Visit Bamburgh (2.5 miles) and soak up the sun on the superb sandy beach, or visit the imposing medieval castle. Stretch your legs and breathe in the sea breeze on the Northumberland Coast Path, or hop in the car and head to Alnwick Castle and Garden (15 miles), recognisable from the Harry Potter films.
