The Milking Parlour has been renovated to a high specification. The eco-friendly development has its own water source, ground source heat pump and bio-digestor.
A much loved, peaceful retreat. The beds are comfortable, the sofas are stylishly sumptuous and the rain showers are invigorating. and there are plenty of board games to keep family and friends entertained.
The front door opens into the entrance hall (slate floor, coat hooks, shoe racks and large store cupboard) then into the beautifully appointed, light and spacious, open-plan living area with slate flooring and high exposed beams.
The well equipped kitchen area is large with plenty of seating for 6 to eat comfortably around the dining table. The fan assisted range cooker has a triple oven, 5 ring induction hob plus plate warmer. There are plenty of pans and utensils, crockery and cutlery to make a warming Sunday roast. There is a fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Two large, sumptuous John Lewis velvet sofas are arranged before the Wall-mounted TV (tilt and swivel bracket for ease of viewing), with surround sound. The stylish Aga wood burner adds to the cosy feel. The array of lighting options highlight the beautiful exposed original Pentewan stone wall and create a wonderful ambiance.
Two sets of French doors lead out to the enclosed courtyard terrace on one side and the patio and garden on the other.
There is only one step inside the property which connects the living area via the wide hallway to three king size bedrooms and the family bathroom (WC, large walk-in rain shower, large bath, basin and heated towel rail). The hallway and bedrooms all feature engineered oak flooring.
The master suite has a king bed with Hypnos mattress, en-suite WC and shower room (walk-in rain shower, basin and heated towel rail). French doors open from the bedroom to the courtyard garden.
The two additional guest rooms have zip and link beds which can easily be split into a combination of king and/or single beds, also with deep, comfortable mattresses. (Note: as standard, all rooms are set as Kings but 2 of the guest rooms can reconfigured to make a combination of king/twins as required - just state your preference on booking).
There are two enclosed gardens: The lawned garden provides access to and from the upper car parking area via a dozen steps. There is a hot and cold outside tap (useful for dog or bike washing) and a rotary washing line.
The gardens offer a quiet place to relax and stare at the cattle in the fields beyond with a range of comfortable garden furniture.
MOBILE RECEPTION:
There is no mobile reception inside the property however the WiFi is good (fibre to premises - FTP). Simply switch on WiFi calling on your handset to make and receive calls and texts.
INFANTS AND YOUNG CHILDREN:
Travel cot, highchair available and/or bedguard available. (Please request in advance).
DOGS:
This property welcomes two small or medium size well behaved dogs (no puppies) for a fee of £25 per dog. Please keep dogs off the furniture and beds and they must not be left unattended during your stay. Due to livestock on nearby farmland, dogs must be kept under control. Please always clean up after your dogs including in both the private and communal gardens. A additional cleaning fee will be charged if dog waste is left for the housekeeper to deal with, increasing her cleaning time.
COUNTRY LIVING:
The barn is located across the lane from a working dairy farm. Flies and smells are an inevitable part of country living and can more evident in the summer months.
