Michael was a great host , quick to communicate , easy to deal with , willing to do anything to make the week great for our family reunion. He even ordered more Adirondack chairs for we had a large group. Stunning views , dock ( we rented boat for the week ) , fishing , swimming from the property , overall a great experience. We would return here again.
The house was set up great for a family (Grand Parents 3 children with their young families. All spent the majority of the time in the water, swimming, tubing, paddle boarding & kayaking. Having 2 kitchens on either end of the main floor was great. The view of the lake all the way through. The large deck all the way across the front of the main floor, with covered and uncovered space, had plenty of seating and got a lot of use. There were eagles, loons, hummingbirds & ducks to observe among other wildlife. The dock was well built and the kids enjoyed swimming from the dock to the beach. The little ones were very happy going into the water from the beach and playing in the sand. There were lots of sand and water toys. Having the wake boards, kayaks and life vests to use was a great benefit. We brought 2 small boats as well and explored the area, even went through the locks to Sebago lake. The house and location was great. It was very comfortable and fit our family of 16 well. The kids (big & small) all want to go back.
This house is great for a large family gathering. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The two kitchens, small bar area on the bottom floor with refrigerator, spacious bedrooms, large fire pit with plenty of seating and nice private beach with sand toys and watercraft available for use made relaxing an ease. The spacious plan was amazing with plenty of room for the kids to explore while not feeling blocked off from the rest of the house. We really enjoyed having the 3D tour of the house available prior to the trip to really understand the floor plan. Great stay!
This house was great for a full family getaway! Plenty of room for games, cooking and just hanging out! My only regret is not being there in the summer to enjoy the lake too!
The small private beach, stellar waterfront views from the spacious balcony, game room with ping pong, privacy -yet near town, fire pit, boating dock, and a lovely modern warm interior. We stayed here last August for our annual family vacation with 14 guests and the week was just dreamy. Thank you for everything!!
Loved our second stay at this home. We had a group of 14 so the house was a perfect set up. Beautiful, private, quiet location. Grocery store close by.
We booked this house to bring our entire family together to celebrate our 60th Wedding Anniversary. it was the perfect place and the house is just as described. It is well stocked with everything we needed, close to town and loved having the extras like the ping pong table and corn hole. Thank you for sharing your home, we hope to be back next year!
I spent a weekend here with some friends for an ice fishing trip. We had a great time and would love to come back again! Iâm sure that it is even more amazing in the Summer.
The house was large, spacious, and the lake location/accessibility to stores was unbeatable. The communication was top notch. The house was also super clean. Would come back here again and again!
Our group of 17 recently stayed at this rental and we had an overall fabulous week. Iâve found that when I look for reviews, I prefer a quick list of any issues to prepare for packing is the most beneficial - but again, we had a great week and these are simple things to prep for or change for your stay.
1. Having two kitchens was great, but the cook wear was limiting. Definitely not appropriate for a house that hold 25 people. Small pots and pans, limited supply of drink wear, etc. Something to plan for if cooking in large quantity.
2. Toilet paper had to be a specific brand and ply - no biggie, but we were only supplied 2 rolls per bathroom and then ended up needing to purchase our own for the remainder of the week. Again - 25 people, 2 rolls/bathroom felt light.
3. No baby supplies (stroller, pack and play, porta cribs, etc) but there were tons of beach toys and entertainment inside. Probably wouldnât effect most groups, but we were traveling with 6 kids, so just good info to have.
4. Some of the beds didnât seem to have box springs and the mattresses would be overly soft/sink pretty low, so something to think about as youâre working out sleeping arrangements.
Overall, weâd recommend this house and loved our stay. Host was responsive and the location was perfect. Hope these thoughts help future renters with their packing and planning!
We stayed for a week at Michaelâs beautiful placeâŠ1 family of 6 and 1 family of 8, all adult children. Loved the fact that there was a full kitchen for each familyâŠtwo refrigerators and fridge on the lower level were all used. Large dining room table with benches for nightly dinners and board/card games. We spent most of our time at the beach or on the huge deck (shaded and sunny areas) with table for 6, 2 chaises and other chairs. We also used the SUPâs and kayaks. We did bring beach chairs, but there are a number of plastic Adirondack chairs at the beach area and around the firepit (wood is supplied). There was enough space on the lawn to set up a croquet game (which we brought)âŠalso a corn hole set there. large tv with plenty of space for everyone to sitâŠwe didnât use it much, but nice to be able to watch a movie on a rainy day. Everyone had their own bedroom and there were plenty of bathrooms. No need to bring your own beach towelsâŠthere are many! Washer and dryer are large if you need to do laundry while you are there. Two people had to work part of the vacation and the internet seemed to work fine. Toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher tabs all supplied. Grill was quite large and had a full tank. Dock was adequate for our two small boatsâŠthere is also a mooring. Private settingâŠwe couldnât really see the neighbors. The grocery store, movie theater, restaurants, shops about a mile away Michael was very responsive to any questions and answered right away.
We had an extended family reunion, with 19 people ranging from 2 to 82 years old. This was a great property for us, with plenty of rooms and beds to give everyone their own space (even extra beds we didn't use!). The layout of the house provides accessibility for all common areas and one bedroom, with the remaining bedrooms on other levels--this worked out really well for the less mobile folks in our crew, as it was easy for them to join activities in the kitchens, living rooms, or on the deck overlooking the lake. The location on the lake was superb, with a dock for boating but also a lovely little sand beach for young kids to play and for launching of paddle boards and kayaks. All our family members enjoyed exploring the shoreline of the lake by kayak and seeing the wildlife (loons, a bald eagle, and many different birds). The outdoor fire pit was also a hit with a couple of campfire nights (accented by a supermoon) complete with songs and smores. Overall we were very happy with this home for our vacation and would love to visit again in the future.
This huge house is perfect for family reunions! We had 14 adults and 10 children ages 6 months to 10 years. The 2 kitchens makes it so easy to accommodate big families. The sandy beach was wonderful for all ages. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks & SUPs plus the dock. Second cousins whom met for the first time held hands across the bunks and the boys learned to fish from each other. It doesnât get any better. Life long memories were made.
My extended family spent a week enjoying Long Lake at this beautiful home and had a wonderful time. The house was exactly as described, the location was wonderful and the access to the water was perfect for all ages. I highly recommend this home.
