This place is Amazing

Great Views, Great Location, Amazing house. The Owner maintains constant communication via text messages and availble to help 24/7. The beds were great. This place is an amazing location and setup for family get togethers or romantic get aways. 5* through out the whole trip.

Don’t rent from this person

I’ve never ever had a worse rental experience! All you need to know about this property is that it could be nice, but it’s not very clean and the host is the most unreasonable person I’ve ever dealt with in a rental situation. After bringing up my concerns after being there 10 minutes, she called and within minutes told me she “didn’t like my tone” when she was the one who raised her voice and then said, “I’d like you to leave” which I was glad to at that point. I’m sure she has some story about how I was ungrateful and unreasonable, but I just feel bad for the owner of this property because this woman has no business being in property management.

Perfect Beach Getaway!

Beautiful beach house right on the beach with unobstructed views of the ocean - water just a few feet away from the house. Great walking beach - daughter surfed right in front of the house. Fun area - restaurants within walking distance. House was perfect for a family of 4 - very well equipped with everything one would need. Will return!

Amazing Pierpont Property.

Property was just as billed. My family and I have been staying in Ventura and Oxnard at the beach that last few years and the Chateau was our favorite. The view from upstairs is unbelievable. The house and amenities are all in great shape. Beach access is unbeatable. We plan to return next year.

Dream house!

What a beautiful house, What a beautiful view! This was a girls trip and we had the most amazing time! Chateau by the “C” had all the amenities and more! The host was amazing and thought of EVERYTHING! We didn’t wanna leave! We will be back!

Glorious!

After a year of thwarted vacations and stay-at-home orders, we wanted a change of scenery to ring in 2021, and man did this place deliver!! We loved just sitting in the upstairs living room, staring out the amazing floor-to-ceiling windows and watching the waves and surfers, and oh so many dogs. Every sunset was a different color, each more beautiful than the last. Looking forward to staying here again in warmer weather. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic

This is a fantastic property. Really enjoyed our stay at the "C". Weather was great and location is unbeatable. Enjoyed being able to spend time on the beach right outside the door and to be able to look out on the beach from almost everywhere on the property. Sunsets were gorgeous. The house has everything you need for a getaway. Kitchen is well appointed and everything in the house is in great condition. Looking forward to spending time there again soon. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location, excellent host

The pictures and description didn’t do any justice. The house was clean, had plenty dishes and pots and pans too. Had a lot of extra blankets, and pillows. Beach chairs and boogie boards and beach toys were available to use. The views were amazing! Easy access to the beach. And excellent, and easy to talk to host. We will definitely book again! Thank you Bunnie for your hospitality.

Perfect Oceanfront Getaway – Already Planning Our Return!

We had the most incredible stay at "Chateau by the C" to celebrate my birthday this past week. This picturesque oceanfront beach house exceeded all expectations. The large windows offered breathtaking views, and the home was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of seating both inside and out. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and there's nothing like falling asleep and waking up to the soothing sound of ocean waves. The house came fully equipped with everything we could have needed, from board games to beach chairs and toys, kitchen appliances, deck furniture, and even a fire pit. We felt like the house had everything we needed for a laid-back beach vacation. Plus, it’s just a short walk to some great restaurants, which made it easy to enjoy the local scene without having to drive. Communication with the property manager was smooth and seamless. She was always available and even checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay, which added a personal and comforting touch. Overall, we loved every minute of our stay and are already looking forward to our next trip back. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Perfect Covid "change of scenery" get-away!

We planned a short vacation to change up our scenery during the Covid pandemic. This was absolutely the perfect home to visit! It was clean, and literally on the beach! We sat on the sand, or by the expansive windows all day just playing and listening to the waves. The owners were extremely helpful and answered every email timely. They provided restaurant recommendations and the house had every beach amenity we could ask for. We brought our 1 year old dog as well. The house is pet-friendly and dogs are welcome on the beach. The beach was hardly populated which made it feel as if we had it all to ourselves. I highly recommend this property!!

Simply Paradise

In this year of 2020 and no distant travel plans, we decided to splurge on this nearby beachfront property. The reviews did it justice. Stunning views, beautiful sunsets, dog friendly, clean, comfortable and communication with Bunnie was beyond exceptional. Did I mention the views? Wow! I loved waking up early to those views, watching dogs play on the beach, surfers catching waves and people walking along the ocean with a coffee in hand. During the day it sometimes felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Each night before sunset, people and dogs came back to watch the incredible sunsets. This was the perfect getaway and I am already looking at my calendar to book another trip here.

California Paradise

We stayed at the Chateau during the first week of June to celebrate a birthday and the end of a brutal Covid junior year of high school for 3 hard-working 17-year-old girls. It was absolutely perfect! This house is beautifully appointed with everything a family could need for a fantastic stay at the beach. The girls had the whole bottom floor mostly to themselves (exactly what they needed) and the adults had the top floor. Views were phenomenal from every window. The kitchen has everything you could need, TVs were great, bedding -- super-comfy. I can't say enough about Bunnie's attentiveness and concern for our happiness, satisfactisfaction and responsiveness to any of our needs. We brought our dogs (we're pretty responsible dog owners) and they had a blast, too. I'm just grateful that we're local (in LA) and can come up in the off season. This house is a real gem. We'll definitely be back soon!

Excellent beach house on the water - relaxing, clean, amenities galore!

TEN STARS!!!!! Our family of four (adults) and two four-legged family members relaxed on the ocean for five days at this wonderful property right on the beach. Quiet neighborhood and beach, excellent location for beach walks and watching surfers and the sun set. Bunnie was so very responsive and gave us detailed information about what to expect prior to arrival, during our stay and at checkout. So easy! Fresh flowers, coffee, and wine were chosen for us, availabble at arrival. House was very well stocked with everything one could ask for (kitchen, beach, toiletries, etc.) and the space was perfect for time spent together watching to ocen (on the decks and indoors) as well as spaces for private time. This property reflexted the loving care invested in it. Thank you very much, Bunnie, for sharing your beautiful property and being such a great hostess. We hope to return next year for a reprieve from the Maine winters. :)

Take it nice and slow - a time to relax

I stayed 4 days at the Chateau by the C with my wife and 2 kids as well as another family of 4. With the kids ranging from 2-10 who happen to love the beach, this was the perfect place for us. The home itself is very spacious and clean. The living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms are very comfortable. The house comes with everything you need; plenty of towels, beach towels, board games, kitchen tools, blankets, soaps, utensils, foil, you name it. And if there's anything else you need? Well the supermarket is a 2 minute drive (Starbucks and Donut shop next to it), downtown Ventura is amazing and that's a 7 minute drive, and there's Foster Park where kids can play in the river as well. My kids (and maybe me too) were on the verge of tears as we were checking out. We made some great memories playing in the beach, walking our dog around, finding some new shells and rocks to take home, eating delicious food, watching the sunset, just taking it nice and slow. Highly recommend!!!

A Beachfront Dream

The Chateau at the C is a gorgeous beachfront property nestled in a quiet, relaxing and private community that will make you feel in awe once you step foot inside this 2 story property. We rented this property because it was in close proximity of our wedding on the beach at the Ventura Harbor. Upon arrival, Bunnie was more than the average accommodating and communicative than you would receive at any VRBO property. With all the stress that comes with a wedding, Bunnie made us feel at home without any additional stress that was already compounding up to the wedding day. The property? A big decision to book this destination, was we wanted to have some pre wedding pictures as we got ready, and the home did not disappoint. A large space downstairs that felt comfortable and beach accessible and when you first walk upstairs, it will take your breath away. The second story will wow you with amazing views up and down the beach a low populated beachfront. I mean, waking up to the smell and sounds of the ocean really starts your day off the right side of the bed, which the master bedroom provides an exceptional opportunity to just roll over and watch the tide come in. I could seriously write on about how much we loved this property. Overall I would highly recommend this home for a romantic getaway to a family retreat beachside. But, what I really appreciated even greater than the property, was Bunnie. Just saying before that level of communication and accommodation does not do justice on how she made us feel during our stay. Overall 5 out of 5 stars, I would give 10 if it was possible.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Our family has always loved the water. We have been fortunate to travel to many places where we enjoyed the waters of the world. Ventura was the perfect place for us to explore being able to stay weekends and summers. Often our family would dive and snorkel the Channel Islands, an untouched natural wonder. Close by is Santa Barbara offering superb underwater diving different from Ventura. Surfing, boogie boarding, boating, and deep sea fishing are pleasures you will truly enjoy while visiting Ventura. Our hope is you and yours will love the area as much as we do!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Chateau "C" by the Sea has come full circle. It was time to update the Grand Chateau. The entire house has been totally remodeled from ceiling to floors. You will notice walking up to the front door all the personal touches from the large "C" on the door to the larger "C" on the oceanfront side of the house.

We have personally designed the stained glass windows throughout the home. View the windows at different times throughout the day to see the changing colors of the fish and birds. We have added large portholes where you can look at the ocean as if you are on a ship. You will love the comfort and space of the home allowing a flow that is geared towards relaxation.
