Ce haut de gamme avec 5 chambres, 3 salle de bain, nouvelle marque maison en rondins contemporaine est la parfaite escapade / retraite pour tous les âges. Sebago Lake est un endroit idéal pour profiter de la famille et des amis au cours de chaque saison. Plage de sable partagé avec plusieurs familles. Privé quai en eau profonde pour garder votre moteur ou voilier. Saisonnier bateau et pirogue pédale; entrée sur le canal à l'arrière de la maison. Notre configuration de 3 étages est parfait pour 2 familles ou les groupes en vacances ensemble! 1er et 2ème étages ont chacun des équipements de cuisine et salle à manger, salle de bain complète et 2 chambres. 3ème chambre-parole de maître, salle de bain complète, et un centre de divertissement dans le loft. Centre de divertissement bas a 47 'téléviseur à écran plat. Internet sans fil pour votre ordinateur portable. Laveuse / sécheuse, configuration de cuisine (vaisselle, ustensiles, articles de cuisine). Draps et serviettes! 5 minutes à pied de la plage. 1/2 heure de Portland. 1/2 heure océan.

An absolutely beautiful cabin with so much space and two complete kitchens! We walked to the little beach area nearby and spent a lovely afternoon in the water. It has every convenience with lots of Maine character. Highly recommend.

Wonderful week away

House and yard were very large, kitchen was extremely well stocked, dock was convenient for boat access, nearby beach (walking distance) was quiet and peaceful. Would certainly recommend for a relaxing family vacation!

Lovely cabin with lake access. The space was large enough for our multi family trip and host was responsive to the issues that arose. You can not see the canal from the house like the pictures somewhat depict. We had a great time regardless and absolutely loved Sebago Lake.

Family Vacation on Sebago

Overall this house is awesome for a large group. We had up to 14 people stay in the house. Bedrooms are spread across 3 floors for plenty of elbow room. The common areas on the 1st and 2nd floor and the huge 2nd level deck let everyone hang out together or in smaller groups. And there are 2 kitchen on the 1st and 2nd floors.Communicating with the owner is easy, and she is quick to respond. Got a big group? Then book this big house.

Amazing!

We stayed with a few families, all with young children, and it was incredibly comfortable and homely. We rented a boat for the week, so the adjacent dock in the canal was perfect! Easy in and easy out to Sebago. There was tons to do, whether taking a short walk to the private beach, bike rides, hiking Douglas Mountain, or a short drive to the Naples Causeway for some fun. Highly recommend and would definitely rent again!

Family trip

Everything was great Alicia is very easy to work with and very prompt in her response. The house and yard handled our group easily. The dock was a hidden gem we had four toddlers and they played in a little pool in between boat trips naps etc. Very nice location. Very nice person to deal with. Thank you.

Fantastic Vacation Experience

Perfect house for our week long family reunion. The house is adjacent to a large lake with plenty of space to park. Every room has its' own air conditioning unit, which we had never experience it in Portland, Maine. Kitchen was fully-equipped. The owner, Alicia, went above and beyond to make sure our family felt at home. The communication was excellent.

Nice Big Home near very Nice Water

This is our second visit to Shimmering Cove. We really appreciated the air conditioning added since our previous stay. Big home had a great wrap around deck for morning coffee and outdoor barbecues. Big lawn was great for games. The water was just a short walk from the house and had a swim dock. The fire provided a relaxing end to the day. I would have liked more towels than one per guest. We would stay again.

Another great stay!

This is my second time staying at this house with my extended family. There are three of us, my parents (the grandparents), my sister and her family with two young kids, and my family with 3 young kids. We each had our own floor with our own bathrooms, which was amazing. Communication was excellent-we had two minor issues and Alicia responded quickly and had a handyman there the next morning to fix them. No complaints here! Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Family Reunion

The layout of the house accommodated the four families dynamics. There was plenty of room for the little children to play in house and on property. Dock was located in a secure channel to dock a boat from weather. Having 2 kitchens was wonderful. Alicia the owner of property was available and helpful.

Awesome Family Reunion

We just returned from an awesome family vacation at this Sebago Lake property. My children and grandchildren came from all over and had a great week at the beach, using the paddle boat, having looong wiffleball events and eating s'more's by the campfire. The house is well planned and laid out and we loved the huge deck..... even when it rained at night we could move the tables under the roof and eat outside. My only regret is that the vacation is over! I would highly recommend renting this house.

Great Property

10 members of my family stayed here in July 2024 and it worked great. Each family had their own "level" with bedrooms and bathroom. We were concerned about our boat in the canal, as the water level was quite low, but it ended up working out fine. If you are visiting this property later in the summer, note that the water level tends to be low in the canal. Outdoor areas and fire pit were great. Texted quite a bit with the host and she was responsive and super helpful. Would def rent this house again!

Extended Family Time

We just finished a week at this wonderful home. The space worked very well for our group of 11. The two kitchens is a nice extra and the top floor is cool with a BR, Bath and sitting area. We really enjoyed the easy access to the beach and the canal docking access for kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards. A short 20 minute drive brings you to Naples Me which has a fun downtown and good places to eat. In short we would stay at this home again if we’re in the Sebago area. Alicia is a gracious host and quick to reply to any question or concern. Thank you Alicia for a wonderful family time vacation!

A very nice house

The house was lovely. The owner was lovely. Even the neighbors were lovely. In all honesty, everything was lovely. More specifically, the house can easily accommodate >15 people and still not feel crowded. The owner was very nice and very helpful. When the propane ran out (because we had 15 ppl using it a few times per day) she even offered to pay for the replacement. I would not only go back, but I would go back and not change a thing. It was wonderful.

Beautiful house- it was perfect for a family reunion. Many bedrooms with 2 cots and multiple couches to accommodate everyone. Decks on 2 levels were great for group dinners. There are 2 kitchens, well stocked with everything you could want, including cooking tools for the gas grill. Large grassy lawn that was great for games. Used the fire pit several nights. Good AC for the couple of hot days. Easy 5-7min walk to a private beach for the neighborhood. Small but we were the o ly people there each day. The water is pristine, the kids loved jumping from rocks submerged in the water. We brought our kayaks, there are 2 kayaks and a canoe at the house as well. There is a floating dock in the canal next to the house for easy launching. Spotty cell phone service at the house (WiFi works great) but recommend writing down the lock box code before you get there.

We had fun but……

No air conditioning was a big problem. Also, the pictures mis represent the location - you cannot see the lake from the property and the lagoon did mot add to the experience. The beach was nice but it was over 1/4 mile from the house - we had to shuttle there snd back. House decks were great - main kitchen well stocked which we welcomed. The house was very nice but the location was a let down for the price. Would not rent this property again .

We are so happy that you liked our house and property. We take great pride in its design and maintenance, and the privacy that it affords on having 2 acres on a peninsula with only 2 other houses. As we clearly state, the sandy beach on Sebago Lake is a 1200 foot walk (5 minutes for most people) from the house, and we do not have air conditioning. As summers in Maine have been getting warmer since we first built the house, we will be installing air conditioning to be ready for the summer of 2023.

Great Times on Sebago Lake

This home well suited our needs. There was plenty of space for our 8 plus an occasional guest. The dock was convenient for our 22’ pontoon boat and we spent a lot of time on the water. The younger members enjoyed the large lawn and lawn games. The beach was somewhat convenient but we didn’t spend much time there. The house was well stocked with everything you would expect and then some. Large table on the deck held us all for evening meals. The owners were very responsive and flexible. Love the layout of the house! I would question at some point the dock’s utility in August-Sep when the lake drops. We were able to navigate but without much margin. Another 6 inches or more I might be hesitant to attempt with my 22’ toon and 150HP. All in all a fantastic week. If you are looking for a fun place this is it!

Thanks, John. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting your family. We have set everything up so that it provides a good use of space when multiple or extended families are together. That’s how we use the house ourselves! As you know, Sebago Lake is lowered throughout the course of the summer. We have had the canal dredged so that we have been able to get a boat into our canal dock through August. We don’t lease in September, so so far it hasn’t been a problem. So happy that your family enjoyed your time in our little paradise!

Great house and location, but slightly cramped for 15

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. Check in process was extremely easy. Key was where it said it was. Directions were on point. Thank God there were two kitchens because 15 people would have never made it in one! Between the amount of people, the lay out of the furniture, plus the flooring for the next project, it could get cramped in certain parts of the house. You also have to watch what you say because you can hear everything between the floors. For this, make sure you vacation with people you truly like, if not, this is not the house for you because you cannot talk crap about one another without someone hearing it, lol. The beach area that is shared is also only big enough for about our party of 15, more than that would get cramped as well. Super quick walk though from the house, which was so nice! 40 minute ride to Portland, which was easy to get to. About 3 hours to Acadia National Park and was an easy ride, definitely make the trip! It will NOT disappoint! Overall, we had a great stay, just a little cramped on the inside, so we made sure we stayed outside majority of the time, besides sleeping. Thank you so much!

We appreciate your putting up with new flooring that we had stored in the entertainment room - which was installed the week after you left. 15 adults are alot to accommodate in our house, although we can sleep that many. We highly recommend less adults, with children for a more comfortable experience. As you mentioned, our 2 acres of property with many outdoor decks and porches and yard with firepit do make it easier to spread out. Thanks for staying!

We loved this rental! Lots of space for our two families, so much outdoor fun, and Alicia’s neighbors were super helpful. The house is beautiful and very comfy. Amazing beds - we all slept so well! We rented a pontoon boat and jet skis, and that made the vacation. We would’ve been bored without having so many water activities (we also brought paddle boards). The only things that we didn’t love were that the kids couldn’t really jump off the dock and swim in the canal bc it was very seaweedy & murky, and that the community “beach” was way too small to really spend a day hanging out there. Other than that, this was the perfect spot for a relaxing week! We would definitely stay here again.

Host was available whenever we needed her throughout the week. The house was comfortable and fun to have our group of 14 relaxing and recreating together. Highlights were dock for boat, kayaks, small beach in walking distance, and large yard for game and fire. It was a beautiful place to share our family time with one another!

This neighborhood has an idyllic old-world charm that feels like a step back in time, transporting me to an era of simplicity and tranquility. What truly makes this place special to me is the quaint old-time general store within walking distance. It's not just a convenience; it's a hub of community where locals and vacationers alike come together to share stories and laughter. Whether it's enjoying a cup of coffee, selecting high-quality meats for the grill, or indulging in a fresh, mouthwatering pizza, every visit to the store is a reminder of the simple pleasures of life by the lake.

What makes our property truly unique is the thoughtful design that fosters connection and relaxation. From the three spacious floors to the two inviting porches and decks, there's ample space for gathering with extended family and friends. Yet, it's the cozy nooks and alcoves scattered throughout that provide opportunities for quiet solitude, whether it's diving into a book or working on a puzzle. The icing on the cake is the canal with a dock right on our property, offering seamless access for boating or kayaking adventures without the hassle of driving elsewhere. But what truly sets our home apart is its proximity to the sandy beach on Sebago Lake, just a brief walk away, providing the ultimate convenience and enjoyment of lakeside living.
