family since the 16th century, an excellent example of Cotswolds manor houses. Visit Broadway with its many pubs and restaurants along with a great delicatessen and Broadway Golf Club, which welcomes visitors is just three miles away. The small but busy town of Stow-on-the-Wold with a large selection of antique shops, gift shops, art galleries and traditional pubs is perfectly placed for many beautiful countryside walks and is 9 miles away. Cheltenham, boasting the popular Gold Cup in March is 11 miles away. Just over half an hour's drive away is the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon; sitting on the River Avon, Stratford is home to an abundance of half-timbered medieval buildings, quaint tea shops and is the famous home of William Shakespeare. Spend the day wandering around Shakespeare's Birthplace, enjoy a performance at the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre, or spend the day at the Butterfly Farm, which is home to hundreds of beautiful butterflies and two handsome lizards! Shopping and eating out options are in abundance here, with both familiar names and charming bespoke offerings. The Lenches Trout Fishery can be reached in under 20 minutes. Steam enthusiasts can board the Gloucester and Warwickshire Steam Railway at Toddington (three miles away); and mountain bikers have endless hilly trails to keep them busy. Dining area The kitchen leads into the contemporary dining area with a raised island style dining table and four plush bar stools. Drawing room Flooded with natural light, this elegant and tasteful room provides ample comfy seating to sit back and enjoy the feature wood-burning stove effect gas fire, set within a Cotswold stone surround, with a Smart TV to enjoy above. The room spills out to the stunning front gardens through beautiful oak-framed, leaded light french doors. The side garden is a tranquil and private haven, with a raised dry-stone wall border and paved area to enjoy al-fresco dining, leading around to a further separate sitting out area, so guests can follow the sunshine around the garden all day. Ample parking (much sought after in Stanton) on the private gated driveway.
