An impressive and opulent Scottish retreat, this stone lodge will be a superior backdrop to your special celebration or extended family holiday. Sleeping eight guests, the gorgeous, four-bedroom hideaway offers spacious, light-filled accommodation, a hot tub and beautiful outdoor spaces from its location, 3.5 miles from Blairgowrie. Arrange with the owners to go salmon fishing along a private stretch of the River Ericht. Play golf at Blairgowrie, Alyth (3 miles away), or the Strathmore Golf Centre (2.5 miles away). Enjoy a leisurely stroll at the Den of Alyth, 4 miles away, with its tranquil woodland trails. Visit Glamis Castle, 11.5 miles from your base, which was famously the inspiration for Shakespeareâs Macbeth. Plan a day trip to Perth, 18.5 miles away, where you can shop, dine out and visit galleries, museums and Scone Palace, boasting beautiful grounds. There is also an adventure playground and a maze for families.
Make your way into the splendid, single-storey abode via the stone steps or ramp and find yourselves in a spacious hall leading to the rest of the breathtaking accommodation. Creatively arranged in a U-shaped design, every inch of the interior here has been carefully considered and finished to an exceptional standard. Spend quality time together in the magnificent, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can take in the far-reaching views through the expansive windows and settle on the stylish L-shaped sofa to chat and pass the time of day together. Light the dual-aspect wood burner during the colder months then relax in its glow from either the lounge or dining area. Take turns preparing delicious meals in the stylish kitchen area or treat yourselves and arrange with the owners for a private chef to take over for a night. Guests seeking some quiet time or a movie night together might like to retreat to the separate snug with its Smart TV. Close by, thereâs a huge cloakroom/utility area, where you can leave your outdoor jackets and shoes, and an additional WC. The bedroom sections of the house are just as beautifully conceived as the living spaces. Stroll through corridors with floor-to-ceiling windows to discover the luxurious super-king-size bedrooms, which can all be set up as twin rooms by prior arrangement. Each of these offer either an en-suite wet room or a bathroom with a free-standing bath and walk-in shower. The bedroom with the wet room has been designed to suit guests with limited mobility.
