You will be staying in the historic commandery building, where windows in three directions ensure continuous light. A round arch connects the living and sleeping areas. Ecological building materials such as clay plaster create a pleasant indoor climate – with underfloor heating in winter and ceiling cooling in summer.
The rooms extend across the entire depth of the house: the living room, kitchen, dining room, and bedrooms form a clear axis. The living room can be separated by a door, turning it into a second bedroom. All rooms have a view of the commandery courtyard or St. Johannis Church.
A glass door leads from the dining room to your private seating area in the garden. From here, you can reach the inner courtyard and have direct access to the church and church square. The communal sauna in the vaulted cellar of the house can be used daily from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. without reservation. Additional time slots can be arranged individually.
The banks of the Elbe are nearby—perfect for picnics, sunbathing, or canoe trips with a rental canoe. The Elbe Cycle Route is ideal for cycling excursions. Café Lämpel offers homemade cakes, and the Salzkirche hosts concerts and exhibitions. Local organic boxes from Grünland deliver fresh vegetables directly to your apartment.
