The property itself was good, just a bit tainted by a few administrative issues. Even though I'm based in Aus, and booked Aussie accommodation that was priced in AUD, I was for some reason charged in euros, and a subsequent $19 international transaction fee. The number of calls and time it took to resolve this issue was a bit ridiculous and not worth $19, but I stuck it out and eventually they refunded the transaction fee at least. Annoyingly, we actually wanted 5 nights, but couldn't book 5 nights, however the system then allowed a 2 night then 3 night booking back to back. It was then a lot of back and forth with the "hosts" via a chat function only, with multiple different people, when I just had the simple request that we could leave our belongings across the two bookings. Someone finally got back to me after more prompting that this would be ok, and that they would reschedule the clean to the end of the second booking only. I'm still waiting to hear whether they will reimburse the cost of the cleaning fee that wasn't required or not. The place was nice enough, although a number of dishes weren't clean (assuming they were put away by previous guests), and the king bed has a definite ridge in the centre where two singles are pushed together, which was uncomfortable at times. The kitchen was also lacking a few key items which was slightly annoying to keep the kitchen clean e.g. no cloth to wipe benches, no spare bin liners, minimal dishwashing detergent/tablets.
