My family of five had a wonderful stay. It was very comfortable and nicely decorated without feeling overly fussy. The views are incredible and I loved having an outdoor deck with shade. Owner was incredibly communicative and helpful. We hope to return!
From the outside as compared to neighboring homes, the house looks small but we were very pleased with the spacious and open interior. A short walk to the beach, plenty of bed space and good communication with the owners were a plus. It was a little more than we planned to spend but we all enjoyed our stay very much.
We had 2 families ( 4 adults, 6 small kids) stay at this house and it was perfect! Large living room/dining/kitchen area which was ideal for our crew with kids. Short walk down the private boardwalk to the beach, large covered shade area and the owners are super sweet!!!! Fast communication and very accommodating!
Wonderful beach vacation with our grandchildren. Owners very responsive and helpful if you have any questions. House is beautiful and very spacious and everything you need is there. Visited the aquarium in Panacea and Wakulla Springs and loved both.
We had a few days to squeeze in a short getaway. AP has been our favorite spot for more years than I can remember! This house is absolutely perfect. Itâs well appointed, they have thought of everything and made it so convenient. The views from inside and the deck are stunning. This was our 3rd time staying at this beautiful beach home. Until next time!
So fun to watch the dolphins and walk down to the beach in the morning to see what washed up. Not much as far as restaurants/stores nearby in Spring so plan ahead. Lots of sleeping space and a comfortable living room. Beautiful views!
Very centrally located in AP, loved that the primary suite was located on the second story, privately. Wonderful indoor living space and PERFECT outdoor patio. Donât think twice, rent this house.
The house was great, the patio amazing and the beach was peaceful. We had great nights of sleep on the very comfortable mattress with amazing pillows! We ate all our meals on the patio where we could enjoy hearing the waves and watching the dolphins jump. The owners were very attentive and friendly.
Very nice place, cozy, and comfortable. Having the white sand beach in your backyard is unbeatable. The water was warm and calm in mid June. No crowds. We would definitely like to comeback!
My daughter was graduating from FSU in Tallahassee, and all of Tally was sold out 2 months before graduation weekend! I expanded my search outward, and lo and behold, the heavens blessed me with this fabulous listing, only an hour south of Tallahassee. We needed 5 separate beds to accommodate our family of grown adults, and this house has 6! I booked it immediately for 4 nights.Upon arrival we were absolutely delighted by the front/great room with the gorgeous elevated ceiling, with plenty of really comfortable seating. The long wall of windows overlooking the beach let in the light and the view but not the heat. We LOVED eating meals together at the outside table on the covered deck, with the fresh air and the beach right there! (You couldn't have paid me to leave that spot in favor of a restaurant, and I was the cook! :))There were no stairs going down to the beach, which was a lovely bonus for my cranky knee. We saw the dolphins feeding, heading west two mornings between 7:45 and 8:15 (May). One did a leap for my daughter! The beds and sheets were very comfortable, and the showers sufficient. The kitchen was quite well stocked. The hosts left a lovely card and a small pot of flowers for my graduating daughter! Soooo sweet!!!Other than the Friday night graduation ceremony (and the Publix run on our way in), we had no need or desire to leave the premises. We stayed and enjoyed our family time together immensely!! Highly, highly recommend!!
If youâre looking for a home on the beach that provides serenity, privacy and solitude and away from crowded beach, this is it!!!!
Mr Travis Franks was very accommodating and very responsive. Just grateful and thankful to him. Tremendous!!!
My family and I had amazing time here! I watched dolphins swim by while I was in the kitchen cooking breakfast! The deck view is beautiful. Not having to climb stairs was a huge plus for us. My mother in law canât go up and down stairs. She really enjoyed the level home with amazing views. I highly recommend this house. Please visit Carrabelle while your in the area. Ice cream and little shops for souvenirs.
If you want to get away and unwind, this is the spot for you! The hosts thought of everything you need to enjoy the beach The wildlife was astounding, although we are apparently the only guests that didn't get to see dolphins. We did see many birds and found three live sand dollars (we threw them back). It is definitely away from everything, so follow the hosts' suggestion and stock up food and suplies before you go. Definitely 5/5 stars!
My sister and I wanted to take our aunt to the beach. She hadnât been in 20 years. This home not only had a nice bedroom on the ground floor, but the covered porch and deck allowed her to enjoy the beach even on days when she didnât have the energy to make the walk to the water. There was not one thing that wasnât perfect about our stay. The weather was beautiful, the home is beautiful, comfortable and well appointed. The owners thought of everything! I have stayed here on a previous trip and Travis is a gracious host!
This house was perfect for our family of 7, (Including 4 kids ages 2 months-8 years old plus Grammy). Unlike the beachfront condos we were used to, the house was spacious and accommodating and the ocean was an easy walk from the house. The fishing was amazing and we enjoyed watching the dolphins while having our morning coffee. Thank you Travis for answering all of our questions promptly. We will definetly be back!
We stayed here in 2020 and had a great time, so we were excited to returnâthis time with friends and four kids (ages 5â11). At check-in, I noticed a couple of dead cockroaches but chose to overlook it and enjoy our trip. Within 30 minutes, the toilet paper holder in the half bath fell off the wall. After a quick attempt to fix it, I placed it on the back of the toilet and moved on.The rest of our stay was enjoyable, and while the home lacked a few conveniences, we were happy to overlook them. However, things took a turn after check-out. The owner messaged saying they were filing a claim for us ârippingâ the toilet paper holder off the wall and being unable to locate the piece, and for a small stain on a barstool. When I asked for photos, they said theyâd drop the claim if we paid x amount for a new stool. The photos showed the holder exactly where I said I left it. The âdamageâ to the barstool was a stain smaller than a fingernail that looked like it could easily come out with proper cleaning. We paid a hefty amount in cleaning fees and a damage deposit, so this left a bad taste. Iâm not someone who complains, but the way this was handled felt unfair. If youâre traveling with kids and arenât confident the home will be left in flawless condition, Iâd think twice before booking
The property had everything we needed. The location is phenomenal! No crowds, steps from the sand, and great views of sunrise and sunset. When it was hot, we had shade without having to go inside, and the new deck was perfect for catching rays without leaving the comforts of home. Dolphins chased fish right up to the shore directly in front of the house! Plenty of views from the kitchen, living room, and master of the beach. Travis was prompt to reply to inquiries, and gave this lousy fisherman some tips on where to cast a line. Weâll be back!
This was an amazing place to stay! We traveled here with my in laws and my three small children (7, 4, and 18mo). There was plenty of space to spread out and practically the whole back wall of the house is windows offering a beautiful view of the ocean, no matter where you were. I would like to note that the bedroom that has two twin beds does not have a wall that goes all the way to the top, and it is right next to the main living area. If you have someone older, or children who go to bed before the rest of the group, that room will not work, as noise can easily travel in there. The wall of that room goes to about 1 ft away from the ceiling. The kitchen was well stocked, which isn't always the case with VRBO rentals. Everything you could want from a blender to a coffee grinder were available. It is expected to wash, dry and fold the sheets before leaving at 10am on your check out day, which was difficult for us. The owner offered us the option of paying an additional $150 or do the sheets. I just want to make other renters aware that a cleaning fee is not included in this rental, but can be added on if you do not want to wash, dry and fold the sheets. Overall, five stars for the awesomeness of this house, the beautiful views, and the easy proximity to the beach!
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. I was celebrating my birthday and cannot imagine a better place in which to do so. The house is bigger inside than it looks, offering plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. But we spent by far the most of our time on the fabulous covered deck, which was delightful in the heat of the sun or during some rainstorms that moved through. We had a great day at St. George Island State Park and another morning spent paddling on the Wakulla River. It was fun to explore but we also would have been just a happy staying on the beach behind the house. Already planning our return trip to this fabulous home. Hosts very communicative and friendly!
We vacationed in the area for many years and finally decided to buy a beach front home on the point. We love the slow pace and peaceful surroundings. It's wonderful to spend time on a beach that has more birds than people. Our family enjoys playing in the sand, fishing, playing frisbee, throwing the football, flying kites, and picking up shells. We know you'll love it too!
Being ground level makes it super easy to get in and out of our home. You'll fall in love with the views of the Gulf of Mexico from our newly remodeled beach front home.
