Noted for its steep streets, Stroud (3.5 miles) has a rich history in the textile industry, and is home to a vibrant arts and crafts scene plus a well-regarded farmers' market â all set against the dramatic backdrop of the Five Valleys, The Cotswold Way runs through the town, and you can enjoy waterside walks beside the Stroudwater Canal, currently being restored to its former glory.
