Located in the tiny hamlet of Swinhoe, 1.5 miles away from the golden 1-mile-wide Beadnell Bay, this stylish cottage is a wonderful base for a family or group of friends who want to explore the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of the watersports on offer at Beadnell Bay which include surfing, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing as well as the many walking trails accessible along the coastline. Seahouses, the historic fishing village, with its vibrant harbour and fresh fish restaurants, is 1.5 miles away. Trips to the Farne Islands, with unrivalled opportunities for seabird and seal spotting, are available from said harbour. Alnwick, with its castle and must-visit gardens, are 12 miles away.
Decorated in a contemporary Scandi style, this cottage is a truly chic property. The ground floor features a living room centred around a wood burner, luxury sofas for sinking into and patio doors leading out to a decked area and garden. The fitted kitchen/diner is bright and spacious, and has a dining table for six. The hall area includes a beautifully finished children’s play area complete with toys and games. A utility room and shower room and WC are also located on this floor. Upstairs includes a large bathroom with a bath and the property’s three bedrooms: a king-size, a double and a twin with a single bed and a galley-style bed which is ideal for younger guests.
Outside, guests have access to an enclosed private garden with a terrace and some garden furniture, a perfect space for enjoying a cup of coffee and for children to burn off some energy. Alternatively, there is a courtyard-style garden with seating to the front.
