Retraite parfaite pour le pêcheur, les plaisanciers ou tous ceux qui veulent profiter paisiblement de l'eau! Fantastique pêche au crabe et au large du tout nouveau quai de 34 pieds. Des pièges à crabe sont fournis! Plus de 400 pieds carrés de quai privé avec électricité. Plus de 600 pieds carrés de nouvelle terrasse couverte et ouverte au niveau principal de la maison. Entièrement aménagé sous la maison (sauf pour le stationnement couvert en béton. Nouveau parking en béton (suffisant pour 9 véhicules). La maison a été mise à jour avec de nouvelles fenêtres, des revêtements de lambris, des ventilateurs de plafond, des luminaires, une cuisinière, un chauffe-eau, de la peinture, etc. etc.

C'est l'escapade parfaite! Sur le Mississippi Sound avec une excellente pêche et les meilleures vues sur l'île. Cul-de-sac tranquille qui reçoit très peu de circulation dans la rue. C'est une propriété unique qui a des invités qui reviennent année après année.

Anniversary Getaway

We like to do something for our anniversary and both of us love to fish. So this makes a great place for us. It’s hard to find a rental for just two people. You can find expensive rentals for ten or twenty people all day long. This is another reason why we like staying here. And more than likely, we’ll be coming back.

This is our 2nd time staying at this property. Location is great. Fishing wasn’t as good this time but the crabbing was amazing. Mr Reeves is great to deal with.

Our stay

We enjoyed our stay. Location was great. Sunsets were amazing. Seeing dolphins right off the dock was wonderful. The neighbors were an added bonus.

It was awesome we had good weather while there the house had everything you needed and the neighbors were extremely friendly and fishing was decent and on nice street easy walk to beach if I had any recommendations it would be a fridge down in utility room area for storing fish

Great location. Plenty of fishing either on the Sound or the Gulf. Beautiful views and sunset. The home was clean and cozy. Very friendly area.

Great Place to get away from it all.

Just what we needed after a year of Covid. Cute little place with fantastic view. We didn't fish, but where visited by a pair of dolphins. Beds were comfortable and show great.

Second time at Fish Haven, enjoyed it again!

Fish Haven is a beautiful bayfront property that faces the Dauphin Island Bridge. Excellent for those interested in fishing and spending most of their time out on the dock or under the large deck watching their poles. The house is simple and clean. Everything worked in the house and we were satisfied with everything. Mr Reeves was very quick to communicate and help our stay be as lovely as possible. Was close to shops, beaches, ice cream parlors, the marina, and resteraunts.

Father and sons fishing trip

Wow, all I can say. I’d you’re looking for a fishing trip from the backyard this is it. My adult sons wanted to go catch a lot of saltwater fish. This place delivered big time. We probably caught 800 fish and 30-35 different species from tiny to 100lbs during our week stay. Housing and furnishing were adequate for our needs. Great trip!

Fun fishing

My husband and I rented strictly to fish, which we did. And caught numerous species. There were some electrical issues , but the owner fixed promptly. Very relaxing stay.

The owners were very nice and understandable, they did everything they could to make sure our trip turned out great. John communicated with me quickly and effectively. He was there to help if anything came up. Great customer service!!

Awesome house!! Amazing view!!

House was perfect for our family of 5!!! The owner John was so helpful and would answer back quickly. We caught a number of fish from trout, flounder, catfish but the best was a 30-40 pound red right off the dock!!! Kayaking was awesome and we could put in at the house. Neighbors were wonderful as well.

Nice fishing dock. Caught some red fish. Plug on wall by fridge does not work and light above sink not working. Be nice if TV in living room had Utube channel or a station with local stations. Plan on staying there again though. Overall great place to stay if you like to fish.

Best vacation of our lives...

After a long summer of recovery and rebuilding from the April 27th tornado, our stay at Fish Haven was just what we needed. The location is so beautiful and peaceful and the sunsets were breathtaking. We left the house briefly only 2 times in 5 days. We spent all our time relaxing on the deck or fishing on the dock. We've been visiting the Alabama coast for over forty years, and this trip was our favorite by far. Dauphin Island is a very special place and its so great not to be surrounded by high rise condos. All our future trips to the coast will definitely be spent at Fish Haven. Thanks John for a perfect vacation!

Pass on this place

Want to spend a week in a outdated home with multiple housing violations? How about having no working Wi-Fi, washing machine or range hood? Maybe you like the possibility of falling through the deck or being electrocuted with the outlets hanging out of the wall. If that’s the case this place is for you. Total slum lord of a daulphin island home…. Move on to any other location.

Old, rotten, and smells.

While the view from the back porch was great, the rotten deck boards and loose nails made walking around the deck troublesome. The house is old and needs updated. The furniture is old and dirty. The beds were old and not comfortable. One of them was an old box spring mattress and felt like you had a spring stabbing you in the back. Glad to be heading home.

The most relaxing vacation ever!

I can’t say enough about our host. When we arrived at the home, the inside temp of the home was 85 and 100 outside temp. After contacting John, he said he’d have someone there first thing in the morning and offered us several other options for homes on Dauphin Island. He said we could stay at one of the other ones for the night or for the rest of the week. He also left open the option to come back to the Port Royal house for fishing. We ended up staying at his home on Bridge view which sat on the bay and was one block from the beach. The home was larger than the Port Royal home and closer to the beach. So it worked at well for us. John called to let us know he was putting a new HVAC unit in Port Royal and we were again welcome to use either home. We couldn’t have been treated better. Thank you so much John!!

We have two daughters, Tommie and Rachael. Tommie is a Senior at Auburn University. Rachael got her degree from Samford and her Masters from Auburn University. Martha is retired from the Mobile County School System. John works in real estate and owns a sign shop as well.

Great view and fishing. Cul-de-sac location with little traffic. The perfect quiet getaway with the best view on the Island. Great Neighbors.
