Matlock Bath, just over a mile and a half away, offers cafes, ice cream parlours, and the cable car to the Heights of Abraham. The old mill town of Matlock has independent stores and bars, while Chatsworth Estate (10 miles) and Haddon Hall (8.5 miles) have stunning gardens to explore. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the Peak District National Park, and there are excellent transport links with Cromford Railway Station nearby.
