Barefoot Guesthouse – A Warm, Spacious Hideaway in the Ribeira d’Ilhas Valley

Welcome to Barefoot Guesthouse, your serene home away from home in the lush valley of Santo Isidoro, right beside the world-famous surf break of Ribeira d’Ilhas. Tucked into nature yet close to the ocean, our spacious villa is designed to help you connect, unwind, and feel truly at ease.

Each room offers a private bathroom and a large, comfortable bed—many with sweeping valley views and some with their own private balcony. Guests share a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy lounge, and a vast garden that invites you to slow down and soak up the sun.

The Space

Our living room is the heart of the house—a warm, open space with:
• A fully equipped kitchen, including dedicated shelf and fridge space for each room
• A big dining table set by the fireplace, perfect for shared dinners
• Fresh teas and a welcoming coffee corner with a quality grinder and filter machine
• A comfy reading and games nook
• A lounge sofa overlooking the valley and garden

Attached to the house, you’ll find our bright coworking area, featuring six communal desks across two large tables and a private phone booth for calls or meetings.

The Garden

Step outside to discover:
• A sparkling pool with sunbeds
• Hammocks and shaded corners for quiet relaxation
• A fire bowl for cozy evenings
• A covered veranda with outdoor kitchen, BBQ, and a large Portuguese table
• A hidden outdoor shower to rinse off sandy feet
• A dedicated surf shed for your boards and gear

We also have a peaceful therapy room, ideal for massages, breathwork, workshops, meditation, or your personal yoga practice (fits 4–5 people).

And yes—it’s just a 10-minute walk to Ribeira beach and its iconic surf spot.

Guest Access

Because we’re nestled in the valley, every walk includes a bit of an uphill climb. If you prefer not to walk, Uber to Ericeira is around €4, and renting an e-bike or scooter is a great option (check Take Off E-Bike Ericeira for availability).
