12 Merchants Quarter is a beautifully restored Grade II listed granite building
Set within a beautifully restored Grade II listed granite building just moments from Charlestown Harbour, this striking three-storey, loft-style apartment blends Cornish character with contemporary comfort. Dog-friendly and perfectly suited to families, it offers a memorable retreat in one of Cornwall's most sought-after coastal locations.
Dating back over 200 years, 12 Merchants Quarter boasts a fascinating history as a former stone-crushing mill, warehouse and customs house. Its industrial heritage is proudly on display, with exposed stone walls, original beams and retained metalwork combining to create a wonderfully atmospheric place to stay. Accessed at ground level, the apartment opens into a light and airy hallway with a galleried landing. This floor features a modern shower room and a well-equipped utility room complete with washing machine and tumble dryer.
The sense of space and character continues on the first floor, where high ceilings enhance the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, the social heart of the home. Designed for relaxed gatherings, the space comfortably seats six and includes a Smart television, Alexa speaker and a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, microwave, combi oven, fridge, freezer, cafetiĂšre, stove top espresso maker, milk frother and dishwasher A dining table provides seating for all guests.
Also on this level are two beautifully presented bedrooms. The bedroom one features a sumptuous super king-size bed and the added luxury of an en-suite shower room, while the second bedroom offers a comfortable king-size bed. A quiet study provides a peaceful space to work or unwind, with a radio/CD player, and a stylish family bathroom with bath and shower over completes the floor.
The second floor opens into a spacious attic room with twin single beds, a television, a comfy chair and bean bag - ideal for children, teenagers or guests seeking their own retreat. Please take care under the sloping ceilings.
The owner's are committed to reducing waste and avoiding single-use plastics, with eco-friendly products provided. Bathrooms feature reusable pump bottles for toiletries, alongside environmentally friendly cleaning products and recycled loo roll - small touches that help care for the planet.

Please note, the patio is north-facing and is overlooked by a neighbouring apartment.
