Great stay at Skyline Meadows

We very much enjoyed our stay, and Eileen, who lives within shouting distance, was always available for anything--she fixed the internet on the first day we were there, and offered us fresh eggs from her chickens. Wonderful place to stay!

Weekend Wedding Retreat

We were attending a wedding in the area and this property provided a great place to stay with plenty of room to socialize and relax. Incredibly scenic and peaceful and only a few minutes outside of town.

This house & property was so beautiful, with an incredible owner. Everything was very clean, supplies were stocked, and the hot tub was easy to use. Overall we would love to stay again!

Fabulous stay!

Skyline Meadow is the best VRBO we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at many! Location is serene and gorgeous; yet, convenient to Luray restaurants, caverns, and Shenandoah National Park (Thornton Gap entrance). Eileen is an incredible, thoughtful, and responsive host and she provides everything you could need during your stay. She sells fresh eggs from her chickens and she even made me a baby aloe plant! Highly recommend and we will be back!

Fantastic House!

Our family has a wonderful time at Eileen’s house. There was plenty of room for our group; the house had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the piano and the nature trails on the property. We would stay there again if the opportunity arises.

Great Property, Excellent Views!

Stayed at the property for a long weekend with two families (4 adults and 4 kids ages 2-5). The layout was perfect for our families having 2 master bedrooms. Eileen was a great host and very responsive. The property is was in a great location within 20-30 minutes to several family friendly hikes and trails.

Spacious Luxury in Beautiful Shenandoah Valley!

What a wonderful find! This was the perfect getaway for our family of five in Luray. Plenty of space for everyone, nice and clean, gorgeous scenery all the way around, and close to town and activities. We were within 30 minutes of Skyline Drive, horseback rides, and rafting, and less than 10 minutes from Luray Caverns and restaurants. Eileen was a wonderful host and a pleasure to meet. We’ll be back someday!

Excellent Girl’s Getaway Weekend!

Overall great experience. A short drive from DC, with multiple wineries and cideries on the way and in the area. The house is quiet and secluded, but still close to local stores and restaurants. The house was huge with tons of great amenities (cooking utensils, coffee, bathroom, towels, etc.), and felt spotlessly clean and safe. The host was extremely friendly and communicative, and answered questions immediately. An overall great trip, just wish we had stayed longer!

Everything you need and more!

Perfect Cousins weekend! We were a group of 5 cousins who had not seen each other in 5 years and had a little reunion. Eileen was a great host and had everything we needed for our stay. The property was very well kept, we enjoyed the Mountain View’s of the Sunrise and Sunset and also the hot tub under the stars! It was so nice to stay at a VRBO and not have to bring all the necessities like coffee, sugar and everything else! Eileen even came up to the house and took a group shot of us before we left!

Great place for two families with small kids!

The listing was very accurate. We were two families with 5 small children between us including two infants. In case this is helpful to anyone else - The layout of the rooms was really conducive to this - there were two bedrooms with en suites and each had a next door bedroom with blackout curtains for kids. Both masters have walk in closets that are ventilated and were where we put pack'n'plays so no need for a slumberpod/blackout curtains for baby if you room in. One thing to note though there are no outlets in the walk ins so if your monitor/sound machines don't have long cords consider an extension. Great location, lots of room for kids to roam, easy drive to a ton of activities. We had a blast!

Fantastic Getaway!

We visited this property with another family and had a wonderful time. The home is spacious and very clean. You can tell the owner takes great pride in this property. We had more than enough room for 8 people. This is one of our best VRBO stays ever. Kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials. Lots of room for kids to run and play. We greatly appreciated the grill, bonfire and hot tub amenities. Our children loved visiting the animals on the property every morning. We can't wait to come back!

Best Family Vacation!

We have 4 kids ages 15, 13, 5, and 3. We chose this house and area because it would give all 6 of us plenty to do together. Between the house, which was spacious, gorgeous, and extremely comfortable, and the surrounding area (food, farms, wineries/breweries, mountains, lakes, and outdoor activities) we got to do so much as a family. It really was the perfect family vacation for us considering we have teenagers and young ram rods). Eileen is an amazing host and takes tremendous pride in her house and property, as does everyone else in the Luray area. We are so happy we got to visit this beautiful part of the country.

Picture Perfect Wedding

We had our small (50 guest) wedding here and everything was absolutely perfect! The home was large enough for our immediate family to stay with us for the weekend and for wedding guests to come in and use either of the first floor bathrooms. We were married with mountains as our backdrop and it couldn't have been more picturesque. Eileen was so helpful and kind! My husband loves horses and having the lovely Rabbit to greet with carrots each morning the cherry on top!

Perfect getaway

We had two families -- four adults and kids aged 7, 6, 4 and 3. Everyone loved their time at Skyline Meadow! The house was set up perfectly for our group (it's a great size for 2 families), complete with a huge backyard to roam around and play, comfortable rooms and gathering spaces inside the house, a gorgeous kitchen and an upstairs playroom with popular toys and books. Eileen answers questions quickly and made sure our every need was met. We really enjoyed our weekend getaway, had lots of fun doing activities in Luray and in the surrounding area, and are grateful that we had Skyline Meadow as a comfortable home base. Thanks again, Eileen!

I am an artist who studied design, photography, and graphic communication. Most of the art adorning the walls of this rental are my work. I designed this luxurious house, completed in 2008, with the goal of hospitality. As my two daughters move out to pursue their dreams in college, I am able to pursue my passion of welcoming visitors. I have moved out to a smaller residence on the property, and am usually available for any assistance. It will be my pleasure to accommodate guests celebrating family vacations, weddings, reunions, and business & spiritual retreats.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I love nature, and I first fell in love with this 26 acres property because of the mountain view. I also love the combination of meadow and woods. I keep most of the property registered in the Page County Land Use Protection Program to conserve natural resources and protect local wildlife. I maintain many paths through the woods so that visitors can take walks right on the property.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The view facing the Blue Ridge Mountains and Skyline Drive provides gorgeous sunrises and sunsets!

I named my home Skyline Meadow because of the rolling terrain which faces Skyline Drive. My home is only 10 miles (15 minute drive) to Shenandoah National Park Thornton Gap Entrance. Visitors can travel along Skyline Drive to many beautiful overlooks or hike one of the many trails.

Although nature surrounds this property, it is located only 5 miles (10 minute drive) to Luray Caverns and 3.5 miles (5 minute drive) to downtown Luray. Guests have many choices of shops, restaurants, and theaters (live and movie) to visit. Luray even has an art gallery!
