Phoenix is a large group of high rise properties along the coastline. Orange Beach is located on a barrier island , so the most direct route is accessed by ferry. This is very popular , but It’s not a fast process. It took us almost 3 hours from waiting in line to purchase a ticket to departure on the other side. You can go around and access by (I-10) through Foley,Alabama. The beaches are beautiful, and are worth the wait!
This unit is in the basement which is on the same floor as the fitness center, basketball court etc., Not much of an ocean view from this unit but easy access to the beach walkover. It was clean and nicely decorated with coastal themed decor. It has a private patio with direct access to the pool. It has outdoor furniture for a nice outdoor seating space. The beds were comfortable , and have minimal linens due to COVID restrictions. The kitchen Is equipped with toaster, blender, coffee pot & some filters, pots, pans , a few dishes , some glassware and silverware. The refrigerator was equipped with a small ice maker and worked fine while we were there. They supply 1 roll of paper towels and 1 roll of toilet paper/ bathroom, 1 pkg dishwasher soap, 2 trash bags, 2 small bars of soap etc... Plan to bring extra trash bags , dish soap, hand soap, paper towels , toilet paper etc... There is a Publix and Walmart grocery store nearby on Perdido Beach Blvd . Where you can pick up groceries and any essentials.
Plan ahead for beach towels , chairs, Beach toys/ boogie boards for the kids etc.,, as these are not provided with this unit. You can rent chairs from an on-site beach vendor, $40/ day. There are are also plenty of beach stores you could purchase these items if you don’t want to pack them. There is a stackable washer and dryer in the unit which worked great for washing beach towels. Bring your own laundry detergent and dryer sheets if you plan on doing laundry. Be prepared for long waits at local restaurants, and for carry out orders during peak dining times . This is a very popular vacation area for families and was pretty crowded with lots of large family groups traveling together. We did enjoy our 3 night stay!
